thanks for the video. I am up north of Winston-Salem and about 2 weeks ago I had 2 hives with a small patch of brood on one frame and the other two completely broodless. Others around here are reporting about the same thing at the end of November. Gonna check a couple this weekend with that warm weather.
Good to see a update on what you have going on in the yard . I always use December 15th as my starting date to check colony’s for brood . Some years that is fairly close just depends on temperature. I most of the times I give two treatments so I go ahead and start on the 15th . The first or the second treatment will get the mites . Thanks
I had a friend from out of state visiting at Thanksgiving andnhe brought his instavap to try. I treated 13 of them basically to see if I wanted to buy the instavap. I got very few mites to drop except in one hive out of the 5 or so that had slide out trays. I'm feeling pretty good about my mite loads.

A possibility is that colonies that were getting fed Sugar water the queens kept laying longer than those that were not receiving anything.

Good info. I think OA is often used with brood present, leaving bees with mites.

Nope! Only when the hive is broodless, which is usually early January around here
