I know I will never get one, but the first time I saw one I was like imagine if you painted the insides rather then the outsides. like spray the shell with an ink or metallic paint. Then you could still do the outside too.
@@Enchanterium Lots of Jellyfish are orange, so that may help with the bright colored orange spine structure! (why would they make it orange?!!)

That wig!!! 😍😍😍 And if anyone is curious: the four petal flower shape on a moon jelly is made up of their stomach on top and their gonads (for making baby jellies) underneath.

Stuffing the body with the iridescent plastic was a stroke of genius! It looks stunning and gave her clear skin some life and color while still maintaining the sheer, ethereal look

A note on painting fabric. I use a fabric painting medium, which works very well. You mix the paint into it, and it prevents stiffness and cracking once the paint dries. I personally have only used the Martha Stewart brand thus far, but there are many options out there.
Doesn't adding fabric softener also work?

This is my first time seeing a clear smart doll. THEY ARE SO COOL LOOKING! She reminds me of those "Create a Monster" dolls from the Monster High Franchise. The iridescent theme was a good call and so was the think curly hair. Love her! 🥰🥰

I love how you leave in the mistakes and frustrations! I love any art-creation videos on UA-cam but I really appreciate it when the creator doesn't try to make everything look "perfect." I also love the simple body suit way more than the fluffy organza ones that didn't work out. :)
She's so beautiful! The dress making process reminded me of Princess Jellyfish if you've ever seen that anime, they make a dress based on a jellyfish as well. Using a transparent doll for this is such a cool idea. Great job as always!
She's equally cool and creepy and I love to see all the trial and error involved in creating a masterpiece. The bubble wig could suit any alien, maybe some more old fashion style like in Star Trek?
She's pretty cute! I really like the colors. Smartdoll aren't very easy to get and are super expensive though, I feel if you wanted to do other strange colors or even another clear doll branching out into resin dolls would be worth considering. A clear ResinSoul BJD would be much cheaper and easier to get, for example.

It's very interesting to see a clear doll, I think if I had one, I would cover her in sparkles and glitter, or maybe some glow in the dark paint, or what about a glow in the dark wig?

Faceups and wig making is always great, but i have such a huge soft spot for making the custom molds and body modifications. its so interesting! like really pushing what doll customizing can do and be
For an alien doll, I think it might be cool to see you guys go into sculpting onto one of the blank heads. Like do some sort of interesting brow ridges, or lip mods that add some fishlike flaps. Probably be a good excuse to break out scale patterns again as well.
This doll is so, so gorgeous 😍 I love both wigs, but I agree that the blue green ones suits her better. The other one reminds me of Coachella/music concert hairstyles, maybe someone going to an outer space rave?

This was different and unique! Awesome concept! As for an idea for your unused wig with the space buns, I would probably use another clear doll, IF you're able to get your hands on another one. I don't know much about the smart doll styles or colors, but if they have colored transparent ones, maybe a lilac if it's available? Something for the wig to compliment for sure! Or you could do another regular clear one and fill it with pink and blue iridescent pieces. You could even do holographic pieces with fairy lights (if they don't over heat). I think the possibilities could be endless for that wig!

How cool, a clear doll. Haha family vloggers do plaster casts on their baby bumps but doll creators plaster cast their dolls. It's a good idea to get a dress form though. Imagine how much money doll makers would make if they made and sold dress forms as well. The face is stunning and that dress with tentacles is so beautiful!

The jellyfish you showed is called a moon jelly. The flower on top is its stomach, while the webbing you see around it acts like it's brain :) hope this helped or just weirded you out more hahaha
The flower pattern on the moon jelly isn’t it’s stomach. It’s their gonads. Both male and females have the pattern, but the females are generally larger “flowers” because of her eggs. So the moon jelly in the example is a female. Also, fun fact, jellyfish aren’t fish at all! Fish are vertebrates and jellies are invertebrates. Jellies are related to coral, sea anemones and sea pens! They all have stinging cells.

