'Trying to get as much speed as we can out of the little 600' whilst doing 175mph. Another breed these guys.
I would like to see him ride a Ninja 300 around there , they would be Fun lol
Lol I thought they was riding litter bikes wow. Makes me love my 500r
Lol. I have a 750cc and I be shitting bricks hitting 70mph curves, I don't know how these guys do it. And to think, they didn't even have practice laps. Insane! Another breed these guys yes.

They are ~also~ riding litre bikes. That's the superbikes. This is Supersport, typically 600 cc bikes.
I never knew I could hold my breath for 18 mins straight.
Remember there are another 5 laps...
I’m a fighter pilot, I used to think I was special - these guys are a different species. Hats off to you my good sir
same history here, same sentiment. props to this special breed of warriors.
Are you really a fighter pilot?
How many fights have you been in as a pilot?
@GW... yup. bc once you are, you always will be. America was at peace when I served; no nation had the b***s to mess with The Rooster. lol
Out of the Air Force now flying commercial jets. 6000 hours logged on all types. What’s your point?
I think he's calling you out. lol
haha! 180+mph and "here's a chance for me to look down at the dash"
:))) isn't it crazy :)
best commentary of a lap ever.
I couldn't believe that he could commentary from the after life. Good lad.
Thank you so much for sharing i am now 60 but as a 20yr old i thought i rode as if i stole it but after watching you i think i rode as if i borrowed it from my mother-inlaw. Loved it sooo much stay safe and live a long exciting life. cheers from a old bloke.
i know the feelin bud any of these top tt riders put us all to shame i am riding over 25 years and still this is the only event i never miss every year its a different planet

“The wheels are starting to be worn and loose traction” proceeds to corner harder than I’ll ever be able to on my bike even with newly worn in tires fresh off the heater😂😂😂😂
Yeah that's absolutely wild. I mean I get you can easily run through a set of tires from a day at the track, but at these speeds you're testing the absolute limits of them!
Amazing skill and bravery, these riders do not get the recognition they deserve.
they do
Fuckin' a right!
Jesus, those shady sections had me mentally running off the road, turning wrong direction, running into a barrier, etc. Skill
i was thinking the same thing, so easy to miss what way the road turns
You and me both man!
I was thinking the same thing, I think most of these guys must turn enough practice laps to have the course memorized because making a judgement on what’s ahead based on what you can see in this video seems near impossible without prior knowledge.
I try to like your comment but the like u get before me is my fav no 69 so i don't press like button😁sorry
There is more chances the moon landing was real. All of this footage is doctored.
Ah yeah, come down the hill, touching 180 mph, quick check of the phone, no messages. Bollocks. So we press on to the next section....
Too funny....! :-)))

LMFAO! 👍🤣🙏🏻😎
This is the most enjoyable TT video I've watched as it gives you the rider's perspective and just the level of knowledge they have to carry will doing a lap (nevermind 4 or 6). I was tired watching one lap; I can't imagine actually doing it a full race.
Are these guys the most fearless sportsman in all of sport i would say by far!

This is beyond exciting!
Unbelievable skill, nerve and bravery, these guys are the ultimate heroes. If you think about the course being 37,73 miles long (almost 61 kms), 219 turns, the extreme speed, the intense concentration, the possibility that you can die at any part of the race. A friend of mine who has attended the TT several times, has told me that when you’re there, you can smell death!
Massive respect to all the TT competitors, the greatest race there will ever be, absolutely NOTHING comes close!
hell yeah agreed...….
Have you ever watched the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, probably faster and more dangerous
@@themajortom69
It really isn't
Furious Boogie the ulster Grand Prix , north west 200 are also fast and dangerous making them the same. What sets the IOM TT apart is the length of the circuit, I’m not a 100% sure but I think it is the longest lap of all road race circuits. One thing I will say is Irish road racing is probably the most dangerous of all the road racing with one exception and I can’t think of the name of the race. It’s held in Indonesia, Manx GP is what my minds eye is seeing but not positive
Ever heard of moto gp?
My Father rode here pre war as an amateur, then he did something a lot safer, he went to war. He also banned me from getting a motorbike when I was older.
My grandfather was actually posted to the Isle of Man during the war - as punishment for marching a squad of Poles (or maybe Czech) through his CO’s flower garden!
As a young Aussie who used to build his own race bikes back home it was the one place in the world he wanted to go!
He ended up being mates with the postman who would lend him his Rudge special to tear around the track.
That's a brilliant comment 👏
Thats such a good story 😂🏍️👍
Haha realy nice said my friend. Everything i can think off is a lot saver.EVEN WAR INDEED. Lol. Greets from the NETHERLANDS
To me there is nothing like this, I mean all racing is dangerous. But this is just a whole different level. Amazing

Applepieisftw it makes complete sense, the bike travels with your eyes. He was probably watching the video expecting to go one way and the rider went a different way. In that sense, if he was riding he would have crashed.

