Thanks for the video! A side related question to the video. I see you have speakers on the side of your screen. But only an hdmi hook up on your projector. How do you hook up the speakers to your projector?
Thanks for watching. I have a hidden media closet with a receiver that powers the 5.1 sound. The HDMI on the projector runs to that and all the cables are hidden in the wall.
Hi, I actually have this same projector, can you let me know how to do proper maintenance on this projector, like how often do we need to change or clean the filters n stuff??
I clean the filter every 3 months and change the bulb every 4000-ish hours. We use it as a regular TV so it gets used a lot so I just keep check on the filter conditions as well. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
@@TheHappyLife-h7b oh alright thanks. Which is the replacement lamp you got and how much did it cost? I'm very confused cause there are so many lamps from a lot of different companies
@@TheSmithy225 no I don't think you'll have replace them like how you'll have to replace the bulbs. But you will have to re-align them from time to time. You can do that in the image settings
Hi and thanks for the diy video. Quick question, I've had this projector model for almost 8 years and never changed the bulb, simply, we use it on average once a month or twice at most. Tonight i wanted to enjoy a movie and realized that the bulb was blinking, and couldn't re-watch "Die Hard" does it usually happen suddenly like this or should it at least warn you that bulb is almost out??! I'm asking so i could be prepared for the next time. Thanks
@@gustavosh.5147 I have the same projector too. I got a warning saying it’s time to replace the lamp when it got to 4500 hours. I just got it replaced today
I've also had mine for 8 years, mine started to flicker a little but I've only done 950hours, how many hours did you use before it played up?? Also by any chance have you got a apple tv connected to rhe projector? My apple tv cuts in and out and tells my epson it's overheating
My bulb still works but the lamp light indicator and the temp light indicator blink red. Does that mean I need to change the bulb or is it just heating up?
Excellent job! Thank you so much! Now, I think I can do this on my own!
Thanks for watching and good luck!
You noted that the bulb runs hot. How has it held up in past year? Have you swapped it out with the OEM?
It works like a charm!
Working on ours right now. Had to take a break because the screws won't go in.
I hope you were able to get it done. Thanks for watching!
I have the same projector I changed the bulb and I'm still having the same problem any idea what it could be?
Thank you so much, Can a ask you something, we have the same projector but mine i can’t do a full screen, I can’t change the aspect ratio.
Thank you for the video! Very helpful!

Clean the filter and see if that makes it run cooler.
I have the same "looking" projector but mine is a 3D projector, can I use the same bulb?
This is also a 3D projector.
@@TheHappyLife-h7b Okay, you seem to not put that important information in. Thus, me asking that question. Jeeeeezzzzzz...........................
I never really used it as a 3d projector....thanks again for watching
Would it be the same as a 5030ud?
Can you please tell me how much is the cost of the bulb. I purchased it in USA but now i am living in India. Need to find a way to get the spare
Roughly $200
Thanks much
Our projector has vertical lines (blue and yellow). Would the bulb be the problem?
