Fort Myers 9 Months After Hurricane Ian
Hurricane Ian devastated Fort Myers in September 2022, causing widespread damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. Nine months later, the city is still recovering In this video, we take a look at the progress that has been made, and the challenges that still lie ahead.
We start with a visit to the Fort Myers Beach pier, which was one of the hardest hit areas by the hurricane. The pier was completely destroyed.
Next, we visit some of the businesses that were damaged by the hurricane. Many of these businesses have reopened, but some are still closed.
Finally, we show you some of the residences who were affected by the hurricane.
Hurricane Ian was a devastating event, but the people of Fort Myers are resilient. They are determined to rebuild their city, and they are hopeful for the future. #ftmyersstrong #hurricaneian
