I’ve never heard of ‘68. My mind is blown by this performance and the musicianship. Drummer is insanely good and makes this 3 piece kit sound massive. A 2 pc band done right! Record is on order.
Agreed!
THIS. This is the live recording of '68 the world needed.
In my hometown too 👍
“I coulda been anyone, I chose to be myself” is the most punk rock thing I’ve heard in a long time. Scogin is the man.
such a massive sound from a two piece band. so much talent
Check out royal blood if you like this! They’re a two piece and have similar tone
@@thedarkcosmos4633 also aiming for enrike
@@thedarkcosmos4633 Royal blood sucks lol comparing to these guys. No playbacks, no additional members, only giant pedalboard madness. True ton!
Holy shit this is 2 people lol I was only listening for a minute
Ya octave pedal in there
What a great way to be introduced to this band! I definitely need to see them live in person! The sound, performance, cameras! All excellent.
Lights, camera, action!
I was accidentally introduced to them live. Went to a show where they opened and never heard of them. Instant fan!
This is insanely well-recorded and well-shot, and it still doesn’t capture how heavy that guitar feels in person. I just saw them last night without knowing about them and it is an experience, everyone who loves this vid NEEDS to go see them live.
I saw them live with Sparta a few weeks ago in a much smaller venue, had never heard of them before. They fucking rock.
One of the many role models for my duo band. Their drip is unmatched, oozing nearly as much swagger as Royal Blood with twice the energy
The suits make them look like tools.. but respect for being a duo
@@hhaste smell weed
@@hhaste pretty sure looking like tools is part of the fun of jt
Damn yeah Royal Blood
Go see local h as well.
I've seen them a dozen times, and it gets better every time. Nikko absolutely fucking destroys. Love watching him drum.
Finally a '68 hate5six video 🙌
unbeatable combo
Saw them at furnace fest and they put on one of the most unique, dynamic performances I have ever seen. Legends
YES. legends captured by a legend. One of the best acts in the game today. Rock and roll is here to stay
I’m back for my daily viewing of this
SET TIMESTAMPS:
0:10 Bad Bite
4:25 Three Is A Crowd
8:14 Whether Terrified Or Unafraid
16:58 The Lesser of Two Upheavals
13:28 Intergalactic (Beastie Boys cover)
Thank you kindly!
@@PineappleStickers that’s a record!!
‘68 is the best new Noise Rock band in a long time
i feel like its too surgical to be considered noise tbh. They're very obviously heavily inspired by the tonal concepts used by acts like lightning bolt, but LB always sounds like they're primed to explode while they're playing. This is good, its just way more controlled.
People say this about WHORES too but I would put them in a different category as well. It’s too nuanced. Too tight.
@@motherfuckerlimited1019 lol at least 68' have audible vocals that drive the song structure
The music speaks for itself, I gotta commend the quality of this audio recording. You guys perform magic, it sounds SO GOOD
Just saw these guys open for The Fall of Troy and I’m instantly hooked, the craziest stage presence I’ve seen since watching Dillinger, but it’s only 2 GUYS, WHATTT?!
Edit: 9:30 is so dope.
Want a crazier stage presence? Look up live videos of the lead singer of '68's last project The Chariot. You will not be disappointed.
@@JP-1844 The bassist of the Chariot is fucking dangerous. LOL. Btw their guitarist is now playing in The Fever 333
Also, WRECKIT
@@massaj88 lol that he is. I had the luxury of seeing the chariot multiple times growing up. Their shows were the biggest adrenaline rush I've ever felt when a band took the stage.
Had never heard of this band (had heard of Norma Jean, but wasn't a huge fan). I am blown away, this is an amazing performance. That guitar tone!
I had to keep looking... is that really a 2 piece? Huge sound and energy! First I heard them, thanks for the amazing content!
These guys blew my tits off opening for ETID in Jax. It's hard to describe how a couple of guys, who look like missionaries, can have so much energy, but it's explosive.
I was at that show too. They were so much fun and ETID killed it as well. Hoping '68 comes back this way soon.
I was there too! That was possibly one of my favorite shows in my 25 years of going to concerts. So much great energy.
its always been a pleasure watching Josh performance, captured by the one and only Sunny!!
man this is fucking art
This is performance art just as much as it is music. . I’m blown away.
Josh Scogin did a wonderful job on The Chariot and now he has this amazing job with 68'. the closing of the show is great 🤌🏻🔥
The fact that the drummer can do that with that minimalist kit just proves it’s not about the gear. Such creative parts. Obviously it’s not in a vacuum…the guitar gives it context to make sense. But still great on its own.
dude!!!!!!! everyday i see who i always wanted you to film haha amazing man🔥🔥🔥🔥
Saw these guys at ArcTanGent a couple of days ago and they just blew me away. Thanks for sharing this so I can enjoy them live all over again!
