The Musgrave texture node was replaced by the Noise Texture node, which includes all the same functionality.
Trying to figure this out by myself. Other than that, I am really looking forward for your tutorial on syncing this with audio!
    Loved it!

Excellent idea & application. Not hard to setup, which is good for me, but with great results fast! 5 out of 5 stars.
(I did come into this thinking it was a music visualizer, in the sense that it would react to a music or MIDI input, do you think that would be hard to plug this setup into?)

      I thought the same.

It’s possible to make it react to music in mamy different ways … You can plug audio waveform data into pretty much anything: Color, luminence, distortion of this effect, transparency, thickness of lines and more … I was expecting that too

The "Animation Nodes" add-on makes it possible to use MIDI notes (on, off, velocity, note number) to drive just about any property in Blender. I'm currently working on an animation where robots are playing instruments, and almost everything is driven by MIDI.

any chance you have the download available? I'm using 4.0 and still kind of new to it got stuck at trying to find the mix shader as it doesn't show up in the add nodes

Great! Can you tell me where I can find a 3d model of a skull wearing headphones? I could model it, but I'm trying to save some time. T.I.A.!

can you make that effect in a skull with headphones with crossed swords below, have the effects light brightness (light color like a cyanish ghostly green tone would be uber sweet) reactive to the music or audio stems (i.e. the bass, kick and snare track) and have smoke coming out and around the skull with the animation some how linked to the audio signal to speed up or slow down based on the audio, but also the light reacts with the smoke realistically and light shines through/bounces off the smoke, just like real life, with the camera is slowly panning around the visualizer? That would really cool! and then maybe import the render into FL Studio ZGameVisualizer and then make the whole scene bounce to the track with other minor effects and add song title ect... how much for this service? haha

omg orrr what if its an underwater Cthulhu type vibes, same everything from above but there's water particles and stuff and when the light flashes and bounces with the music, the refractions and reflections in the water (you know like water caustics) maybe the skull is actual aged bone with cracks and the light comes out of these cracks, the water particles and stuff move faster or slower based on audio, and some how the water ripples with the kick and mass omg omg omg how much? also is smoke possible underwater? I really want this visualizer lol
