    Received my Wired Freedom Monday. Started assembly Wednesday. After unboxing the first thing I did was to check for any visible damage and there was none. Next I put Flat Out in the tire. From this point on everything was a breeze until the front wheel. The skewer was bent. Contacted Wired and sent a brief text and photo documenting the damage. The replacement arrives Monday and by the way burnt orange was my favorite color.

    For the red Rebound adjustment wheel you mentioned on rear shock, mine just kept turning and turning, and yours had 9 settings. Finally I pushed iN (towards the back of the bike) on that red REBOUND round wheel, and turned the wheel, and then I only had 9 settings I think. Otherwise if I did not push that red round screw like wheel INWARD when turning, that knob keeps turning and turning - at least for me. In case this is helpful for someone else. I am not sure if it is suppose to work this way, or if something wrong with shock, but it worked for me.

    Let me first say, I'm not an air shock/suspension expert.
    I liked how in the beginning "I want to make a quick but brief and detailed"...
    Now even though the video is over 40 minutes, in my opinion if I were to edit this video, I don't see myself cutting anything out. Yes it might be a bit longer than what was anticipated, but I think everything needed to be said so the viewer, whether a novice or pro, got all the information. There is a lot of information that someone who has never “tinkered” with air shock/suspension might not know.
    So definitely I'm SMASHING DAT LIKE BUTTON!!!! Good job.

    My 2024 Freedom was ordered in APR & was due to ship at end May, then postponed for the bonuses till end June. When it showed up the UPS man asked me to help get off truck its so heavy. The top of the box was ripped off from middle to 1 end with many holes along sides. It looked like a bear attacked it. When I opened it up I immediately saw many scratches in paint. I was bout to put together when I noticed no tool for handlebars or manual to put this together. So I went on their chat help & in the end it came missing manuals, tool,2nd battery charger, touch up paint, headlight, & PEDALS... so they send me the accessory box which took 4 days (mind you I took my vaca from work for the day of the delivery) & its missing the touch up paint. From this point on the Wired customer service chat was unhelpful & rude. I asked them how the batteries work is it frame batt till drained then rear kicks in? & they said it was a 'blendid' function that draws off both... So I told them that i purposely drained my batt to 60% on display & when went to charge both only the rear was at 60% while frame batt was 100%, so its not blending.... I like to pedal so I turn the motor options off (set to 0) & quickly found out that gears 1-6 make the chain skip on every rotation... They told me to take it to a bike shop for a derailer adjustment or watch a youtube vid on how do it myself...2400.00+shipping & this is the product I got & customer service to go with it FUCK WIRED

    There is obviously something seriously wrong with my rear shock. I've owned the 2024+ wired freedom for over a week and a half now, and havent been able to ride it in almost a week. I cannot get my rear shock to work properly, so ot bottoms out with hardly any weight. I've watched your video a dozen times as well as other videos on this subject and I just cannot get it to work.
    The rebound knob just spins freely in either direction. This wasnt the case the first couple of days i owned the bike, but then I heard what sounded like a tire deflating, and never put two and two together until it was too late.
    If you dont mind me asking, what are the three tiny screws at the very top of the shock? Im talking about the screws that appear to take an allen wrench to turn.

    • @leetjohnson
      @leetjohnson  10 місяців тому +3

      I noticed that mine does that too. I think it's just the cheap front fork. I've had other similar ebike setups that do that, too, but on my better pedal mountain bikes and dirtbikes with better forks, that doesn't happen. @@leetjohnsonI have motorcycle experience but I truly know the importance of height of the bike and the rider. I wish I could test one!

    Thanks for a great video, just what I was looking for. Any good pump recommendations on Amazon?

      I'd say any of them will work, just be sure the one you get has a guage on it. The higher rating ones are all fairly decent.

    So, 180 psi was your final setting? I'm 240 lb, so I needed 210-220 psi. I like to pedal, so I keep my seat high enough so my legs can extend. If the suspension is too soft, you then need to take the seat higher.

      @leetjohnson  11 місяців тому +1

      I recently put it up to 200lbs. Now it doesn't get as close to bottoming out, while still using about 80% of the travel.

      @@leetjohnsonI haven't ridden the bike yet, but I tested the suspension in my garage, and it bottoms out half way. I will leave it that way because I really don't want it to be too soft.

    Do you think the bike is too big for a 5'6" person?