I’m so glad to finally see them on the channel cuz they’re live performances are always improvised and they build upon their songs. Josh has an infectious energy that’s electric and Nikko is so loud and technical that it’s impossible to know who to look at on stage. The audio was impeccable too btw. Hope to see more of them on the channel as they are a national treasure.
I've been waiting for you to upload sets from this show. Can't wait for Circa Survive's set.
This is easily one of the most original pieces of musical expression and performance that I have seen in a very long time!
21:25 hitting the symbols while he’s taking them away 😂😂
Incredible ending to incredible performance, unreal
And introducing Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the skins!
One of the best live bands around mind blowing experience every time
Was so bummed i missed this set, I was standing outside in line watching the wind wreak havoc...stoked its up
Saw these guys open for The Devil Wears Prada back in 2018 and the performance was so sick lol
These guys were amazing when they played in Buffalo NY a couple months ago. Even their drumset tear down was an amazing performance!
AND ANOTHAAAA ONE!!!!!!!
KILLER FIND!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU HATE5SIX!!!!!!!!!!
Such an underrated band!!!
What a fucking powerhouse of a band.
i'm here for a '68 hate5six video.
My god I want to see this in a fucking movie theater. Unreal.
Love to see improv in my rock n' roll set. Josh being all about spontaneous creation is why he's probably my favorite person making heavy music.
WOW!!! Amazing job filming this👍👍👍👍
Thank you for this.
This video is going to age better than anything on UA-cam
“You’ll miss us..”
This is insanely wild 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
About time the singer helped the drummer load out
long live
this was so amazing! So punk and all the things. Big things ahead for 68'!
This is amazing. But seeing a '68 hate5six video makes me sad we'll never see a mewithoutYou hate5six video.
That's what we talking about, 68 ,,,
Good guy Josh Scogin making changeover easy for the stage hands by taking the drums off for them.
the vocal effects (delay and chorus) impress with their appropriateness and balance
All done by TC Helicon Voicelive 3, the greatest vocal pedal in the world that is already discontinued, but can be found on used markets. Also I hope you are not rusnya
@@obmal_pytan No, I`m not rusnya
The '68 on Hate5six?
G(L)ooooo on....
I still can't even begin to understand how they made their first album so perfect. Saw them with etid before they split and god damn, it was even better than this video
I fucking love this band.
I saw these guys open up for the bronx and Stone Sour. They won over almost the entire crowd in their short set.
that's a fuckin weird line up
Meg plays much better now
Saw them last night and they are incredible
How is this sound even possible?>!!
run bass through the guitar. Local H starting doing this a couple decades ago
Awesome shot at 9:30!
This band sounds like the white stripes if they had Greyson Nekrutman as the drummer.
Fantastic !
Love this band. This duo is so talented.
Just seen them tonight. THEY WERE SICK
The ending from 19:00 onwards is amazing
So badass!! Glad you called that.
I’m only recently getting into these guys but love it ! Anyone know the titles to the first three songs ?
might have a three-way tie between black cobra, lightning bolt, and 68 for coolest 2 piece
This band actually has 4 members. Josh, Nikko, Josh, and ......also Josh
Amazing! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So good!
I wish FF would of let him film full sets. 68 doing The City was just so fucking good
That BBoys breakdown.
james murphy going crazy
Every time I see them I always leave saying "that was the best damn show I've ever been to"
And I mean it. These two put on one hell of a gig!
Just the best ❤
8:17 this intro so sick!
Little history: The lead singer is the founding vocalists for Norma Jean and The Chariot.
No way
James Corden isn’t holding back
😂
This sounds like Dillinger Escape Plan minus three people. Shits 🔥
The one band that Jack White is desperately trying to silence
I've been saying this since I discovered this band in early 2021, lol! "Jack White wishes he could be Josh Scogin" ❤😎
REAL rock n roll right here
Thought it was a jazz band from the thumbnail. Not what I expected, still awesome tho
мощная крутота. этого исполнителя обожаю и слушаю его с детства. из россиии с любовью
Amazing band!
Fanfu**ing tastic!!! Love this band so much. Wish they would come on over to Germany!! Much love. Brilliant Performance. Lame audience
This video brought to you by octave fuzz pedals.
God’s work
it was great, even though it was the same set they played a couple weeks before when I seen them. I was still 5 people back, stage left because they are one of the best live bands in music.
Holy balls!
Yes!!!
Might have taken my new top spot for a while
What a fun energy
What a drummer 😳
12:38 gangster
0:09 "Life Sucks!"
this band is just fuckin cool man
They rock!
this fucking slaps
I wonder if 1-67 was taken…
What genre is this you ask? It’s just ROCK N FUCKING ROLL baby
Were have I seen just a drummer & Guitarist ?🤔
