      I just looked and this is a ~170$ magnet on Amazon?? Be just a effective to destroy the safe to get it open and then use the 170$ to go buy another one. IF your safe is empty, just buy another one. Will a cheaper, less strong, magnet work?

    I read that sentry had acknowledged this flaw, and said they provide an after market fix to prevent the opening by magnet. They list the safes they say need it and I could not find the model I was interested in, the senef3428e sentry safe. So my question is, does this magnet solution work on all sentry safes? Or only certain ones. IE the smaller safes they offer? Thanks!

    hi - my sentry safe has a plastic cowling that is in a position as to cover the actuator so as to not allow the magnet to get close enough to the steel door to open the pin it seems... mine is 10 years old, so some models seem to have had a modification to help avoid this dang it. I needed it to work as my solenoid has broken on it and sentry said 'just get the locksmith to drill it open.... at your expense".. handy that. Locksmith In Australia si $100 for call out plus $180 per hour. Not to mention the cost of a new safe as well.

    • @BoredLockpicker
      @BoredLockpicker  6 років тому

      Hudda Rudda mine is newer than ten years lol. So I guess they made them worse. You bounce the safe while pulling in the handle and do the same thing the magnet does.

    • @huddarudda2244
      @huddarudda2244 6 років тому

      Bored Lock picker wow. Really? Just bounce away and the pin will wobble enough to open? Terrible! Should not surprise me. The biggest magnet I can buy in Australia fir under $600 - eBay is 50mm x 30mm deep - the hockey puck is 100mm x 30mm - and I sourced one company $700. Maybe if my magnet got a clean attach it would work.

    • @huddarudda2244
      @huddarudda2244 6 років тому +1

      Bored Lock picker also - it’s attached to the floor - so I can’t wobble it till I get it open and unbolt it. Insurance won’t cover anything unless bolted to the floor in Aus.

    • @huddarudda2244
      @huddarudda2244 6 років тому +1

      Bored Lock picker any thoughts on where I’d drill it - to avoid paying a locksmith to $200 do it? I have the equipment - drill and bit. Just a normal drill bit? I can email you a photo of the safe?

    Idk if you read comments that are old or not, but is there a weak point in the handle mechanism that would break instead of the pin (plastic I’m assuming) so if you take a wrench to the handle it would just spin instead of pulling the actuators?

Can you buy them with a hole drilled in the center to be able to attach a rope and be able to retrieve fishing gear? Ex lures, rods, and reels or other things. If so or whatever how much does one like urs cost? and where did you get urs? Also can it be ordered with a hole drilled? Thank you for your time