With the space buns you could do a mash up of a lolita steam punk. It would be like a sweet version of steam punk. All the gears and metal but silver, pink and blue instead of rusty!
The wig with the clear spheres gives me like, urban fantasy witch/seer vibes, with sparkly and astrological details.
I love the wig and Definitely want to see a character designed for it.
Preferably the now old "futureistic" looks, like in Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century.

generally we do not tie our ribbons so high up, we only do 1 cross on each side.
the platform is not very thick, less than a cm (this doesnt include padding)

The wig reminds me of the Ramune marble soda! It would've been so cool to fill up a clear body with a colored liquid to emulate soda. And a fitted outfit to resemble a label sleeve. Chunky clear hollow platforms with more liquid or glass beads (to look like bubbles) in the platform! Very decora inspired

For some reason I can picture the blue wig with the bubbles fitting some sort of elegant yet playful and curious octopus mermaid
The hair looks like it will best suit something in the fantasy category too in my opinion, the material that you guys used for the space buns look like orbs to me. I think a aquatic alien would be amazing, with a galaxy aura deep sea look. When I look at the wig it reminds me of the game I play ark survival and its one of the maps it's genesis 2. That wig reminded me of some of there ocean space aliens themes creatures. They are sooo stunning and beautifully designed and the mix of colors...just breathe taking...
For the bubble wig you should combine the alien/sea creature theme and make a aquatic alien! I think it would be really neat and fun to work with. That or maybe something involving candy? Like the clear colorful ones like jolly ranchers and such

You could always make a tech geek doll and use the wig cap you made to substitute for her headphones. I also think if/when you get another clear smart doll, you could design a snow and ice goddess doll, using the clear doll as the idea that she was made of ice and that snow and ice are her powers.

for the blue wig with the bubbles i love to see a magical girl but shes a moth! and like she can have a cute bubble aesthetic thats soft but has darker colors..kinda halloween like but i love to see that
White hair with some of the green/blue or even glow in the dark hair as ‘highlights’ would’ve been cool, it would emulate the bioluminescence that a lot of jellyfish have ☺️
I'm suggesting that if you two ladies can get your hands on another Clear / Translucent doll, you should try to make Cortana from the Halo Series.
If you ever do another one, maybe a wind spirit. For that matter you could do all the elements. The ballerina is the water element ♥️ she turned out beautiful.
The wig you didn't use could fit a harajuku fashion theme! She could even still be an alien or something futuristic.
I'd love to get my hands on a smart doll someday, and embed one of those Raspberry Pi computers into it. But with how expensive they are, these dolls may as well already have some sort of computing device built into them.

Hi! Saw the dolls, normally i loathe dolls but i can see how much care & work that you put into each article of the doll’s outfit & i can’t help but admire the dolls & i also like how they’re like dolls for adults lol. I love knitting miniature shawls & stuff & would love to knit a shawl or something & give it to you. I do two color brioche in floral designs & i have tons of lace weight yarns because i normally knit two color brioche with lace yarns lol.
With clear dolls, you could make some amazing ghost/spiritual designs :)
Pointe shoes do have a sole! It's just a soft leather one. This doll came out beautifully. I'm in love with the wig!

She's beautiful! The iridescent material in the doll was a great idea and it really mimicked the bioluminescence of the moon jellyfish you used for inspiration on the corset! I also love the subtle little freckles you gave her! To me, the tiny, subtle details make all the difference and you did an amazing job with her!

omg i love her! This might be my new fav of your dolls. The hair colors the faceup and the fluffy tutu, are just so fabulous! The dress form you made turned out amazing. A lot of the doll channels that have started doing smart dolls I lost interest in because they do them so modern/realistic. I love that you still do fantasy, sci fi, and supernatural themes even with smart dolls.

Those pointe shoes would be atrocious to use, but they are very cool! They definitely look like pointe shoes. I also like that you went with a traditional leotard for the torso since those are used to really accentuate the beautiful lines of a ballerina and are way more functional than any tulle.
PS I liked the lavender hair a lot, it kept a nice pastel pallette.
