as a proud irish man i must say one may NEVER share ones drinnersis beer with anyone feckin EVER especiallyno womers bjayyyizz ,a man needs his beersis so he do dont he? unless its the last or your awaiting taxi's or droppin yokes !! Haha
I feel bad after seeing that abomination you guys were given from the takeaway lol, so if you want to try a proper salt-pepper-chilli platter I'll tell you the ingredients to make it. Contrary to popular belief in Ireland, it's not actually an Irish dish originally, but rather was a seasoning created in Liverpool (England) by the Cantonese community back in the 1960s when they were infusing Cantonese cuisine with traditional UK chip shops. The goal was to create a seasoning that was better suited to our palettes, in the same way that the chicken tikka masala was created in Glasgow (Scotland) as an infusion of Indian and British cuisine. But anyway, to make a proper spice platter you'd want to include: Bell peppers, chilli peppers (including the seeds), sichuan peppers, black peppercorn, garlic, salt, five-spice seasoning (generous amount of it), sugar, white onion. All the peppers and onion should be sliced so they are thin strands, and the garlic should be crushed. Throw everything into a wok and stir fry until the moment right before the onions start to caramelise then take it off the heat and it will be ready. After that, you can then mix and shake it in with whatever it is you want to season. The sugar is what helps the seasoning stick as your shake to mix it, and if done properly then it will be completely coated. So fries/chips shouldn't look plain at all, they should be covered in the chilli seeds and seasoning. :) Normally we'd have it with chips (fries), spare ribs, spring rolls, battered chicken balls, chicken wings and chicken poppers. But it can go with almost anything. Then you'd want to have sauces separately for dipping; that can be curry, satay, soy, whichever you fancy (or no sauce at all).
That was a terrible excuse of a "Spice box" guys, there should have been plenty of "Salt & Chilli" ingredients in there like chopped onions both regular and green, chopped green peppers, garlic and chillies, hence the "Spice" element. Plus the chicken balls had basically no meat in them, there should be nice big thick chunks of diced chicken breast inside those. And usually everything is organised into separate sections, like chips one corner, balls another, shredded another etc. so you can see everything individually, not just thrown into the box like a mess here. Also there's usually a better variety of ingredients too, like some spare ribs, spring rolls, prawn toast, satay skewers, rice, noodles etc. Maybe next time.... or try Scotland they created the real "Munchie box" :)
Unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be one of the best spice bags (or box). Good spice bags are spicy and a tiny bit sweet with lots of seasoning! If you’re going to Dublin I would really recommend the spice bag from Chop Chop, their spice bag is unreal! Enjoy Ireland ☘️
AHHHHH you guys that spice box didn't look like I expected at all!! Good on you guys for making the most of it! And once again- thank you so much for your videos that inspired me to start vlogging again! Can't get enough of your content! xx
FYI guys - make sure your credit card covers car rentals in the Republic of Ireland. I used the CapitalOne Venture in Europe for car rentals and it does not cover a few countries including Ireland
Galway is actually a city not a town and it is amazing. Go to all the traditional bars for great drinks also if you are looking for amazing sea food, Moran’s on the weir, in Kilcolgan is your spot. Take aways are not proper irish food don’t do it to yourselves! Also you have to travel the Wild Atlantic Way, spectacular scenery!
Great Video, I have travelled Ryanair lots of times and have always had a good experience with them as long as you check in in advance and print your boarding pass. Looking forward for your Ireland videos :)
The strips of chicken are normally Salt and Chili chicken, and the chips are also salted chili chips, the green bits may well be sliced spring onions/scallions, FYI.
I love your vlogs I think they are wonderfully created and editing. I love seeing your relationship and how much y'all love to travel and explore our planet.
The electric loading thing use to be THE WAY and am wondering if it still is in rental type situations. I bet others can comment on this! Awesome adventure and thanks for bringing us a long again!!!
Your trip must include beautiful Conemarra, The 12 pins (mountains), Achill Island, the ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula scenic coastal drives &, hire a boat on Lake Killarney.
That spice box looked terrible, to be honest. But I like how optimistic you were about it ;) I guess when you are very hungry.. almost anything will do.
Thank you for the video guys. As always, it's much appreciated. However, I think I'll take a rain check on the "Spice Bag". I can think of better things to spend my money on. :O)
It's definitely a similar idea to our Scottish 'Munchie Box' but looks like not the best example, it's the same here, you'll get a good one or average one depending on where you go.
