wow, bring back memories, back in the 80's and 90's I did lot of boating , been to both places,.
I’m sure it was way better back then!
I live in Fla. and have seen wild monkeys while out hunting.
They are pretty awesome, but I wonder how many diseases they carry 😂
Im very interested in this ride when it warms up
I will work on setting one up with a small group.
@ please do, I ride with a small group of 4 guys that all want to do the ride
@ me too, will keep you posted.
Can I share a detailed trip route. I want to do this trip. Coming down from Ga.
I will gather the details and share them with you in the next day. It is a very complex area to navigate so I want to check with the guy that led the way.
I've been kayaking there for years...getting pretty busy the last few though. ALmost have to stick to weekdays.
We will never go back on a seadoo for that reason. Sticking to kayaking from now on.
I didn't get a heart by my name so he must be a tourist
Lol nope, not a tourist.
Simply missed it
@exploringourwaterways LOL LOL hope to see you around the island buddy it really messed our Island up bad
Look forward to it! Definitely earned a few drinks by the water 😂
@@exploringourwaterways 😂❤️
Anna Maria Island is one of my favorite places to vacation. I love early morning walks in the surf. I've been there many times. Heartbreaking to see all the damage. Thank you for making the video! I recognized many of the places and I hope they'll reopen before my next visit. I live north of Albany, NY and I was wondering how the recovery was going. Well done to all the crews!
I get exactly what you are saying. It is by far one of our favorite places to visit and lucky to only live 15 minutes away. We used to live in East Greenbush for several years. Small world!
@@exploringourwaterways That's awesome - definitely a small world! I live in Clifton Park. I used to live just up Route 4 (Rensselaer) when I first moved to the area back in 2004. Best wishes in the recovery. I'm looking forward to coming back.
Thank you! Our friends own Mangino Mitsubishi in Clifton Park. We were actually near Rt 4.
Wheres this at?
Hi Victor this is the Weeki Wachee
How are the businesses on Pine? Are they open?
Lots of cleanup still.
We lived in Bradenton for 17 years, and it breaks my heart to see all the devastating on the island and areas. 2 years ago after Ian we left and moved to Tennessee. We have such beautiful friends still living there. My prayers are all of you there who have lost homes, and my hope is that you will rebuild and be strong.
Yep totally sucks to see. Where did you end up settling after Bradenton?
Still looks like a beautiful place Ray
Sure is! Paradise🏝️
@@exploringourwaterways Absolutely
Wow, yeah that’s crazy. Mother Nature
Very sad, but looks like cleanup is coming along. Floridian are Resilient.
Yes sir! Cleanup is going fast! Beaches are reopen.
Badass!
Right?
Love it!
How you been?
@ Thanks for asking Ray. Good brother, busy still with work. HVAC service, installs & sales still kicking down here in South Louisiana with the 80°+ temps! Haven’t rode this month much. Need to get my old broken PWC’s in the stock this coming week. How is everything out your way?
Very sad, hate to see that. But we both know it comes with the territory unfortunately with living along the Gulfcoast
Yes sir! Sucks to see
Beautiful for sure, love those adventures
The problem is.. is that tourist bicyclists and joggers really need to stay out of the way of the people who are trying to clean up the island there is a lot of damage here and a lot of it you can't see houses that got flooded will be condemned that are on ground level people lost everything they had❤😢
This is true
Yay I got a heart ❤️ LOL
Felt like the tin Man for a minute 😯😂
@Darrell-o7j 😂😂😂
Thank you for sharing. This is a great video update .
You are welcome! Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
So sad to see my childhood memories covered in sand & debris. My great grandparents lived on AMI & we’ve been down every year since I can remember & I’m 50. Thanks for the video. Appreciate your efforts to bring this information to everyone. Good work!
Very sad indeed. Thank you so much for sharing your connection to the island and watching the video.
So happy to see the island making its way back. Thank you for sharing this video and for keeping us informed. Love the drone images!
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the drone footage!
I always dreamed of living there😢 The island is still beautiful. Nice shirt!
Keep the dream alive! It is still a beautiful place! Appreciate the comment🙌
We love AMI! We were just there in March and happy to see the recovery efforts are progressing so quickly. Stay strong!
