Cleanse, tone, and then moisturize!! In that order! You can use whatever brand of facial products you use just do all 3 steps and it will help keep your skin looking and feeling amazing!!! Cleansing is self explanatory. Toner opens up your pores and removes anything the cleanser missed. Then moisturize to close your pores. That will prevent dirt and sweat from getting into your pores and causing pimples and or inflammation! Toner and moisturizer are like shampoo and conditioner. You can't use one without the other...shampoo opens the hair cuticle, toner opens your pores, and conditioner closes the pores back down just like moisturizer closes the pores on your face.
I used to have skin like that. I'm currently on accutane and it totally fixed everything. It shrunk my pores so much and made them so small. Accutane gave my skin a smooth texture.
Or use a retinoid, which would help a lot more than SA and niacinamide... those are good ingredients but I've never seen them help with pores. I've used SA for years and it helps somewhat to keep them clear but it never reduces poor size or sebaceous filaments etc. That's just a farce.
That's your OPINION. I've used all three for years and I saw more shrinkage of open pores with SA than with anything else. RetiNOID does nothing, RetiNOL on the other hand is a little better, but not as much as SA.
I do all of this and have my whole life to no difference. My skin looks clean but I still have texture and open pores. Nothing can be done it’s genetics. Only lazer or phenol face peel will make a real difference

Just be careful. My skin is that type and I started my treatment with Niacinamid 10% from Laroche Posay. Spent over 100€ and applied 2 times a day. The first 2 weeks was okay although I didn't see a significative change bit hey, these things take a while. But then my skin started reacting strange. Was burning when taking a shower or cleaning it, some parts started falling off, I couldn't even make up for 2 weeks, looked red and hypersensitive. We all have different needs and different gens, of course, but I want to warn you: niacinamide is a strong product and not for every kind of skin, and for sure, not an everyday product. Check before starting not to suffer like i did 🙏
Definitely pores can be reduced, closed. Because people are not born with such a textured skin, so if it was caused by something, it can be also treated.
If I'm with a wonderful, kind and beautiful person..I could care less how big their pores are. Pores are how your skin breathes..and we need to love them for our health and well being!
This is totally untrue. Salicylic acid is not at all good for dry skin. Also as someone who can tolerate most product, niacinamide is the only product that irritates my skin. Which is weird. In short, know your skin type before spending a fortune on skincare.
even dry skin people have pores, so if they go on applying salicylic, their skin will break out and do more harm than good. please suggest for dry skin people too!!
Niacinamide is a form of B3 that can be found in foods like meat, fish, milk, eggs, green veggies and cereals. Idk, but I think it’s always best to solve the problem from the inside out. This stuff, I imagine, will only work while using the product and the skin will go back to normal once you stop. That’s how it was with retinol for me anyway.
I have sensitive skin, very difficult to manage. The Niacinamide serum that has worked with excellent results is The Inkey List 10%. No terrible side effects. I get it from Amazon UK. I also use a facial steamer at least twice a week. I'm yet to get back on 0.25 Retin A. No prescription from OKDERMO. There, I just plugged you darling ❤😊
Even if this is on your? When I was younger I always got teased that I look like a freshly plucked chicken and I have pretty big pores on my legs and I'm dark-haired so just yeah made for a wonderful childhood but is there a way that I can get rid of that strawberry skin on my legs?
My dermatologist told me to do a regular exfoliating routine using a body scrub & so far, it has been working pretty good for me. Just don't overdo it by getting too aggressive with the rubbing & use a mild scrub (small to medium size granules, nothing too course).
Using a sulphur cleanser, and letting it sit on my face for a minute or 2 after scrubbing it, we'll scrubbing it gently of course since it's your face... And then also changing my pillow case a couple times a week, if not just sleeping on the other side of the pillow, and then I also cleaned my faucet, like I took off the topper bits and put it in some vinegar to get rid of all that calcification and Gross stuff. And all sorts of mold and other gross stuff was stuck there because of the calcification. I cleaned my shower head as well, and it helped my skin a lot
Aloe! Im telling you! Aloe will help boost the moisture in your skin n help with texture. Its important to find a pure aloe gel, no alcohol or other addititives, or make your own Can add it to shampoo body wash n get great results
See my problem with all this is that I use a retinoid which clearly states it can't be used with any other acne treatment. It's cleared my skin better than any other ingredient or product I've tried, but still not completely. If I mix that with SA in any from my skin gets worse so what am I supposed to do?
You should be fine with the toner and reintol. the YT dermatologists Doctorly says SA would only potentially add irritation. If excessive/burning toner then yes you would skip the retinol for just those two nights in the week. The only ingredient that is actually bad to use is benzoyl peroxide as it negates out the retinol chemicals.
