    Just swapped out a 2150 lamp at 6200hrs. Things were getting pretty dim and muddy. Couldn't have been easier, and I suppose I didn't need the video, but I always appreciate seeing the process play out and making sure there aren't any unexpected surprises. So, thanks for your service!

    I’ve had a bulb sitting here for at least three months since my projector bulb started nagging me. I’ve been too lazy to even bother until randomly seeing this video. Just did mine is less than 5 minutes and it’s awesome now. You rock dude. Subbed.

    Just a note for people - you HAVE to put that white plastic shield back on for the projector to project. At least for my EPSON Home Cinema 2150.
    I wanted to test it BEFORE I put the shield back on but it wouldn't even light up at all. Tried the OLD lamp and had the same behavior. After a lot of head scratching I figured it out.

    This projector gets the job done pretty well. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

  • @lordbow

    If the bulb is expired, will it prevent the power/standby button from illuminating? My power button does not light up even though the power is on and cable connected. Makes me wonder if my projector is simply fried.

    Mine started blinking at ~4,500hrs, I reset the timer and left the bulb, it has been running the same for another 1,000hrs and still going. I bought a cheap Chinese bulb for $20 and surprisingly the projection looks identical, BUT there's an electronic noticeable annoying beeping sound. If I can get rid of the beeping sound it'd be a home run. I have the Epson 3020 powerlite home cinema.

    Thanks for the video, in my EH-TW5650 the lamp worked 11900h, the lamp was still from the factory, and never changed, worked mainly in eco mode, up to 11500h the brightness in a fully darkened room was sufficient, the main decline occurred after 11500h-11800h approximately, while it was not comfortable to watch without the "normal" mode! It all ended with an explosion of the lamp with a pop at 11900h, the cooler at the same time worked to the full, the projector was hanging upside down, and was removed without turning over the case, then the old lamp was removed, there were a large number of small fragments in the lamp body with 0.1mm, so if the lamp went off, then do not turn the projector over, otherwise the fragments will fall into the interior of the matrix block and into the cooler. The projector and the lamp worked for 3.5 years, continuously for 8-10-12 hours, sometimes it did not turn off for days, it worked in the "TV" mode).

      TW5650 is a great projector with almost every ports and features(casting,3D,2D to 3D conversion, native 1920x1080p resolution etc).i am using not more than 2-3hrs a day in weekend 5-6hr by 30min gap in between. but glad to know that you are using this as regular TV and haven't face any issue. Even my 2yr old LG oled C1 has not crossed 1500+ hours

    • @777Michas777
      @777Michas777 8 місяців тому +1

      @@FlyingFamily Yes, I use it as a regular TV, somehow the projector has worked 150 hours without a break, it works without repair, the total period on 2 lamps has already been 20,000 hours (62 months). I'm surprised myself how unkillable this model is. Once there was a jump to 400v in the 220V network, the projector simply turned off the lamp, a ballast error appeared, but after rebooting it worked as usual. I would be happy to change it to JVC d-ila, but I'm afraid that jvc will not stand this kind of work!)

    You have a review on this projector? I've been going through UA-cam and can't find a legit review. There's many channels using the same voice-over on different videos and they all appear to be fake or planted "reviews" so they can link and sell from their affiliated link. Was hoping for a legit opinion if this is worth the current $600 price tag. - Thanks!

      I've had it for a year and just got done testing it against 5 different 4k projectors that were $1200+ and to be honest, they weren't that much better than this one. And I got the 2100 for $500. So yeah, it's a pretty good projector. Only issue is it can get a little loud but if you're watching movies and playing games it's not noticeable at all.
