in this video I filmed dozens of Pakistan Railways locomotives Resting in the shed while lockdown in the country,
most of them.are in service since 1980's and few are working from 2014 and lot of are loose brand new,
there were Hitachi Locomotive,s made by Japan.
there were ZCU locomotives made by China and Caterpillar USA.
there were General Electric GE locomotives made by USA.
and I also spotted a locomotive AGE30 aka Blue tiger made by adtranz Germany in 1996.
it was quite pleasurable filming for me as a Rail buff to watch so many locomotives standing dead together,
location of the shed is Rawalpindi locomotive shed.

@@SitesandSounds might b m wrong.. but i thnk rwp to lhr is up-gradient wid lower number of passengers thats y PR used only 2000hp instead of 3000+hp cz the main reason is low number of passengers as compared to ML route of Lhr to Khi & Fslbd to Khi which is PR main revenue Source.

As you watched I specially asked a relevant question to driver on what notches he is driver at up gradient.....he replied that he is at idling now because of up gradient and traction of train we were moving at almost 75kmh
But suddenly falt track came across followed by down gradient so he had to notched it up,
I don't think so passengers would vary by the gradient thing
There are enough trains for passengers between rwp to lhr

@Muhammad saleh vlogs true. But the idea still holds. The older things get the more care they require to operate meaning more money is required for maintenance. If the business isn’t willing to increase the expenditure to maintain the machine then accidents happen.

Last engine AGE 30 6008 India ke WDP4D jaisi hai for Pakistan Railways I guess. Kaas Dono deshon ki dosti aachi hoti to taraaki v sath hoti. PR ke tracks pe IR ke trains v guzra karte hum v Baluchistan ki sair Pakistan ki trains se karte. Uparwale se dua hai ki aage aisa zarur ho.

Bro.. If pakistan railway wants to expand their railway then they can buy good condition used engine and coaches at areally cheap price as indian railway is going through massive transformation.. Pakistan railway can really cash in with this deal..

AGE class locos shouldn't even be here at Rawalpinid loco shed due to track load restrictions, they cross jhelum mostly or only for Risalpur loco factory for maintenance and that too without any traction load, lone engine comes beyond jhelum, i wonder how one is parked at pindi loco shed.
It's been watched here at rwp shed since 3 months on my recent visit to shed,
Sir 8309's 83 series is from 1993/94. 1st unit 8301 was assembled in Risalpur factory

भारत पाकिस्तान के लोको में कोई अंतर नही है। GE का लोको दोनों तरफ चलता है। ALCO का भी दोनों तरफ इंजन है।
भारत से अगर पाकिस्तान इंजन ले तो काफी सस्ता और अच्छा इंजन मिल सकता है।
apki bat to bilkul theek hai. lakin apko maloom to hai Jo Pakistan aur India k between Jo crisis chal rahy mujhy nahi lgta k moodi es deal k liye agree ho ga.
Railway engine work shop ka tour with commentary mazeed achaa karnay ki kosish krain. Video bohat achi bnai hay. Weldone keep it up.. Tamam Engines ki full service honi chyi... This gives excellent example for those viewers who watching your videos out side this Country....

Recently india made WAG12 goods electric engine for dedicated freight corridor in madhepura bihar which has power of 12000 HP . PR should more focus on electrification of railways track .
Now Steel authority of india limited developed R260 rails those are capable to run trains on 200+ speeds on it. We both inherited same infrastructure of railways by british raj . Atleast we should cooperate each other on railways .

But one locomotive PHA20 (8300 series) is made in Pakistan at Risalpur Locomotive factory, with Alco Diesel engine

Bcoz IRCTC do the same IR export many coches to srilanka myanmar afganishtan iran and more.

Why Pakistan Railways discontinued Electric Engines. In India almost all routes have been electrified.
Due to shortage of electricity and faulty power lines
Aik locomotive ki cost kitni hy caterpillar ya usa ke

ASAK Nice video, one thing I want to correct PHA 20 was commissioned in 1995 in Benkzir Buhtto 2nd tenure as she inaugurated 1st roll out fro Risalpur factory,secondaly I travelled a lot between Rawalpindi , Lahore from 1995 to 1998 mostly train pulled by these locos. Any way I saw DPU 20 also can You tell some thing about them?

There are Alco+Hitachi (made in Japan) inaugurated in 1980,s
There are EMD,s inaugurated in mid 80,s
PR also has Adtranz+ GE locomotives working since 1996
We also has own Pakistan made versions of GE (CKD) and PHA (CKD) LOCOS
if we talk about new locomotives then
PR has (Caterpillar) ZCU locomotives (assembled in Cihina) 2014
And lastly PR imported new GE Evolution series locomotives from USA in 2017,2019

So recently they have come out with new model of Locomotives

Thanks for the upload. My prince and my love is HGMU30-R. Can you tell me the status of HGMU30-R 8224 that got badly damaged at Hyderabad accident. And last, PHA 20 came into service in 1993 and not 1982, HAU 20 and HBU 20 are in service since1982.

Unfortunately policymakers ignored Railways and highways and motorways been promoted
That's why less passengers are travelling by train and more use to travel by road because road facilities are outclassed (total 15 world class motorways been built in the country in last 25 Year's and few are in progress)
