Before the matches in this video about 1 hour was spent to get out of the triple digit ranks.

I am sad to say that after seeing how good it is, I became the cancer.
I love the detail Jens puts into these videos, like when Trump checks his hero levels the hunter is replaced with "scum." My favorite moment was in one video where the artwork for Trump's weapon was replaced with Annoy-o-Tron during a turn. Clever touches like that make this channel so enjoyable to watch, there's just so much value to this content.

There is thought into the face hitting, Trump is playing as the deck intends, an aggressive deck such as this hunter mostly hits face and only trades when it is best to do so, you can see in many parts of the video Trump debates whether to trade a minion or go face. If this deck were to try to trade regularly it will lose, it's not meant to do that. It maintains a board presence and keeps the pressure on the opponent.
However that doesn't mean it isn't slightly scummy :P.

+Zyx Whitewind Late response to your comment but it's from the tutorial, there's a card that Hemet uses called "Crazed Hunter", I guess Blizzard just recycled the minion and gave it different stats and a battlecry.

I have a theory as to why hunter is actually so OP and always has been. First of all this is just a theory; secondly I also didn't play hearthstone from the very beginning, nor have I played for a couple of months. But I think it's their hero power. Now before you all scream at me and tell me I'm mad, think about it, truly think about it. You always start to sweat a bit once you get to about 10 health and they're still slapping minions on the board.
Say for example all you could use were hero powers, hunter beats them all except paladin and stalemates with priest and warrior, whilst I accept that's a third of the classes, start thinking about it in a normal game. Paladin's little guys are going to be trading into bigger stuff, priest is going to be trying to heal his other minions and warrior not always going to be armoring up.
Which sort of leads me on to my next thought. If my theory is correct and the source of the hunters OPness is their hero ability then I predict that if hunters became extremely popular again, the best counter to the hunter would be a warrior deck which can keep the early game under control and hit the armor up button fairly regularly. That may literally just be control warrior which may have already been proved to be shite against hunter, but remember this is a theory from a guy who doesn't play that much hearthstone, so this may all be total bollocks, but thank you for your time.

i think the hunter hero power should be changed to give your hero +2 attack this turn so that if the have taunt the hunter would have to attack the taunt it might bring a more control hunter meta
Yap, its the hero power that makes him the ultimate rusher.They just have to bring you low fast, then its usually over just by using the power.
You actually hit the nail right on the nose. They want to rush and get you down ASAP because of the hero power, they just need to get you low enough to finish you with it.
Pally not really. If the Hunter has the sniper minion he can use his Hero power on minions too.
If even Trump plays Aggro Shaman and Hunter, is the control archetype officially dead?

There is always anti-aggro decks that plays well, but makes for long games, and aren't to the taste of many people that wants to rush rush rush rush face face face.
Trump is nothing close to those rush fans, which is why him giving up on control makes me worried.

Blizz just nerfed the strongest aggro card in the game, and even before the undertaker nerf we still had a decent number of control decks represented in the top ranks. If at any point there IS a real balance issue, blizz will patch it, so just play whatever you enjoy most and have fun. If you like playing control, play control. If you like aggro, play aggro. You can do fine with either

StrykerTen When Trump plays aggro decks, it's usually for "science" and "understanding his enemy" or for funzies like it was with murlocs. Can you recall him seriously laddering as aggro before?
Judging by how slowly Blizzard nerfed Undertaker, we shouldn't really expect any balance changes in months. They still need to sell more GvG packs.

Hunter isn't my favorite class; its only one of my top two most played classes for one...well actually two reasons: It *consistently* wins, and when it does win it doesn't take half an hour to kill people (meaning it's always aggressive). If either of those two things change, then it'll be my least favorite and least played class...right down there with the rogue.

