Just started eso like 4 days ago and I'm around level 40 I think. No clue what I'm doing I'm just knocking quests off down the list but hopefully I'll be able to do group events eventually
No, mate, you wanna use your crown gems first coz you can't sell crown ones to vendor. And new starters should start off with Soulshriven in Coldharbour, and then the small starter areas when you get dropped off after Coldharbour.
As someone who recently tried this game, my advise to anyone who hasn't played before and thinking of diving in is... don't. Just don't. I got to the first tutorial area where you are supposed to sneak past guards and it was a mess. Dozens of other players who it appeared were higher level blowing the beejeezus out of everything making it impossible to do anything. Wish I'd never bothered TBH. Go for Baldurs Gate 3. Much better experience.
@@Official_JakeClips That's very kind Jake. But it's not so much a matter of technique or tactics it's just other players screwing the whole thing up. I got the impression it was a kind of easy grind area where if you are high(er) level it's a good place to get easy XP. Problem being that if you are new it makes that whole area a total cluster F. It makes you think 'If this game is just full of people like this why am I bothering'. Think it's one of those games that if you didn't get in when or just after it's release there really is no point now. It is possible that I just had really bad luck like joining a really toxic server in GTA and I may have tried it at the wrong times of day but my advise to anyone who hasn't tried based on what I experience would still be steer clear of this one. Nothing personal whenever I've seen your content I've always enjoyed it so keep on keeping on sir.
@@TheWarpseed it’s actually an area that’s filled with bots unfortunately- and due to TOS rules they can be banned but they freely make new accounts very quickly. They do this to farm gold and sell using sketchy sites :/ - thankfully those areas aren’t op to farm but they are new player areas
@@Official_JakeClips Ah I see, that makes sense. I thought it was something like that. As annoying as it was, it was a little comical being challenged by a suddenly respawned guard only for him to be blasted to pieces the next second. Once you get out of that area does it quieten down so you can actually get used to how everything works? As it is a very different almost Tekken like combat style as apposed to the normal ES style.
Oh yes - the bots use start areas exclusively- and they’re run by macros. It’s a super weird problem but ESO gold is actually worth a lot of money compared to most MMOS if you’re on Xbox I can help show you :)
So im a very new player, and something i dont understand is how chests work in dungeons. If i find a chest and loot everything is there no loot left for anybody, or does each player get their own loot? Im so confused lol
You’re a reminding me of several of the factors are involved in why I stop playing the game and one Tamriel we’re lower level players can’t compete while fighting bosses was one of them quite literally. Sometimes it seemed like lower level players were doing more damage and taking less damage than a higher level player.
@@DS-lk3txit’s leveled. So it doesn’t matter how powerful you get, being level 50 is harder than being level 3 in a lot of scenarios. Basically lower level players are fighting lower level enemies and level 50 players are fighting level 50 enemies.
I just start coming back today but it’s gone about a year or two because I wanted a fresh start and everything looks different. How do I start the main storyline?
Won't new players need eso+ or have bought Elsweyr to play next event? Saving gold for bag space upgrade is high priority imho. Coffers can be bought with writ vouchers too eventually.

Don’t get me wrong wardens are kings of buff and debuffs and are definitely meta in there own right BUT I think what Jake was saying is that as just a pure healer like putting just pure heals out etc there more middle pack it’s the buffing dmg and debugging enemy’s that make it king right now though
@@itsnay7382 even just raw healing alone, Warden has more options than any class other than maybe Templar. Definitely more viable heals than the Necro, definitely more than the Sorc, and I don't think DK and NB are worth considering for healer
Don’t pay gold for resets. Get your armory and leave a build slot with no skills or cp learned and just reset it for free
A tip i wish I would have thought of when armory system launched... would have saved me a few ten thousands when I was testing different builds.
As a new player, I’ve watched heaps of videos. This is hands down the best intro vid to the game, thank you man well done
Glad it helped!
Great video ! I just made a second toon, I’m starting an oak sorc
It's been fun seeing all your videos this week! You're my fav for morning coffee time!
One point, alliance does make a huge difference to what race you pick unless you have purchased the any alliance any race requirement.
Good point!
I just started playing for the first time, this was a great video.
Perfect timing for me Jake. I’ve just returned after leaving a few months after release. Thanks again.
Great video! You definitely helped me decide on a few things to do as a beginner in this game.
Glad I could help!
This is a great video, Jake. I wish this had been around when I first started playing!

Any benefits to playing imperial? Since it's an add on.

Help...should I do the main quest in it's entirety or should I do the map quest and follow the story when moving to the next place on the map ?
It’s optional but I would for the lore

The harbarage (I can’t spell haha) it’s a cave that will be in all three starter zones! Glumebra, stonefalls, Audirdan it’ll be just outside the city

I wished almost 9 years ago I knew what the f an ERP guild was. Yikes!
Just downloaded the game last night, why is his menu different and his skill tree looks so much cooler, is it a console thing?
Console looks very different but mechanically the same !
Free race token? Where is that option or how to get?
Crown store but you usually have three free and they’ll be at the top of your character login screen