Next time you’re in Scotland, go to a chippy that does a Manchu Box. It’s like your spice box will be a selection of items from the takeaway - chips, pakora, things from the fryer usually all sitting on a pizza size garlic bread!
You mean a Munchie box from a Kebab place full of Lamb Donner, Chicken Donner, Chicken Tikka, Chicken pakora, Vegetable Pakora, chips, salad, sauces, pitta bread etc. etc. :)
Ryanair, Easyjet, Wizzair (and most low cost airlines in Europe) charge you to print a boarding pass. Download their apps onto your phones and get your passes on there... the majority of European airports now have scanners which will scan your phone screen rather than the paper print out (and you can do the check in etc on the app). Most of the apps also download the boarding pass so you don't need data at the airport, or you can just screenshot it and use the screenshot :)
That spice box looks like ummm nothing spicy! But yes definitely for after drinking a few pints lol nothing special though! Hope you guys get a better experience from Ireland’s food!
I haven't seen a coin-operated electricity meter since I was a kid! Brings back memories of family holidays in our favourite self catering apartment in Ramsgate, Kent...
You are in my favourite country! So much so I got dual citizenship! Car rental in Ireland is the absolute worst for insurance. It is the only place that I would even consider full insurance for the peace of mind but it is double the cost. I was told it is because of the narrow roads that cause all the dings and accidents. Let me know if you need any help with your trip! I got lots of tips. Enjoy Galway! Try to get over to the Aran Islands if you can and see the wormhole!
I've had a slight fascination with Ireland but though I've never been there my favorite is London!! I'm from Missouri like you guys, small town Monett and never been out of the USA unfortunately. 🤎🤎🤎
You did get peppers, that’s what those green things where (green peppers) it’s also called a spice bag coz of the seasoning on the chips. Hope y’all drank plenty of water after lol. Galway is the nicest city in Ireland, but isn’t big....just perfect size to walk around. Enjoy
If you get the chance on the way back from Ireland, try the Jack the Ripper walking trip in London. I know for one i would be interested in seeing it, and from looking online it is a cheap but interesting and educational outing at night time.
Coin operated electricity meters used to be really common in the UK (and, I guess, Ireland). "Put a shilling in the meter". The electricity from them tends to be expensive (the meter man used to come round and empty the meter), and the meters got vandalised by people breaking into them for the money. There are very few now in the UK, but they concept is still around - but you buy a plastic token from a shop instead, which downloads some kind of electronic key into the meter (so no money can be stolen, and the token can be charged up with various amounts of cash). More than you wanted to know! I stayed this year in an Airbnb in Aviemore in Scotland that had this kind of deal.
I'm 2 years late on this but I've justoved into a flat that's quite old and I have the old electric and gas meters lol..blew my mind but coping with them🤦
I look forward to following along on this trip. I have been to Eire a number of times, but never earlier in the year than May nor later than October. Even in summer, the weather can be a bit sharp. Galway is a great town; very historic, scenic, and a few good restaurants, to boot. Slainte!
Howth is where my dad comes from and I grew up only a couple of miles from there (Baldoyle). Going all the way to Gort for a rubbish Chinese seems like a lot of wasted effort. You can do a lot better for food in Ireland
Sorry guys, but that meal is a total rip off, Ireland is a great place to visit. I'll guarantee you'll have better fare than that on your travels there, keep up the good work.
Cool that you’re in the West of Ireland. From Gort, along the R460 heading to Ennis, there’s a couple of places small parking areas off the road where you can explore the Burren.
As an Irish person can I clarify a Spice bag , 1) it’s a comfort food particularly great when hungover 2) the spice box they got looks bad 3) Gort where they got it is small town in Galway not really a Mecca for good food. 4) it’s kind like a cult thing in Ireland , like deep fried Mars bars in Scotland . The guys have been to Ireland a few times and eaten great Irish food , guess they wanted to try an Irish crappy comfort take away food .
There is no 'deep fried Mars Bar thing' in Scotland. It's more of a myth than a cult. I'm pretty sure it was something a comedian made up then tourists started asking for.
Where I live (yorkshire) we call it a salt and pepper box, it's kinda different we have some different things inside it we have: . Salt and pepper chicken .salt and pepper chips . 2 ribs .2 veg spring rolls . 2 curry samosas (don't really like them tho) . Fried rice . Sauce And then u can pay for some extra things like chicken balls or crispy fried wontons and stuff like that I think that's right anyway

