... Reminds me of Garden Warfare. If tf2 is played in 3rd person pov, also you can probably see the spy about to backstab you for a single frame if you can see whats behind your characters back.
if i remember correctly, since enemies have collision to you, your camera can bump into enemies too, you can spycheck by bumping your camera into a disguised spy
A Shounic-style test of this feature as an all-server setting would be excellent, revealing which classes, weapons and unlocks prosper or falter on both offence and defence with the alternative view modes. Also how does Sniper even work?
Valve’s crappy version is really fun with melee weapons, scaring the crap out of that poor sniper who just wanted to go to the respawn room is fun as hell.
Fun fact: they were originally gonna add the option to have third person on the advanced settings but was scrapped because it would be a problem for spy mains and players would take advantage of it. I still to this day disappointed they scrapped the third person option.
There's another, much worse camera that you can use in casual with a glitch. Launch a match with SV cheats enabled, and then type "camortho" in console. Your camera will now have 0 depth until you restart the entire game client.
the main problem is that people can camp or use demo traps effectively since they can see through the corners other than that it is a good feature, maybe not in casual nor competitive
@@Zeiso_Serenity Also spy is nerfed indirectly because you can see it coming and turn around. So it's not really a good feature because nerfing spy by giving everyone able to see their back make the class even more useless, high risk & low reward and situational.
@@beesechurgertf2 Well yes it would need to be adjusted a bit to be closer to the head of the player. But by the time youd see them youll alr be within backstab range
question, could you give the offsets that you changed to be able to make the third person? Yes, I know that the sv_cheats exploit was patched but it could be used in other source games, but if you no longer remember the offsets, it doesn't matter.
AAA, why couldn't 3rd person be in TF2 casual, I think it was there once? But like... i really need 3rd person mode. It would be a lot better to use to look around corners than to use Taunts!
@@KamiRuku You may think that! but as a person who play as spy sometimes! I think it is useful as long as you are careful, you can get a few clean backstabs + most people would most likely pick 1st person more than 3rd as it could be better! but like I said, 3rd person is better to use when needing to look past corners. I much rather have 3rd person mode added, cause at least in tf2c they allow you to do that
Because it's cheating. tf2 (and most fps for that matter) are designed around the idea players have limited vision. Which is why wallhacks are so op in fps games.
@poleve5409 of course you wouldn't understand! 3rd person is a lot easier for those who want to check around corners. Heck, people use taunts to do spy baits and taunts to see around corners all the time, I seen a lot do it, I'm just glad TF2C does it cause it makes it a lot more fun when you want to actually see your character, plus I got a few kills as those soldiers that jumps and hits people on the head with a shovel, that was a lot of fun til my pc slow down and I could barely play tf2.
Very popular strategy on community servers that allow it with commands (sm_thirdperson, !tp), I tried this in casual too when there was a HUD glitch allowing the same sv_cheats bypass a few months ago
Hope you enjoy this more chill commentary!
Only took me an entire ass day to make it, strike while the iron is hot as they say.
it got patched D:
already??
Literally only lasted a day unfortunately
is the thirdperson command an actual console command though?
@@Vrockl13345MB It was a mix of a bunch of commands to offset the regular thirdperson camera

You could say it's... anti-cheat

I think it’s a deliberate cheat for the opponents.

Oh yeah that would make the worst class in the game even worse

how does bro not have more views. the editing is stellar
Got patched fucking fast, can’t set tf_playergib to 0 now :(
Damn what a shame
Valve gonna try to make us play $20-$60 for a TF2 cppy with 3rd person instead of just adding 3rd person to the game smh
Not gonna lie, this looks great
I wondered what it would look like to get backstabbed while looking at your back, must’ve been trippy
trickstabs with spy (especially cornerstabs and stairstabs) gonna go crazy with this
god damn, the editing is pretty fucking good, and the voice treatment also

I did a pretty funny thing during this where i made my render distance 350 hammer units lol
I need to see more clips of playing like this but in first person.
There’s a command which shows your DPS, I think that’s pretty harmless
80% of community servers having a Thirdperson command "!tp": am i a joke to you?

third person seems cool but the problem is spy would be almost useless
I still think he'd be fun but you'd have to rely a lot more on your instincts for backstabs.
Trust me, I’ve used valve’s crappy third person on community servers and when it comes to spy it makes it way easier to trick stab.

Great editing.. good script.. nice talking points + nice voice flow.. but.. it’s missing the piss promised. 6/10.
I think there’s still players using taunts to look around corners still
in comp taunts are disabled because of this
