How to Make DIY Mosquito Repellent Body Butter

Welcome back to our channel. Today we are sharing a fun and practical DIY project: making natural homemade mosquito repellent body butter. If you're tired of commercial repellent and want something gentle in your skin, then this is the recipe for you.
Here’s what you'll need:
Mango Butter (1/4 cup): It’s hydrating and has anti-inflammatory properties.
Shea Butter (1/4 cup): Is a natural moisturizer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant that's ideal for your skin.
Fractionated Coconut Oil (1/4 cup): Moisturizes and helps solidify the butter.
Arrowroot Powder: Can absorb moisture without drying out the skin. Will leave the butter feeling non-greasy.
Essential Oils: Choose from citronella, eucalyptus, lavender, tea tree oil, cedarwood, lemon grass. These are all known for their mosquito-repelling properties. I used 5 drops each.
5 Vitamin capsules to prevent the butter from going rancid.
Preparation Steps (1 minute)
Melt the Base: Start by melting the shea mango butter together. You can use a double boiler or a glass bowl over a pot of simmering water. Stir occasionally until everything is fully melted and combined.
Add Essential Oils: Once melted, remove the mixture from heat. Add your essential oils-about 20-30 drops in total. Citronella is a great choice for repelling mosquitoes, but you can mix and match based on your preferences.
Mix and Cool: Stir the essential oils into the mixture, add your fractionated coconut oil then pour it into a clean jar or container. Allow it to cool and solidify at room temperature. This can take a few hours, so be patient! I usually leave it overnight.
