Safe wouldn’t open after entering the code correctly did this method worked on first try sentry safes are garbage will never own one again lesson learned!! Thanks for the help
Did you have the safe on a cemented floor or a different type of flooring? I'm wondering if I'll need to move the safe out of my bedroom closet (carpeted) and into the garage (cement) .
My Sentry Safe, Model SFW123ES, serial number beginning with A9, did open using the rocking technique shown in the video! The rocking motion moves the solenoid plunger out of the way momentarily. To relieve binding on the plunger at the end of the forward rocking, lift up on the handle just prior to pushing down. If I push down on the handle too soon, the solenoid plunger may bind and the safe won't open. Be sure to remove the battery tray first. I did see a red light flash on when the safe was rocked. I don't know if Sentry Safes added something to detect rocking and thwart the technique. Without power, the electronics can't interfere. The solenoid is mounted inside the door. On this model, its plunger needs to move toward the front of the door to move out of the way and allow the handle to turn. A possible refinement of the technique would be to put the safe on a dolly, strap it down tightly and roll the dolly, safe door first, toward a fixed object. When the dolly strikes the fixed object, it and the safe should abruptly stop but momentum should carry the solenoid plunger forward, out of the way of the mechanism. to briefly allow the handle to be turned to open the door. I don't think the dolly needs to roll very far, probably less than a foot. I have not tried this technique, but, in theory, it looks like it should work. This method will only work on electronic safe models. Mechanical safes do not have the solenoid. The solenoid may be oriented differently on different models, requiring modifications to the technique. When performing any of these procedures, please keep safety first. You could suffer a serious injury if you aren't cautious enough.
I know that sentry safes are not 100% safe, but that is not what they are made for. The core business is fire and water resistant safes. And if you have such a safe, you are not doing it right if you do not mount it firmly in the floor or wall with chemical anchoring. This will prevent situations like this.
Stop wasting your time rocking it- pick it up three feet off of the ground and drop it on the front left bottom corner. works every time, ex vice cop trick.
@jessefrank3612 i assume you didn't watch the original post. The reason you would do this is if you lose the combo to one of those cheap safes and you need to get it open at any cost. Just saying....
THANK YOU!!! HOLY $HIT!!! Worked on the second rock back-and-forth. I literally tried three different rare earth magnets for the “magnet trick“. I can’t believe I didn’t see this before wasting my time for weeks with all this different stuff .
Couldn't remember my code to save my life even though I have opened it just days ago with no issues. As dumb as this is, it actually works. Took me a little bit but I got it open doing this.
These inexpensive safes are good for preventing a curious child from getting a handgun. And some fire protection too. The down side is that a burglar can easily carry these away.
So if you bolt it to a concrete wall and floor it should be ok. The problem being that I live in a timber framed house. Which I love by the way, so I’m not moving. 😊
I understand some of these have a plastic gear that can strip so the handle no longer engages the bolts I think that’s my problem as I have older model and am told there is no solenoid
I had been planning JB weld one of these (SFW123DTB) to a steel plate and then secure that plate to the floor (jb weld the bolts too as they would be exposed) so i could retain the fire/water resistance and have it secure. After seeing this those are these just totally just for actually securing valuables? I'm having a hard time finding a good safe that isnt going to cost thousands of dollars.
Best to bolt them to the floor. If not, at least screw them to the floor. I really don't trust ANY of these new electronic mechanism safe models. I have one of the old Sentry combination floor safes... but, even it is bolted all the way through the floor. No one is walking off with my safe or rocking it open!
My battery died . So i will try this . Ill get back to u in a bit....... Almost 😂 the handle did slide down.... I'll take it outside and try it on concretw

Good info. I'll be sure to wear a helmet if I ever try this again.
Wow! Kind of happy it worked.. but also upset !
Thanks sooooo much!! Saved me a huge hassle!!
Thanks man I tried using a thousand pound magnet and nothing. Rocked it and was in in less than 10 seconds.
I just tried the magnet & it didn’t work

Funny thing was, the first couple times that I tried this, it opened right up. Then I got the camera set up....
Yea I know how that goes...
@@parkerssafesI just tried it in my bed room and the handle slid down . So now I'll take it outside on concrete
This is my safe. Why tf would I drop it on the ground and ruin my own property I worked hard for.

I have fifty pounds of change in my little safe. It's kind of hard to rock back and forth. But if i ever need to open it again i will try this method
I wonder if it works with a turn dial
THANK YOU!!!
HOLY $HIT!!! Worked on the second rock back-and-forth.

Does it ruin the safe? Can it be locked back?
Worked well in my case (different brand but just wouldn't open up without some leverage inside).

@@technicalitems731 No. Yes. Doesn’t seem to hurt anything.
I changed the batteries and still no response from the keypad. What do I do now???
Rock it 🤦🏻♂️
@@loopnessmonster4552 I cleaned the connection points of the removable battery case with alcohol and let it dry. Works fine now
This worked ! Thank you!

Does it work on the scroll lock version as well?
Dunno

Help I have trouble opening mines!!!!! Did the rocking trick and still won’t open.
IDK what safe you all have but mine will NOT open at all with the batteries in or out of it.

how about if it its full of stuff inside Sir?
Good point. Don't try it with nitro glycerin.
Try new batteries first even if the battery light doesn’t come on. I installed new batteries and it opened right up
Safe handle turned but did not unlock the safe. I tried on the dial as well same thing
I dunno. it worked for me a few times.
@@parkerssafes the video doesn’t lie. I’ll have to try with more force and on concrete (maybe the concrete will generate enough vibration) thanks
@blakemoreno1219 yup don't be afraid to 'juggle' it.
man i was going to get my tambourine and jam out with you
gonna try this on my safe now and hope it works. Had the safe less than a month!
did it work?
@@georgethemonkey7239 no. Needed to take it to a locksmith and they had to drill into it.
All the sudden my code does not work. Willing to try anything to get bullion out.
Same here, I get 5 beeps
It’s that little plastic spring loaded piece at the top. These safes are junk! If they would just replace that part I’d consider it to be “decent”.
This safe is not for maximum security but has maximum safety of your valuables in case theres FIRE
@@Rxckstarmad3 I understand that but all they had to do was replace that one part and it would be alright.
It’s Work🎉!
Thank you very much 👍
Did you close it back afterwards
You cannot open our electronic safe, and you cannot use such a lock.

Just tried it. It works
Thanks
Little hard to rock it if it is bolted to a concrete floor.
Everyone agrees with that.
NEWER DESIGN WITH KEY IS NOT THAT EASY TO OPEN
❤ thank you so much the key won't open but when I move 😂 it open 😅
yes
Electronic password safe,
Use magnet
Stop showing thieves !!
These commericial safes are well known for being only effective on children or fires.
Yep, its a fire rated safe not a true security safe. Kinda like a door lock on a screen door.
What a piece of junk.
It’s garbage
