I’ve been using this since it was first released. Quick and convenient shaving. You can achieve almost razor like shave if you prep your face with a hot face wash first or after shower or bath. Shaving 3 times a week, blades last me 6 months.
Thanks for sharing your experience with this.
In my opinion, you can't call it a shaver. It's more of a beard "cutter". After years of trying to find the shaver which suits me best, I'm the most satisfied with the Oneblade. I had the top-class shavers of Braun, Philips and Panasonic. Out of them, the Panasonic is the best, without a doubt. But I always had issues with burns and ingrown beard. Same with Gillette and Wilkinson, as well as other razors. The Oneblade doesn't cut the beard as close to the skin, which you can feel, but don't see. So, for me, it works the best. I own the cheapest one, by the way. I had the Pro Model, but returned it for the green one. First of all, I had no use for the adjustable "comb". But as I shave with soap or foam, my hands are usually wet, and the silver OneBlade is slippery as hell.
+OneSingleBreath thanks for sharing your opinion on this. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What is your Panasonic model?
hi, does Oneblade give a closer cut than a andis t trimmer? or a wahl detailer? thanks
you are an interesting character to watch, i lost interest of the shaver 30 seconds in but continued watching to hear you talk
:D many thanks :D
@@geekanoids is it good for down under/?
@@stevethea5250 yeah don't see why you would not be able to use it in Australia
@@SMAKKEL He means the area between the legs .
Great shaver.
Finally a shaver that doesn't hurt you.
Thank you Philips🙏.
:D it works very well.
I got the little skinny handled version. I think it’s for face but I use it everywhere needed. Mad it works great. I even use down strokes.
Awesome :D
I’d like to know how many comfortable shaves you get from the blade. Philips is stating 4 months shaving 2 times a week or 32 actual shaves. Is this true ? Because it costs 40c a shave at 32 shaves and that’s a lot when you can shave with a DE razor for 3c a shave
Sorry I no longer have this to check, would imagine around 25-30.
Try using pre-electric shaving lotion , it might help the blade glide easily and might closer shave
🤓👍🏻
Thank you for being concise and to the point. A skill that is lacking these days!
Thanks so much Thomas.
Nice review! Btw I'm used to have a clean blade shave feeling, but the device is really nice anyways - for teenagers and people who travel its perfect. Maintaining a beard is not easy, but this make it easier for sure. Not having a beard and if you want a clean feeling - not so good. One Blade doesn't achieve these things, but do so much things better like body trimming. So - recommended device for its price range, which is for the mass.
Thanks for sharing this.
“How close does it shave”?
Exactly what I wanted to know! Thanks!
Awesome, thanks for watching.
You look a LOT younger without the beard! Thanks for the review; it was more informative than most all the others regarding this shaver.
Thank you :D
Zaine Ridling stop lying to that dude
Good review. Did the razor pull your hairs besides the one time you mentioned
Nope it was pretty good for sensitive skin.
It gets down to almost the same length as a razor blade when you use shaving cream. Very impressive in my opinion.
Thanks Kenny. Have a great day.
I agree, it’s about a one day difference at most, much less irritation as well.
Do I rinse it off like a normal razer?? Water proof??
Is it stronger than the other two? Or does it still get choked up if there's quite a bit of hair?
Definitely better on less dense hair.
Thank you for this presentation .Now I see live what and how this machine do . I think i will buy one because i like the results.
Thanks so much Adriem, have a great weekend.
These are awesome blades for people with sensitive skin and don’t like blade shaving. Good review Dave
+bowsim Definitely. Many thanks.
Hi. Can this shaver be used to shave your head as well? Excellent video! Thank you. 👍
Yes, absolutely, but it will leave a little rough.
For the price it does not seem like a bad shaver, I have tried electric shavers and for me I get a better and faster shave from a blade. For people with sensitive skin this might be a good deal, or for someone looking for a quick touch up during the day. Excellent video Dave and no do not grow a beard.
+Darren Gator it definitely is good for sensitive skin. Thanks Darren.
That seems good for me then.
I shave very irregularly so my facial hair grows enough that more conventional shaves and razor blades are really pulling on my hair.
I think this will help me with shortening my facial hair enough that I can just leave it that way or to then have a much easier time when I switch to the razor blade.
It’s a good choice for what you describe.
@@geekanoids Now I bought it (the cheaper version costing 69 euro) and I tried it. While it was not the fastest shave I ever did (since it does not cover a large area at once), it was by far the most painless and irritation-less shave I ever did.
It is right up the alley for someone who does not shave regularly due to feeling lazy and worried about skin irritation.
Nice review Dave but you just can't beat a nice close wet shave with a blade.
:D
I think the display is supposed to show the percentage not the minutes left...
Yes.
Yeah but it's 90 minutes run time so might as well be.
You think maybe you could have tested the accessory for trim length?
My beard was not long enough to test this.
Very useful review. Helped me to make my decision . PS: you look better with the stubble.
Many thanks :D:D:D
So, I shave upwards as I really feel very scruffy which I really need to have a shave, tonight 🧔🏽and I had a 💇♂️💈 yesterday. Anyway, Are you on the mend?🙂
Slowly but surely 👍🏻
@@geekanoids also when I shave under my chin, I think it’s downwards.
What is the price in GBP? i paid around 80 euros
Is the shaving effect comparable to electric shaver, like Braun Series 3?
