    Good videography. You know the equipment well, you know the operation well, and you know what is of interest. Lots of movement and angles to keep it informative and interesting. Thank you!

    Nice crop, Glad your getting good yields, I'm more used to seeing combines racing around shelling corn but like I heard your just breaking in the combine which is one my favorite brands. My brother owns a White tractor, Not sure of the model number, Drove it a couple of times.

    You said in your comments that they had a JD 4960 open station. I have NEVER seen such an animal. They must have built that for the sugar cane fields down south. I would like to see that tractor in an upcoming video.

    As always I'm thankful to you making these videos and letting us watch them. You seem to be very close up filming but maybe that's the drone really close to the ground? You inspire me to wanting to get out there myself and see some real life farming. I used to hang out close to the fields when I was a teenager but when I moved to Stockholm I lost contact with all that is going on in the real world. Thanks again for showing all this.

    This might be silly questions,, but are the DRIVER checking constant that the tips of the harvester head follow the rows?
    ORE does the TIPS have mounted feelers that give signals to the stearing
    ORE are they just using GPS? hehe
    corn isnt very much grown in norway, exept some sweetcorn south by the coast which is grown in greenhouses and is harvested by hand.
    the forage harvesters-grain harvester i have experience on dont care about rows. ORE CATS-DEER CALFS HIDING IN THE GRAS.
    its often a sickening feeling when you hear the THUMPS OF BONES HITTING THE CUTTER-TRAILER and have to leave the maskine-tactor to remove bones-meat,, and hope you dont find say BABY CLOTHES!
    Somtimes you see the cat-calf and can scare ore move it to the side... but if the gras-wheat-barley- is thick and it blows a little its hard to spot if the plants are say 2-3 feet high ore higher.

      This is our farm. We had just fixed the head and didn’t want to stress it to make sure we could get the whole field finished. You also have to remember 16 rows is a lot to run through a machine but we were running about 2.5-3mph which is just a little slower than normal. Like you said we normally run 4.5-5mph.

    They combined corn with a draper? I dont get it

    • @kcgibbs
      @kcgibbs 5 років тому

      You can do it but it is slow due to so much material going through the combine. It is used when the corn is down and you need the reel to feed the material.

    • @markoaragovic7645
      @markoaragovic7645 5 років тому

      @@kcgibbs so they leave corn settings but run a draper head?

    • @kcgibbs
      @kcgibbs 5 років тому +1

      Dux I have only seen it and talked to people about it. I would assume you would have to do some adjustments due to the increase in volume of crop material flowing through the machine. I think it would only be done to save some crop, not as a normal practice. It would be hard on the knives, the reel and really slow. I think the better option is a corn head reel or as Geringhoff calms them a Crop Sweeper to help with the down corn.

      You are either doing your math wrong or you are full of it.

    • @SoloTwo42
      @SoloTwo42 5 років тому +4

      Not a good start when you can't even spell your state right. The USDA's preliminary info says that the average yield in Texas this year is 105 so you might want to tell everyone else in Texas what they are doing wrong. Or just stick to farming simulator.

    • @kcgibbs
      @kcgibbs 5 років тому

      Shawn Conrad The World record is 542 bushels per acre. I am not sure, but I believe that was irrigated and had the nutrients poured on.
