As a nursing student in this time of pandemic it’s not easy to perform RetDem virtually. The sad part is that our clinical instructor only provide us a checklist as a guide for our Retdem and so we really need to self study about this. But thankfully when I saw your video, it really help me and other nursing students as well. Thank you for providing us a very informative video. Love from Philippines 🇵🇭.
So lovely, thank you for your time and for sharing your skills with us. So kind of you! By the way, I would also like to mention that your last videos (lectures) show how well you improved your way of teaching because you realized that you are not only a teacher of "your students" but also hundreds of thousands of students around the globe. When I watched "BABY IN BREECH POSITION | MATERNITY NURSING" I have no need for tens of boring PDF slides as university lectures and I could understand and give feedback on all other material about Breech presentation
This is extremely helpful! Saved me a lot of time with how short the video is and how easy to understand your explanations are so that I don't need to keep repeating. Thank you so much! Earned a sub and I'm hoping more for you!
Thank u so much nursing prof I'm a second year nursing student and we need to demo it but my clinical instructor doesn't provide a video for us only the checklist you really help us thank u so much
You're so cheerful and this video was really helpful I really liked it ❤ I have an OSCE obstetrics exam and this covers the topic pretty well, thank you🌷
Thank you for this video, it really helped a lot in clarifying everything regarding leopolds maneuvers, student nurse from Philippines preping for retdem tomorrow🤍. Online classes is really hard😭😭😭
When is Leopolds maneuver usually performed? Is it done usually before birth during the transition stage? Or like on admission to determine where to place the fetal monitor? Thank you for this great video.
@@thatnursingprof2661 I'm sorry but there are some medical sources said that : _the third manuver (1st pelvic grip) is used to determine the presentation.....as like the first manuver (fundal grip) So , the third is confirmatory for the first While the fourth manuver (2nd pelvic grip) is used to determine engagement So , what do you think about this ?!
Just wanna ask about the third maneuver, is it possible if I am going to use my thumb and other fingers in determining the degree of engagement? I am still a student, so I want some clarification and need your opinion about this matter if that's okay?
@@thatnursingprof2661 thank you so much♥️ your videos helps me a lot for real. I hope you'll make more videos because they're a big help for those who are starting in their journey to become a nurse, just like me😊

It is done on admission to determine where to place the monitor.
I think that the 4th manuver is for head engagement ......not the third
Is it right ?.....please tell me because I'm confused 🤔😕
The third is engagement the fourth is done to locate the brow

@@viscabarca9674 I agree with you , 3rd is for presenting part and mobility and 4th is to check engagement of the fetus.
Thanks for you♥️♥️♥️
Thanks! 🤍

Do you voice the babysitter on the Incredibles?
ty ...
Thank you so much
thankyouusm for this,thanks a lot,loveyouuu.
OMG TY!
Hi love from the philippines ❤🎉😂
quick question: In step 4... is that determining if the fetus is in a longitudinal or horizontal fetal lie position?
ALSO: LOVE your videos! You're helping me survive OB Online..
No its determining the location of the brow aka the forehead. This helps us figure out the direction baby's head is facing.
@@thatnursingprof2661 thank you so so much for clarifying!!!
thank u very much huhu.
I just want to ask what are you trying to palpatr in the 4th maneuver? I didn't quite get it 😅
You are trying to locate the brow.
Ohhh thank you so much!!
Just wanna ask about the third maneuver, is it possible if I am going to use my thumb and other fingers in determining the degree of engagement? I am still a student, so I want some clarification and need your opinion about this matter if that's okay?
Yes use your thumb and pointer finger to form a "L" to determine engagement
