  • This week we got to test the GMC Terrian Denali in the snow. With its all wheel drive option this car made the winter no problem at all
    You can tell that GMC really had the winter in mind when making this car. You can take this car for a road trip anytime of the year and in any weather.
    At 46,000CAD its a pretty good price point however you can tell they had to cut some corners when it comes to the engine at 170hp when you press the gas pedal not much happens. The good news is that speed with this car doesn't matter because its meant to be more of a useful option than a speed demon one.
    The ride quality was up there with the 2022 Lincoln Aviator that we drove a couple of weeks ago and miles ahead of the Kona N that we also drove this year The Kona is a good reference as its top model is close to the price point of the GMC. I can definitely recommend you test drive this car if you get the chance!

    I have the at4 just wish it had cooling seats and heated rear seats for the price point. Otherwise it’s a great vehicle and the sunroof is amazing

    They should have NEVER gotten rid of the 2.0 engine. That was GMC's biggest mistake and they should have made it standard instead of the 1.5. Now if you want the 2.0 your only looking at 2020 and older models. Bring it back GMC...!!!

      Yeah the Power in this one was a little underwhelming

      they need to cancel their whole suv lineup

      @@mattnorman5241 No it's a great SUV very classy looking with a uncomplicated infotaintment system. However, they made a HUGE mistake with picking the 1.5 as a standard engine over the 2.0. They need too either up the HP & Torque on the 1.5 or bring back the 2.0 as a "paid option" for SLT & Denali trims. I figure if Nissan can take a gamble with the Rogue and put a 3cyl turbo and squeeze 200hp & 225lbs torque out of it. What's GMC's excuse for not keeping the 2.0...? They went from segment leaders with that 252hp & 260lbs torque. To currently WAY BELOW the segment. And by that i don't mean adding 5hp for 2023 models. It needs at least 190hp & 220lbs torque. That's not too much to ask for now is it...?

    I’ve ordered a ‘23 Denali, can’t wait to get it! What tires do you have on it right now? Not the stock Hankook Kinergy’s?

      Nice you are going to like it! I had winter tires on they were the Michelin X ice & snow SUV they did really well in the snow.

    Again a 2,0 litre turbo engine would ideally suit with 9 speed 🚄 auto ?

    • @tomtalker2000
      @tomtalker2000 Рік тому +1

      Yeah they had that in the 2020 and older models. And got rid of it starting in 2021 and up replacing it with the VERY subpar 1.5 liter. The 2.0 should have been STANDARD on this vehicle period. Bring it back GMC...!!!

    It might put the utility in suv but with that 1.5L T SGE variant and transverse FWD based platform, it certainly takes the sport out. And any savings in fuel economy from the undersized mill will be more than given back with the 2-3 grand it costs to fix the turbo every 40,000-50,000 miles. It is a nice looking vehicle, though, and I will give GM credit for good, roomy, and stylish interiors in their midsize SUV and crossover vehicles.

      Yeah I get what your saying the car really has no sport in it at all I really liked it for our winter climate. The all wheel drive really came in handy for me!

    Can anyone explain why SLT terrain fully loaded with 175hp sells for nearly $42k and RAV-4 XSE hybrid fully loaded with 202hp sells for $41k? Where is the logic? What is so special for GMC to carry this unjustified premium?

    • @technicallycars
      @technicallycars  2 роки тому

      Hard to tell with there only being a 1-2K difference could be an upcharge for material or a better sound system. It can be really anything. I would say that if there is a cheaper hybrid option available ill go for that. I'd love to see the GMC's come in hybrid.
