I've driven these trucks along with canters for years in the drilling industry. Reliable and somewhat fuel efficient. Only thing worth mentioning is handbrake, brakes etc wear out quickly and are pain to adjust. So steady steady. Check the rubber bungs on brake drums are always in place. Bring couple spare. Dust ingress through the flex of the big doors (NPS) I'd definitely take one over 79 series for touring around country. Smart choice. Good rig mate
Thanks, like you I have driven a few of these yeh and canters, guiding across the top end! I tend to use exhaust brakes and gears as much as possible( and your advice is valid for sure. They are big on mine sites indeed. We went isuzu over iveco after a lot of research indeed. Ta
2:29 WHAT!....WHAT!.....WHAT!.....😱🤯💪👍🛠 GREAT RIG!.....They are building next level rigs. No wonder you had your incredible truck built by them. 🌞😉🤔👍 7:38 what about water crossing would that electrical short out?
It’s a good question haven’t had any drama yet, and some water up a metre. But I was thinking about this the other day. And yes the rigs are next level we have still more to do but we ran out of $$$$. We will get there slowly!
do you know if you can tweek or do stuff to the engine for more power and if you can enhance the motor can you tweek the transmission too. with your truck what gears are you running. eg. highway, hills or low pulling gears. is that an option offered from your builder.
Yes you can have these remapped for better response power output. About $1000. We haven’t done it but we will in the future. They are a bit sluggish but we in no hurry.
You can mod these in so many different ways , this is close to $200G. More to do to it. And I payed for every part of build. Others do bits themselves. But we love it.
@Adsventures I'm really happy for u.! In my part of the world, ciz of the collapse of our currency, this is the price of a 300 sqm apt in a good area in Cairo.! U have also vast areas in ur country to explore.! Enjoy to the maximum.! 😊
It all depends on the specs you want built into it and if you pay everyone to do it all . If you are a fabricator boiler maker sparky you can save a lot $$$$. Metal is expensive and tradies charge max prices. It all depends what you want to do with the truck.
