- this Bosch drill starts and stops if you move or bang it. I have a similar model (GSB18V-490) that had the same issue and same fix thanks so much from Canada! The dude on the assembly line maybe had a good night before his shift 😂
Mine has done that since new and I forgot to exchange it during the return window. Contacted Bosch and warranty was a hassle so I will definitely be trying this. Thank you sir!
Thank you, I have this same issue with a craftsmen Bolt-on series. Drill has been great for me, built a lot of great things. I hope I can fix it now
Thanks Dean! top man! my drill had exactly the same issue, and required exactly the same fix. I messed up on re-assembly by not connecting the speed switch (the speed1 or speed2) properly, but your video shows how to do this. I also found the screws on the housing to be really soft so I'd warn to watch out to use the correct screw bit and not overtighten.

Excellent! I bought a 20v lithium Bosch drill/driver 1/2" (not brushless) at a garage sale. I pull the trigger many, many times repeatedly, and it works fine. Then pause, pull the trigger and nothing happens. The drill looks as though it has barely been used. Maybe I should open it up to see if it's a solder problem. What do you think?

I have the same issue, opened it up and couldn't find any solder issue or broken wires, don't know what to do now.
I have the same one and it stop spinning completely one day. Pressing the button just turn on the light, I've checked the wires and they look fine. Is it the controller issue ?

Hey! I've got a Bosch gsr 18v-55 that doesn't work properly. When I pull the switch nothing happens, sometimes it goes around. I've dismantled it and checked for any loose wires but everything is fine. Feels like the stator and rotor are a bit tight against each other, because when it runs it sounds weird and i can smell some kind of burned or warm smell. Any idea? Kind regards
Look at the stator winding and see if they are burnt.
Just get new one. Not working.
