I carry a light and a knife always, so this is right up my alley. My Thrunite 2AA V3 light has survived several accidental washing and dryer sessions and works perfectly. I've been EDCing this light for 2 years now and use it daily.
Thank you for the test, because it is like yours knife testing - full and interesting! I do like rovyvon flashlights and I bougt two small one some time ago - bouth are working but bouth are not OK, plastic elements cracs and now it is working but waterproof of anykind is 0 - so I do like them but do not buy any
Good stuff as always brother👊🏻 I’m always highly suspect of waterproof claims of both watches and flashlights. Although I won’t be diving or swimming with either, it’s good to see some objective testing.

Hello, no programming vid since if anyone isn't smart enough to figure it out by reading, then they're not smart enough to own one, IMHO!!!😊 Good vid! Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊
I am very happy that you tested its IPX rating. Nobody tests that but all flashlight makers provide some sort of waterproof rating. You know me, I like knives stain proof and gadgets stain resistant. Also currently edc a rovyvon A8 aurora. I like it and my camping light is a LEDlenser. LEDlenser is coming out with a new P9R core LEP. It looks amazing, 1300 Meter throw light using new tech and with all LEDlenser products adjustable lens for a flood option. Check it out and let me know what you think please?
IPX5, 6 and 7 are much harder to achieve and maintain throughout the production run than most people realize. We require our suppliers to test 5 out of a batch of 150 or less and 20 out of a batch of more than 150. But never less than 20 out of 1000-units batch. Snake oil on Amazon? What else is new?
I would check the rules on what batteries you’re allowed to bring with you on flights. Some rechargeable batteries are banned on planes, just don’t remember what ones are banned
@@macdud85 Good point. And also, I would not carry-on anything lager than the keychain light flying abroad. Euro security has much stricter rules. Lost an aluminum body pen in Vienna, Austria that way because it had a glass breaker on the end. Plus got searched head to toe in the process.
@@dongkhamet1351 Usually, I carry on flying out and go knife shopping at the destination, then check the bag on the flight back with the knives or mail them to myself. It’s hard for me to not have something in that pocket even for 10 minutes.
@CuttingBoardRx I have a little TSA friendly EDC idea you just might find of interest. So I will tag you in the description of my next video update on the project - if that's alright(?)
@CuttingBoardRx by the way I recommend you try the following manner of karambit carry: The sheath will be located just left of your belt buckle, disposing the handle at about 45° pointing right; with the blade facing up. The swift deployment from this location and orientation seagues most naturally into an uppercut strike. I believe that this deployment is a hair quicker than from appendix and in a face to face scenario provides a quicker route to target. Neither am I a martial arts instructor ;D
@CuttingBoardRx Same for me. Don't like empty pocket. That's a great plan. I fly seldom enough that I can afford to do the same. Gives me a nice (knife) souvenir of my trip !
Well, what did you think? Let it rip!
I love Flashlight videos!

I've been accidently testing the water proofing on my flashlights for years in the washing machine.
I test headphones, car keys and even dollar bills that way all the time!
That’s how I clean all of my gear as well
We can start an EDC washer/dryer club!

BTW, liked your flashlight review. Yours was different than other light reviews. But I expected nothing less.

Hi! If you'll pardon my curiosity; when you fly, do you usually bring check in luggage, or just carry-on?