The Endless Adventure omg spice bags are 1 of Ireland’s greatest creations

I agree. I will take this spice box off their hands so that they need not go through the ordeal of eating it.
If u go to the north in belfst there like that to
Terrible excuse for one
I agree if u try it in Yorkshire it is very nice I get it from a place called 'pearl dragon' in pontefract
I love spicebags so much lol so nice litterly want one now
Absolutely.
Not the best looking spice bag I've seen.
The little kiosk across from Connolly station does a nice one. 👍
'Super affordable' is not a description of Pret A Manger i thought i'd ever hear haha
Darren my thoughts exactly!
Lol i thought that too as its very expensive looool
Maybe in the airport... otherwise no lol
AHHHHH you guys that spice box didn't look like I expected at all!! Good on you guys for making the most of it! And once again- thank you so much for your videos that inspired me to start vlogging again! Can't get enough of your content! xx
It should definitely have sliced peppers and chillies. That box was also well below standard, quality wise it looked very poor.
Waterford has the vbest in eiere
For everyone from Dublin u all know that’s a munchie box not a spice bag
You worked so hard selling that spice box. Good job!
You all have me craving a spice bag...but new year new me! Right?
Try the wok shop in clondalkin dublin
Oisins mummy here love you guys prob seen everything love to see you travelling have fun god bless.
I would call it the Cholesterol Box lol
Hope you've got your mobility scooter ordered.
No cholesterol, no fun. :)
It's all fun until the first heart attack.
This is the cutest place!!! ...
The chicken balls like that are normally served with sweet and sour sauce or curry sauce in a Chinese takeaway in the uk.
@jameslock1 yes . And ???
It's a munchie box in Scotland. It comes in either Indian or Chinese form.try a bag of spice for a whole new experience
FYI guys - make sure your credit card covers car rentals in the Republic of Ireland. I used the CapitalOne Venture in Europe for car rentals and it does not cover a few countries including Ireland
I'm far too excited seeing you get the A bus, The bus I catch every week! 😂 😂
Allison: "got some drippin balls hey"
Eric:.........
😂😂😂😂
Those chicken balls are basically a chicken filled doughnut and are best eaten with the sweet&sour...
On behalf of Ireland we apologise for that sorry looking spice box
Nice box of grease there guys! Enjoy yourselves
Galway is actually a city not a town and it is amazing. Go to all the traditional bars for great drinks also if you are looking for amazing sea food, Moran’s on the weir, in Kilcolgan is your spot. Have fun guys in Ireland. I really enjoyed my time there and I would like to go back during the summer
Can't wait for Ireland in the summer!! Thanks for the info. :)
In love with this country! I'm counting down to go back. Eat Bunsen in the city centre!
What cute little cottage. Plus you have a matching car. Love how you both just crack open some bear and enjoy the pizza.

"Are you havin' a laugh dude?"
Top quality mashup of British and American English right there.
Love spice bags, that's how I found your video.
Having my morning coffee while watching you guys. Perfect morning! I miss Ireland.
There is a reason that Ireland is so green
We stayed in Dublin at 5 days ago ! Now we are making some vídeos too 💪We loved Ireland!! Regards from Portugal 🇵🇹 Luís Maria Trip
I love that you all keep coming back to the isles....thanks for sharing some of my favorite parts of the world!
Great Video, I have travelled Ryanair lots of times and have always had a good experience with them as long as you check in in advance and print your boarding pass. Looking forward for your Ireland videos :)
"Timmy's been a real spice bag"! That made me laugh...thanks! I always look fwd to your vids.
You have a surreal life traveling so much.
I’m in love with spice bags ❤️
Great vlog! That fire looks cozy. I look forward to seeing more of the surroundings. I have always heard that Ireland is gorgeous.
The strips of chicken are normally Salt and Chili chicken, and the chips are also salted chili chips, the green bits may well be sliced spring onions/scallions, FYI.