Appreciate the comment! Hope you get to come back soon!
So glad that you are on the way to recovery. Pray that you will get the necessary help. Lots of work ahead.
Certainly lots of work!
Thanks for doing this and keeping us up to date. We stayed at Playa Esmeralda INN last spring a couple days. About 6:30 in.
Great place to stay! Thank you for watching the video and commenting, totally appreciate your support.
Anna Maria Island is our favorite place to go. We will be going back to the island this weekend now that it is open again.❤
Thanks so much for watching and commenting, enjoy the island this weekend. I know we will be there for a Pina Colada and a Grouper Tacos!
What are they going to do with all that sand.
It gets sifted, and put back on the beach. Its a crazy operation.
Wow, God bless you all dealing with this catastrophe.. poi do care about your families and businesses..
Thank You
All the sand has to be sifted of debris and cleaned before it can be returned to the beach.
Yep, pretty crazy operation to watch.
This is super sad to see, looks like recovery is moving along well though! #FloridaStrong
Indeed!
so sad :(
Yep
SMH ! I am saddened by the devastation. T.Y.
You and me both! Thanks for watching and appreciate you taking time go comment. Have an awesome day 🙌
Anna Maria has been my vacation spot since I was 10, first visit in 1998. It became touristy and popular in about 2010-2012. I was there and on the trolley and heard some foreign language so I asked where they were from... Germany, was their answer. They said it was listed in a top 10 beach magazine they had found. So it's been touristy for 10+ years now, which is unfortunate but also great for the city and homeowners. I always wanted to have a home there because it was affordable in 2010, but I was just starting my career. Every time I made enough money, property rates had continued to climb and owning a home was just always out of reach and now it's nearly impossible since every property is over 1m. Thanks for the video tour, I'll be there end of this month and was able to see that the rental I'm going to is still standing with some workers in it so fingers crossed.
It is an amazing place isn’t it? Safe travels and hope you have a blast on your vacation. I agree it is super expensive now but plenty of places to buy within a short driving distance.
i us ed to live there from 1960 to 1967 ben back only twice about 1971 and 1986 went to manatee hi school and walker jr hi im from providence rhode island now live in southeast massachusetts 45 years next month with wife and 2 kids 4 grandkids
I am sure it was amazing back then!
Thank you for the update. sad to see the island looking like that.
Indeed! Thank you so much for taking time to watch and comment. Totally appreciate it!

Seriously, Huge thanks to all the volunteers putting in the work! You are amazing!
Thanks for sharing the video with us! So sad, for all the families and businesseses🙁
Thanks for watching! Agreed! Shes bruised but will be back to looking as pretty as always soon.
Thanks for sharing the video. So sad to see. My family just visited there for the first time this past summer. What a beautiful place and it will be once again.
Thanks for the comment Scott! I agree, it is such an incredible place and we are beyond blessed to be just minutes away. It may be bruised, but it is still beautiful and will be back to normal in no time. It was so awesome seeing stores opening up and people enjoying the beach!
My wife and I visited from the FL east coast to Ana Maria Island a few years ago, around Covid time. Ate at the Rod & Reel Pier. I cant believe it is just gone. The destruction is overwhelming, but Florida is resilient and will come back in time. Also, love your Seadoo videos - the quality has improved so much from the early videos. Take care and thanks for the look at our friends on the west coast. Hope to come visit soon.
Thanks so much for the comment, and you are 100% correct, Florida is is resilient and will certainly come back in no time, I am blown away time and time again how quickly things go back to normal after these major storms. Totally appreciate the comment on our videos, this UA-cam journey has been a learning experience and we are enjoying every second of it!
Yes, we have monkeys and clowns, it's a real friggin circus down here!
😂😂😂😂 100%
Sad to see man. Although I will say, knowing how determined these folks are, AMI will be back and even better!!
Agreed! They have made impressive progress already.
Where is that???
Monkey Island, Homosassa, right on the river.
Looks amazing .
It is amazing. You definitely have to add it to your list.
One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE places to ride!!!!
Me too! Cant wait to return!
