- Urbex adventure to St Peters Seminary in Cardross, Scotland. Described as a building of world significance due to it brutalist architecture and listed by Historic Scotland this former priests training college opened in 1966 with a capacity to train 100 students, due to a decline in candidates entering the priesthood that number was never reached and the building ceased that part of its life in 1980. Due to maintenance issues owing to the complexity of this unique structure it’s second life as a drug rehabilitation centre ended in 1984 and the building has decayed since.
Most of the wood and glass have been removed and their are hopes that the Kilmahew education trust, it’s current owners, can bring it back to life but only time will tell……..