Not as smooth.
hello I was looking at these one blade pro trimmer and shavers on Amazon there's one model costing around £42 and then there's one £77 it's the qp6520/30 I would like to know what's the difference between these 2 and is it worth the £30odd pound extra please
I think with one you get extra length attachments and blades.
@@geekanoids ok thx for letting me know thank you
There's something satisfying about this video.
+Michael Nguyen cheers Michael 👍🏻
+Geekanoids If you used this while doing a wet shave with some shaving gel. You would have gotten a shave damn near the same as an actual razor blade. You also wouldn't have felt any pulling of hairs.
Can i use water for the razor while im shaving? (Like clean it with water if hair gets inside)
Sorry I no longer have this to check.
yes its water proof
Great video. Got exactly what I was looking for!
Many thanks 🤓👍🏻
Can it be used under the shower? ....and in more "sensitive" areas, if you know what i mean...?
Sorry, I no longer have this to check.
What? On your pubes you mean? You bashful little thing you!!
I just need something to clean up my cheek line. Wonder will it do?
Should work well.
can i use it for my head
I have heard people using for this but with mixed results.
Its a pity it cant do a clean shave. I really like the device and the durability of the blades.
I agree.
My beard is pretty coarse. I am skeptical. I want to buy it because the electric trimmer I use now is not cutting close enough. 1 mm is not close enough for me.
Agreed, this is not the smoothest shave,
Works best after a nice warm shower and some plain shaving cream
Thanks for the tip.
Great review. However, if it's ONLY as good as a regular electric shaver, I don't see why I'd buy this, since the longterm costs of a 15 buck blade every 4 months, is much higher than a regular shaver, it seems to me.
Thanks for sharing your opinion on this.
Could you please do a new vid with you shaving your head with the OneBlade, please?
I no longer have this.
Can you use it on your hair ?
You could but I think it would be difficult.
Hi!Nice analysis!! BUT the shaver ( as all of this type )Too much noisy for me...
Thanks for sharing your opinion on this.
Does this oneblade shave as close as a bic razor?
Not quite.
Thanks for the review
Can you let it grow more than that?
Grow it
+grittyshaker maybe 😉
Hi Dave. While browsing for a neat body groomer on the internet and of course watching some helpful reviews, I stumbled upon your review. What I really want to point out, is that you should really consider growing and wearing a beard. It is not like you are lacking character or a pleasant personality, but I was actually amazed how well it suits you! Hope you're going to read this one and take it into consideration one day. P.S. I think there are many followers thinking the same! Cheers, Sándor
Thanks so much, that is really kind of you to say. Have an amazing day :D
@Geekanoids
please dont say that the oneblade performs well as a regulary shaver..for example Braun series 9 shaves nearly as close as a razor does
The B Series 9 does shave closer for sure.
I think the beard looks good on you
Thanks Marco.
Very good review
Dutch word for shaver: Swaffel
Dutch word for shaving: Swaffelen
Dutch word for Shaving cream: Kwakkie
Awesome 🤓👍🏻
Go DE.
This "shaving" makes you look like you shaved with a fork. Every electric shaver I tried has always left me with untouched hairs all over the face. One or two is enough to make look ridiculous, let alone when you have them scattered throughout the whole face like that. And good luck with ingrown hair after a month or two of using this lawn mauler.
:D many thanks for your feedback on this.
Did you use the OneBlade and had ingrown hairs?
Dude you should keep that full beard
You rock it 👍
Cheers 🤓👍🏻
No replacement blades in the box ?
Not with this kit.
You can get one with a lithium ion battery (60 minutes run time opposed to 45) that comes with an extra blade and a guard for genital shaving as well.
Kenny Kelly thanks mate
I suggest you try it wet with foam. Much better
Thanks for the tip.
Mine didn't even come with a little bag or discount card or a standing charger . But then again I live in Canada
Must be different depending on region.
Nice review. Thanks.
Cheers Jay, Happy New Year.
Another charger to put in my travel bag :( When will we see USB charging port OMG!!!
I agree, that would be a wise move for other manufacturers to make.
Pretty sure this is more intended as a beard trimmer not a shaver
Yes, better at trimming than a complete shave.
Christ dave you look so much different with a beard grown lol, great video i have one of them similar shavers but never really known how to use them, now that ive seen your video i might give mine a go one time. I dont think you should keep one dave otherwise it makes you look untidy for the camera ;)
+Dan Mufc1999 definitely makes me look older LOL.
> How Close Does it Shave ?
It doesn't shave at all.
Amazing video
Thanks so much Rob.
Grow the beard matey
:D:D:D have a great day.
better with a double edge razor
True.
Theres water in the display , what the hell
There isnt.
That’s not bad I was looking into this
It is not as close a shave, but definitely nicer on sensitive skin.
Geekanoids that will be perfect for me thanks for replying back
Good vid
Many thanks :D
Its a trimmer
Thats far from being shaved.
My neck sure got bloody with it :')
Sorry to hear that :/
Omg , what is that?! This is not a shave!
no beard trimmer ever does a good shave, cant beat disposable razors
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.
Silly bugha 😂😂😂
I've wasted my money on this one. If you also have a sensitive face, don’t waste your mony on any model of the Philips OneBlade or Philips OneBlade.
Sorry to hear that.
half the comments: "i use oneblade because a classic razor makes my face red and itchy" - real reason- he doesn't know how to shave
This worked fine for me.
I was told that somebody should never shave against the grain
Some find it not comfortable, for me it works with some shavers.
Not impressed