Having played Ride on the Edge 2 it was satisfying to see on video EVERY hedge, curb, signpost, building, spectator, tree, kink and corner faithfully recreated in real life.
All joking aside the guys and girls who actually put their life on the line to conquer this unforgiving 37.7 mile ribbon of tarmac battling against the clock while performing both physical and mental feats of human endurance to become eventual TT winners are legends in their own right.
No small number of have fallen victim to the track's savagery but their names and memory live on becoming just as legendary as the track itself. May they rest in peace.
Thank you Cameron Donald, I've been looking for a lap breakdown like this for a while
The backmarker at 5:30 then pulled off the track & decided to open a knitting wool shop. And he's still 1000 times braver than me.
Without Doubt one of the best videos on utube...I just can't get my head around the insane speed this guy is maintaining...A few times he's virtually millimeters away from the kerb, but still giving it everything the bike has got...A few sections are overshadowed by trees blocking out the sunlight yet he's still at warp speed....This guy is from another planet..!!!.. Incredibly talented rider beyond belief...180 mph ++ on a 600cc!!!!!
For a non bike rider like myself, that was both enthralling and terrifying! I loved it!
8:36 "werk'n the bike left to right"
16:10 'down to the pub' 🤣
"Absolutely singing" is an understatement. That engine barely dropped below 12000 RPM for a solid 17 minutes...
I loved it.... especially this quote... There's a few Aussie flags up here on the left as we wind down to the pub... great video !
I can't believe I'm actually going to be here in 3 weeks, so amped for this...filling a big part of my bucket list.
To all of the riders, I don't know how you do it but im thankful you do... mad respect to you all.
I grew up loving the TT and still very much do. Honestly it’s as mesmerizing to watch (especially on boards) as it is terrifying. I don’t think you can quantify the bravery (or maybe insanity) of a rider when a run that’s 99% perfect can quite likely end in your being dead. Any any any little thing can happen, and it’s so quick that by the time it’s registered in your mind - you’re well past it.
Bravo, guys. Much much respect. 👍🏼👏🏼
Cam such a gentleman wish him all the best in the future
What an amazing video, respect for the skill & bollocks to attack this ROAD course.hats of to this man
I was there 3 weeks ago for the Classic TT and the ManxPG, first time over and this video was so awesome to be able to pick out the spots I watched from. The farmer's wife at Gorse Lea makes world-famous lemon cake and vegi soup - costs nothing to watch from their wall. The bungalow on the Mountain, Ballacraine, Goose Neck - I had a blast! If you get the chance... GO.
I made a sandwich to eat whilst watching this as I have done many times before. Nothing changed, I still had the sandwich in my hand uneaten at the end. Now I am even hungrier. You blokes are unreal. Bravo from Victoria Australia
180 mp/h quick check on the dash if everything is okay, looking at the helicopter as well, maybe eat a sandwich just in case
Oh, hey, Hi Mom! And look that restaurant that I just passed has a special on chips. Now, let's just down-shift to hit this corner at 100 mph, and now there are some trees...
This is one of the best laps on a bike with a camera of the TT shows just how big these guys balls are.. Amazing stuff..
Has anyone ever mentioned just how BEAUTIFUL the scenery is in this race? Just watching this id love to just go there, to the isle, in a car and just around the track to see it. Its such a gorgeous scene. Beautiful. Green everywhere, old historic buildings on the sidelines, those awesome stone walls they built. Beautiful scenery for the deadliest race ever conceived. I love it.
A few years back when i saw a full lap onboard camera shot like this...it just blew my mind. These guys that do the TT have balls the size of coconuts. My vision is blurred just watching it, i can only imagine what their vision must be like at times going at those speeds over bumps n stuff. Love these vids but these guys are on such another level, l,m just walking along with my knuckles dragging in the dirt as usual, but to say these individuals are unbelievable, brave beyond belief and outstanding would not come close to describing them, absolute and total respect.

