Thanks for the video, I am considering this rod for a very small stillwater and was wondering what classic snowbee reel you would couple this with. Is it important to have a 4/5 reel or would a 5/6 classic 2 reel be ok with a 5 F weight forward line? The Snowbee classic combo kit has the same size rod 8foot 6, but says its weighted to #5 and was wondering if it was the same rod as the one you tested?
Hi Andy! I coupled it with the Snowbee Spectre 3/4 reel, but I have an Orvis 5-weight reel that I tried with this rod and the balance was just fine. I'd say you would be totally okay pairing it with the 5/6 classic 2!
Would absolutely never do business with snowbee again. They recommended me a glove size, which was too small, and then stopped responding to my emails for a return. I tried multiple times to get in contact. What a miserly company
