Elon sounds a bit ignorant and misleading here. Like joe said, regenerative farming can help to sequester carbon and is much less stressful on the environment since the animals are grazing on natural grasses, bugs, worms etc. but the vast majority of humans cannot afford regenerative grown meats and depend on factory farming, which is completely dependent on proving feed in the form of corn and soy, which requires fossil fuels to transport the feed as well as large swaths of agricultural land dedicated to corn and soy mono crops which are heavily sprayed with pesticides, killing every living thing in the soil and during heavy rains washes off into nearby rivers which harms fish and other living parts of the aquatic ecosystem. So writing something off as irrelevant is misleading to people who may be open to using individual dietary practices to contribute to a healthier ecosystem

Your liver produces all the cholesterol your body needs but with some people the additional cholesterol via animal products increases the bad cholesterol to unhealthy levels that's why people avoid eating too much meat/dairy/animal products. It's not about global warming for many it's about what they need to do to keep their bad cholesterol down.
Dietary intake of cholesterol has very little effect on your cholesterol numbers. Most of it is from your genetics. If your dr says your cholesterol is high force him to give you a script for a calcium score test. It’ll be the best $100 you ever spend. It measures the amount of calcified cholesterol on your artery walls. My wife and I both got it and they were 0. My dr STILL tried to force statins on me. I told her I could give a shit less what my cholesterol reading is because it’s not sticking to my arteries. I eat grass fed beef, bison, some venison, pasture raised eggs, and grass fed butter when I rarely use butter.
@@darrellgrant7615 Yes, scientific research has shown that certain animal products, particularly those high in saturated fat, can increase levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, commonly referred to as "bad" cholesterol. Here’s how it works: 1. Saturated Fats: Meat (especially red meat like beef, pork, and lamb) and full-fat dairy products (like butter, cheese, and cream) contain high levels of saturated fats. These fats can raise LDL cholesterol in the blood, which is linked to an increased risk of heart disease and stroke. 2. Trans Fats: Some processed animal products also contain trans fats, which are even more harmful than saturated fats. Trans fats not only increase LDL cholesterol but also decrease HDL (high-density lipoprotein) or "good" cholesterol. 3. Cholesterol in Food: Foods like egg yolks, liver, and other organ meats are high in dietary cholesterol. While dietary cholesterol may have a smaller effect on blood cholesterol than saturated and trans fats for most people, it can still contribute to elevated LDL levels, especially in individuals who are more sensitive to dietary cholesterol. Studies consistently show that replacing animal fats with healthier fat sources, like those from fish, nuts, seeds, and plant oils, can lower LDL cholesterol and improve heart health. Reducing intake of high-saturated fat foods like red meats and full-fat dairy is a common recommendation to lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases.

Cows are herbivores so they have several stomachs with high acidity and lengthy intestinal tracts, allowing them to fully process the plant fibers and phytotoxins (poisons) that plants use for defense. So, the best way to eat plants is AFTER they are processed by cows, et al. 1,000,000+ years of evolutionary adaptation cannot be undone by only 12,000 years of good intentions.
it's hard for people to grasp what a short amount of time 12,000 years is in the grand scheme of things bc we live for such a small fraction of that.
@ indeed, a mere “blink” in the sprawling hominid story.
Musk looks like biscuit dough.
Your body simply produces less cholesterol, If you eat more. Except for very few people.
Not true
Here’s how it works:
@@darrellgrant7615 my dad had a heart attack in his early 40s. he smoked a lot. I've never smoke a cig in my life. At 40 I mentioned this to my doctor- he had me take this test and I also got a 0. I eats tons of meat and eggs.
clueless.
Me eat to animals. Me like Jo and ellon
🤣😂🤣 you have absolutely NO idea what’s happening to cattle these days???
A human is a omnívore so it is BS to be a vegetarian.
@ and that is exactly the arrogance of human beings.
Nature or god or whatever you believe has created us in a way and the arrogant humans think they know better!
Our entire body from teeth to stomach and digestive system is made to eat meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.
But everyone is free to do what he or she believes.
But thinking that you are smarter than our creator or our creation to me doesn’t make sense.
Humans cannot survive by only eating vegetables.
Humans can survive by only eating meat.
We need protein in order to survive.
I can’t afford steak. Must be nice to be healthy.