You guys are so under rated. I love watching your videos and what your up too! Such nice people. Hope you enjoy Ireland 💜
Ik it’s about the food but I’m Irish and that cabin looks like the best spot in Ireland
Going to Ireland and hoping it won't rain?
🌈⛅☁☔🌂☁⛅🌈
That can happen remember 2018 summer
Yes, but in January? Even 2018 wasn't that good.
It's gonna rain trust me 😂😂
Your trip must include beautiful Conemarra, The 12 pins (mountains), Achill Island, the ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula scenic coastal drives &, hire a boat on Lake Killarney.
Loved the cute accommodation you had there. Not the best spice box I guess, but when you're hungry ;-) Thanks for sharing your adventures 🥰
That spice box looked terrible, to be honest. But I like how optimistic you were about it ;) I guess when you are very hungry.. almost anything will do.
You HAVE to try a spice BAG up in Dublin and surrounding areas. A lot of the other county’s only do spice boxs
i’m a little late to this but definitely the spice bags up in dublin are the best , up the dubs 😁😁
i live in Gort!! so nice to see you enjoyed it
Thank you for the video guys.
As always, it's much appreciated.
However, I think I'll take a rain check on the "Spice Bag".
I can think of better things to spend my money on. :O)
“Gort “ OMg hahaha There are tons of brazilians living in that Village
Merry Christmas, you two! Thank you for sharing your travel adventures. Happy 2022!
Fascinating seeing that spice bag. Never seen something look so American and so foreign at the same time. Really surprised we don't have that here.
It's definitely a similar idea to our Scottish 'Munchie Box' but looks like not the best example, it's the same here, you'll get a good one or average one depending on where you go.
The spice box looks like it comes with a side of regret. Lol
“ Got some drippin balls huh ? “ - Allison in Ireland 2019
Next time you’re in Scotland, go to a chippy that does a Manchu Box. It’s like your spice box will be a selection of items from the takeaway - chips, pakora, things from the fryer usually all sitting on a pizza size garlic bread!

Unfortunately Ryanair make non-EU citizens have a hard copy printed boarding pass for a "visa check" stamp - it's very annoying!
@@thecitymidde well that's just rubbish!! Oh well, you learn something new every day!
It kinda depends were you get it from but there usually spicey
That spice box looks like ummm nothing spicy! But yes definitely for after drinking a few pints lol nothing special though! Hope you guys get a better experience from Ireland’s food!
I'd like to be left alone with the spice box for a moment.
Ask a random stranger in the UK where you can get a spice bag, make sure you film their reaction :D
Ireland isn’t in the UK
I haven't seen a coin-operated electricity meter since I was a kid! Brings back memories of family holidays in our favourite self catering apartment in Ramsgate, Kent...
Same here. Using fifty pence pieces and turning the handle!
@@Tinderchaff i have them now in my flat in the UK..it's a very old building lol 🌻
Love Ireland. Can't wait for the next vlogs. The spice bag looked interesting, any chance you're trying it again at another location?
Great, really enjoying your Ireland journey already,be great to see what you make of it.
Galway is beautiful. Enjoy 😊
Allison jumping on the bed with her pose was cute. Made me laugh. I had to replay that lol. Cute little place guys. Enjoy your time :)

Please guys come to donegal!!!
ACTUALLY GET SPICE BAG FROM A GOOD PLACE! ITS SO GOOD IF YOU GO TO THE RIGHT PLACE!!!
I've had a slight fascination with Ireland but though I've never been there my favorite is London!! I'm from Missouri like you guys, small town Monett and never been out of the USA unfortunately. 🤎🤎🤎
That Spice Bag looked like my grandma on a bad day
Tha Spice Box looks amazing! Great hangover food or just a great all around food!
Bruh that box looks so unseasoned
You did get peppers, that’s what those green things where (green peppers) it’s also called a spice bag coz of the seasoning on the chips. Hope y’all drank plenty of water after lol. Galway is the nicest city in Ireland, but isn’t big....just perfect size to walk around. Enjoy
re: the peppers, I think they just thought there was going to be a lot more of them
Awh love these guys , I always wanted to see what other people think of Ireland x
oh man you guys were only 10 miles away from me! Luton airport is my nearest airport :). Typical British weather I see :D.
If you get the chance on the way back from Ireland, try the Jack the Ripper walking trip in London. I know for one i would be interested in seeing it, and from looking online it is a cheap but interesting and educational outing at night time.
Galway is lovely and driving around Connemara was the highlight of my trip so I hope you get out there too.

Happy New Year Guys. From New Zealand🎉
According to Wikipedia, it should definitely have red, green and chili peppers.
If you going to go to Dublin at any point during your trip, stop by the Vintage cocktail club. It might be really cold but check out Howth.
Michael Guzman any chance you’re a puertorro living in Dublin cus I am ! 😁

Spicy boxes and dripping balls. Great job!
Woo Galway! My husband's Irish ancestors are from Galway. It's on the travel list.

Cool that you’re in the West of Ireland. From Gort, along the R460 heading to Ennis, there’s a couple of places small parking areas off the road where you can explore the Burren.
Totally normal in UK and Ireland for insurance to cost much more per year than the value of the car, even for private owners.
We miss you guys! You know summer is just around the corner here in Alaska;)
I live near there and had no idea spice bags traveled outside of Dublin. Maybe try it again in Dublin and compare.
