Full size pistols are not for everybody bro. My appendix EDC is a Glock 17Gen4 or my Beretta M9A3 and I've been carrying both for years and carry both of them just fine.

You forgot to mention the 5 inch barrel gives you better velocity and expansion on hollow points so it actually hits harder too. Around 5 inches is probably the optimal length for a handgun barrel in terms of ballistics but still being carry-able

Yea I’m deadly accurate with a full size gun and with the gun I carry which is a compact pistol I have a hard time staying on point. I’m a felon tho so I gotta keep the little gun on me and not the big one so no cop sees it but I would rather keep the full size gun on me
I got a sig Xmacro it made me retire my 19x after the Xmacro hype went away it went into the safe and hasn’t came out I love bigger guns preferably with the grip length of the 19x/17 fits like a glove in my hand and I feel more confident placing shots I also conceal the 19x as well as my slimline Xmacro I’ll probably use the Xmacro for days I want to go to the mailbox lmao
I agree it really comes down to what works for your body size. I’m 5’10 175lbs and i like to carry at 3:00 position. Usually carry a G30 with a 9 round mag or 10 in the winter. Conceals great. Sometimes I carry my G23 but thats a bit more cumbersome cause I added a light and long ported barrel
Just get a PHLster enigma and you can hide a sub-compact pistol better than any long-slide pistol. Plus it’ll be independent of your pants so no belt necessary
It gets a little better I got an officer compact 1911 that holds 10 rounds of .45 or 14 if I put the extended mag on it, but even then it’s still smaller than a stock 1911.

Do a Google search for the "keel principle." The longer a gun sits below the waistline the better it tucks grip back into the body. If you have a short sub-compact or micro compact they tend to protrude outward and away from the body.
I carried a comped MR920 with X300 that was the same length as a G34 all together. It absolutely conceals better than the P320 X-Compact that I carry now. But it was not nearly as comfortable. It was just a touch too long for me to be able to bend at the waist and at the diaphragm. But the grip didn't print nearly as much as my shorter barreled gun does now.
That’s why I carry a 19x, Full size grip with the 19 slide. Concealable enough but fits so much better in the hand than a compact or sub compact pistol
Yep, there is much more to CCW than just carry and concealing. Those things are important but they don’t mean anything if your pistol is so small that you can’t shoot it accurately.

I have carried a Glock 17, 21, 226 and a 509 fullzise concealed. Im 5'8 and had no issues whatsoever. All of these had leather holsters.
This is why I have a 26 with a 19 slide.
