Update correction!!! The batteries WERE dead. The reason you see the green light is because I did manage to open the safe, prior to this demonstration, and replaced the batteries. The button display is broken.
All those youtube videos you have seen, they all work because all the safes were not anchored to the wall or to the floor, if you do it, then those tricks will not work.
So don't these (Sentry) safes have a solenoid that is easily compromisable by either rocking back and forth like this OR actuating the solenoid plunger with a large neodymium magnet?! 🤔
I tried that too. The solenoid was jammed and Impossible to shake loose. I had the key and the combo and it wouldn't open. I now have a hunk of scrap metal that took two hours to open with pry bars and Not enough money to buy a replacement. Back to hiding my valuables in odd places. The next one will be a dial not a keypad.
You're right. I described the problem incorrectly. The batteries were dead. The touchpad, or control, is non-responsive despite it having brand new batteries. So... it's braindead.

Ah my sentry is bolted to the floor😅
Too bad you didn’t prove it was locked first.
It wasn't because the bolts were already retracted .
