Thanks Victoria, I really love ur teaching vary simple an self explanatory. May God continuing to give you more wisdom everyday for you to be teaching us ❤️ you
What I absolutely love is that your videos overlap. That way, and eventually, because of sheer repetition, I learn what to be mindful of. At least that way, I can learn the components of proper singing.
Oh thank you so much! I have been discovering my voice. Even post a cover here on youtube, for fun. It is so hard to understand how to improve alone but, with your help im getting better! 😘
Hello Victoria! I discover vocal coaches through reading comments and have just discovered you thus! I tried this from the start of the video, and know JUST what you were talking about. What a definite change in sound alone, apart from the richer tone. I am a coloratura soprano and so am very interested in power when singing, as I sing some opera. I agree with you not to rely on a microphone alone, although I do use one. But recently I was singing an opera song (at home) and I thought how my resonance had improved. Then I noticed my mic wasn't even switched on! That gave me confidence because I know that an opera singer must be able to resonate over an orchestra - something I am still working on. My main genre however is musical theatre. But the truth is of course, that I am a classical singer. I sing a few "pop" type songs, but more of the easy listening types, and I sometimes change the tune in parts, so they become my own arrangement. When you speak of not being able to sing properly with the jaw closed, demonstrating with the teeth together - of course I thoroughly agree, there is a classical singer of whom I am a big fan, but one thing that has always puzzled me is that she does actually sing like that but I never understood why. I will not give her name because it is not etiquette, which I'm sure you wil understand. I am so looking forward to watching and working with your other videos. This has turned into a long message - hope I haven't bored you, but I love talking about singing and I am always wanting to learn more. A big thank you! I have subscribed of course. Kind regards.
@@Victoria-Victorious Thank you for replying! How fabulous to hear you are trained too as a lyric coloratura. Yes, I will be back! I have been busy for a day or two but will definitely look at your other videos. I always want to move on and my motto is "never say never". Kind regards.
Been watching your videos and haven't been disappointed at all. You're my 1st choice because you're highly experienced and details are very important. Thank you so kindly 🙏
wow i cant believe that actually worked thank you for that i have been struggling for a very long time to find the perfect pitch but now i can practice on this and perfect it you are BAUS
Wow this helped me identify in what way i was straining. I did everything in the throat and when i made different shapes of the mouth nothing happened. And when i released the tension my sound and resonance changed with my mouth shape!!!
Great affective tips I'm glad i ran into your video . I've been struggling to sing with a great tone . I was in classically trained and you made it clear to me . Tnks❤
Excellent video. I'm just interested in having a better speaking voice (richer, fuller) for UA-cam videos. I will watch your other videos as well. Thank You!
Hello Victoria, I hope you're safe and fine. I have a healthy speaking voice, but when it comes to singing I don't have a good tone. My question is if I practice singing, can I get a better tone that is more pleasant to be heard?

It depends what kind of sound you want. The vertical oval is for more color and fullness. Nothing wrong with going more horizontal for a brighter sound. I like a fuller bodied tone, though, as the default.

I keep swallowing my sound any help? Its like my singing is inverted sometimes from shyness any idea how to push the air outward as opposed to having this tension in the jaw and inward singing?😊

It’s funny how tricky something so simple can be to put into daily practice! Great tips!
1. Space between molars. Lower jaw slightly down and back.
2. Vertical oval mouth position, not horizontal
I have to constantly train to keep the vertical position. It's counterintuitive for me. Thank you.
It depends what kind of sound you want. The vertical oval is for more color and fullness. Nothing wrong with going more horizontal for a brighter sound. I like a fuller bodied tone, though, as the default.