Absolutely wonderful footage and documentation. Thank you for allowing me to see what I could never do. You absolutely rock.
8:15 "that much speed the wind is pulling the brake lever setting the sensor" 😲
Actually I would bet quite alot that it's not the wind touching the lever, it's the lever's slightly miscalibrated data indicator point + the pressure sensor is reacting to the bumps the bike is constantly hitting. Happened to me alot when I was setting up my throttle position sensor... it kept saying I'm on 98% throttle even if I pulled the throttle all the way + it showed 1% on when I was sitting still in the pits. It's just a 1% adjustment mishap that causes the indicator to hop. Why do I say this: Well because if you have even 1% of brake pressure enabled, you will not reach anywhere near 180mph on a 600, it's just too much resistance for that speed.
@@sfprivateer Rubbish. These 600 super sports machines are tuned to the nth degree and as Cameron said, are capable of 185 mph. The telemetry is GPS based. He said, it is the pressure of the wind causing the slight brake indication. The brake indicator was flashing on smooth sections as well so your theory about bumps is invalid. In many parts of the circuit the bike was reaching over 180 mph so the front brake wasn't being applied by a mal adjusted sensor.
@@droceretik OK... I will try to keep this as polite as possible. First of all, I race Superbike myself, so I know what a stock 600 can do, what a hightuned 600 can do. I know what a stock 1000 can do and what a high tuned Superbike can do.
Secondly, Cameron's brake sensor is flickering even at 100mph (160kph). Now search UA-cam for "peetu paavilainen KymiRing". You will see brake telemetry from his Yamaha R6R which hits 260kph (160mph) at the end of the straight... Yet his brake indicator never even flinched during the whole straight.
So my statement stands, his brake pressure sensor is slightly miscalibrated so it shows 1% pressure when in reality it's still 0%.
And finally : The speed data is not GPS, you can clearly see it, when the speedo increases dramatically when he leans into the corner, and the speed reduces when the bike straightens up again. GPS speedo does not do that, Cameron's speed data comes from the wheel speed. The throttle data input comes from TPS (throttle position sensor) which is in every engine. The brake data comes from a brake pressure sensor located next to the brake master cylinder.
So please, get your facts straight before you come to the comments with your internet wisdom to call people rubbish who actually know what they're talking about.
Thank you.
@@sfprivateer Ok, so I can see you do know what your talking about and that you just couldn't reframe from giving your 2 cents on the matter, which I understand.
I have had a couple of 600s, even my old CBR600 96 was capable of 175mph with stock gearing, highly tuned carbs, full exhaust, blah blah blah. On public roads..it may take a little longer to get there but it will.

To me this track is like the nurburg ring/bathurst of the two wheeled world. Its not just a circuit, its a road that comes complete with all the things you associate with any normal suburban street. About a million little variables and changes in the contours of the road. With any racing video all I'm interested in is at least one full lap first person view, anyone who races or has a passion for driving will understand the importance. Thanks for the commentary and telemetry , Its a track I will probably never get to at any point in my life so I want to try live a lap as close as possible complete with all the technical details.

Absolutely amazing! Superb commentary as well 👌
Outstanding Cameron. You have nerves of something a lot harder than steel.
Never ceases to amaze. Great commentary by Donald. Question: The challenge of the course is evident but have any of these riders described sections of the course as just plain 'fun'?
Yes. John Mcguinness and a few other riders have commented about the series of bends after Cronk Y Voddy straight and before Handley's (the RH bend with a high stone wall) as great and exhilarating. Look at Milky Quayle's on-board lap with detailed description. He makes lots of references to parts of the course that are fantastic and very satisfying to get right. Joey Dunlop commentating on the V4 Victory video (1983), said that he rides (very fast) from one section of the course he likes to another section he likes. A lot of riders describe the long fast left after Hillbury as being like a roller coaster and Shawn Harris on 2003? on-board video remarked that he was "smiling under his helmet" when riding this section.
Conversely, nearly all riders recognise some sections as difficult and dangerous. Almost universal among riders is the dislike of Ballagarey or as most riders call it now, Ballascarey . Most of the riders say that racing the course is a mixture of exhilaration and fear and is very satisfying to get right and a huge buzz. They are all addicted to racing the Isle of Man and are literally adrenaline junkies. The nearest most people would get to this experience would be riding a massive roller coaster, bungee jumping and skydiving.
This is sparta!!!
this helps out so much with the iom game. especially the commentary. enjoyed it