Sometimes I get frustrated at this game. I usually end up realizing I'm taking it way to serious, especially after watching people play a hunter deck. Play thing on curve, hit face, or trade when you know ignoring a minion would create a problem on future turns. Most of the time, you just top deck and laugh as your opponents scrambles to think of a possible solution before the rope runs out. After your opponent finally gets through your traps in the most efficient and least damaging way possible with the board and hand state seemingly in his favor, you top deck your kill command, play an owl and emote "Sorry." There are definitely games to get mad at when you lose, but HS is definitely not worth the anger.
I refreshed Trumps site a lot, so I can watch this vid asap, when it comes online. The trailer was really funny. :)

I was playing with my paladin and almost every game I encountered hunters or mages, so I taught maybe I could use Kezan mystic against the secrets. I putted the card in my deck but when I started playing not a single hunter or mage came by. I played 30+ games and not one so I got the card out of my deck. But when I did that they suddenly all came back.
Maybe Trump has a deck that's super strong vs hunter so he wants to fill the meta with all the copycats, then crushes them with his counter deck.
Then he plays the counter to his counter deck then he counters that counter.

This Deck got me from Rank13 back to Rank9 to this point, and no end in sight. Seems pretty solid.
Oh, and I love the easter-egg with the Classname of the Hunter being chaneged on the page, where Trump checked his level.

This is one deck I can afford, and just played from rank 18 to rank 13 undefeated (3 levels higher than I usually venture). However the man who quoted Nietzsche is correct, I have become the Hearthstone equivalent of an Audi driver. I can feel my soul breaking but it feels so GOOD!
Rank 11 now and not a single opponent has said "Well Played" back at me, I still say "Thanks" just before the Victory pop-up, I know they're all thinking it... just too busy drying their eyes to type.

The good news is that Hunter is just really good now, and doesnt have any broken cards in it. I could argue Highmane is a little too good but overall the class is fine. It just has really good cards, whereas the other classes do not quite yet. I feel that the next expansion will help smooth things out.
I like it how Trump actually thinks when he plays this deck. Most hunters I see running this deck just spam everything on board and go face while constantly saying "My apologies" or "Well played"

I run a similar Hunter deck. Though, the biggest difference is I run Snake Traps instead of Freezing Traps, for more Juggler/Hyena synergy. And I run Volcanic Drake for value.
My suggestion since I am running a variation last 2 days is, since you are using 2 unleash the hounds and jugglers, put 1 timber wolf too, works wonders.

I played facehunter only until I had the cards to make a good midrange deck, i am here to express my love for the hunter class, its awesome and the only reason I play the game. I still cant seem to get past rank 8 though.

I can't believe it took 31 minutes to see hunter's mark drawn when there were, what, 4 or 5 games? Not that he ever needed it, but just weird to see the card not drawn for so long (unless I missed it somewhere earlier?)

Sea giant synergies great with hounds and creepers, idk y I'm the only Hunter running them. So awesome dropping hounds and 2 giants on turn 5 w coin lol, happened several times, got a few rage quits

Why use sludge belchers in aggro?
Surely more aggressive cards would make sense. If you need to counter other aggro decks you can run explosive trap
I mean, its a midrange deck. With sludge belcher its most likely there for that unfair advantage against aggro decks. Also Sludge Belcher is just to good to pass up.
It may not be aggro but hunters have always used sludge belcher as it can lockdown your board control pretty easy which is vital while playing as hunter.
It allows you to keep hitting face with your low health minions while he has to hit the belcher you hit his face
Sludge Belcher slows the opponent down and allows you to protect your smaller minions that would otherwise die to efficient trades. It's one of the best five-drops in the game.
Because this isn't aggro.

Is hunter still insanely imba? And are there a lot more cards now? Quit Hearthstone 1-2 years ago, wasn't enough cards for my taste.

Scar Heart By now I have gotten a ways in rank with most deck types. My favorite right now is Cthun/Nzoth Druid. It is a fun deck that has a good win rate.

Replacing one of the cards in this deck with Feign of Death might be a good idea....if you count Dr. Boom's bombs then you have 14 minions with deathrattle in the deck.