That's not true. Niacinamide works perfectly fine with retinoids. BHA should not be applied in the same regimen as retinoids. I use my AHA toner, Azeliac acid serum and BHA in the morning, and only Azeliac acid in combo with granactive retinoid at night and it continues to do wonders for my skin. Hope that helps 🫶🏽
@christinas.-b.3820 Thanks for the recommendations. I do use niacinamide daily but I'm still quite new to this and I have dramatically bad skin so striking a balance has been hard. I was actually referring to salicylic acid though? I can't use that with retinoids I've learned from experience but it's really in everything and is the most pushed acne treatment
@@daydreamsreality2809so much of what you can and can't use depends simply on what your skin will/won't tolerate. Don't worry too much about what ppl say you can or can't do, just listen to your skin and it will tell you what it will and won't tolerate!! Introduce any product slowly and gradually into your skincare regime (maybe 2x weekly), so you can see how well your skin tolerates it... don't worry, you'll be able to tell if you can increase it's use or if you need to decrease or discontinue it completely. With most products, you should probably be able to gradually work up to using them every other day (if they're a stronger product) or daily (if they're a daily use product). The most important thing to remember is to listen to your skin and what it's telling you!!! If it's red, inflamed, bumpy, and hurts, STOP USE IMMEDIATELY!! If it seems soft, smooth, and generally in good condition, continue or even up the product use (slowly)!! Don't worry, as you get used to listening to what your skin tells you, your confidence will grow and soon you will be trying products with the knowledge that you know your skin and it always tells you what it needs; you just need to be open to listening to it!! 😊

Niacinamide gives me spots!!
I've given it many chances but every time i use it (long term) i just end up with a breakout 🤷🏿♀️
Oh dang that sucks 😢 Wonder if it's the brand you're using? I started with first aid beauty niacinamide under eye brightener, and omgosh I love it and it has really made such a difference. I use peace out Acne products to cleanse and moisturize, and they pretty much all have niacinamide. I haven't had cystic acne since 2 months after starting their cleansing balm, acne serum, and moisturizer. I hope you find something that works for you!!!
@@chronicallykelly7193 I've tried different brands till the bottle is finished (I don't wanna waste my money and I want the zinc lol) then I was trying a cleanser and moisturiser from benefit, thought it was going ok but thinking this might not be working but I'll keep going, checked the ingredients properly and the moisturiser had niacinamide in 🤷🏿♀️
Especially with seborrheic dermatitis in full flare up in winter times it's hard to find the right stuff
Have you tried an Azelaic acid instead? Someone in UA-cam recommended that to me because Niacinamide is not compatible to my facial skin as well.
Do t use the 10%
@@SSSS-wq4vn I don't use it full stop lol. I tried a few times and gave it a few more chances cos of the zinc, but if its gonna cause me breakouts every time and I also have seborrheic dermatitis, I give up on that stuff
You should revise it to dirty enlarged pores. Pores cannot change closed or open. It’s only dirty or clean
Sir you are doing great job keep it up
Pile 2 I claim and receive the positivity of the message. Thank you God Goddess and Universe❤
खूप विचार करूनही शब्द सापडत नाहीत comment करायला .. खरंच अद्भूत आहात sir तुम्ही ...कथा ऐकताना वाटत atually त्याठिकांनी आहोत...Truly amazing!!!!Die❤fan of your incredible stories.. Hats off...🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I use a salicylic acid serum, and I moisturize with oils. I have used emu oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, vitamin E oil, and even squalane. Any oil. I also really love Skin Biology GHK copper peptide serum.
Doing so from 3 months , and working like magic, don't what will happen if i stop using.
💯 this works. I’ve done it. My pores and clear and small. They weren’t before.
Also a sulfur soap.
Which brand u r use for sulfur soap?
First and longest interview to watch from start to finish 👌🏾
You missed A LOT...
Only use acids at NIGHT and wear SUNSCREEN, DAILY and reapply!!! 😳
Thank you, Rachel. This is a crazy case.
I used to have smooth skin because of using niacinamide serum for 2 times a day then I got lazy about it and put only moisturizer, my pores and skin became bumpy like this. 😅
I’ve been using these for a month now.
Nothing changed.😂
It takes 4 months bro.
@@miakamei1751 Ahh. I’ll update in another 3 months then.😂
Do double cleansing every night before you use toner, serum & moisturizer. It's game changer for me.
@@notperfectbutstillbeautifu2077can u tell me step by step process….what to use first ?
@@Sandeepxd_
1. Oil cleanser (only at night)
2. Regular cleanser
3. Toner (hydrating ones 2X a day, exfoliatings are 2x-3x a week depending upon your skin tolerance)
4. Serum (niacinamide/Vitamin C or Hyaluronic acid depending on your needs)
5. Moisturiser
6. Sunscreen (only at day)
Cleanse, tone, and then moisturize!!
Textures yesss - but very, very clean❣️ Very nice clear - but textured - Skin without clogged Pores ✌🏼❣️🙏🏼
Great...
Thank u for this! I have found it helpful
Niacinamade and Salycic acid actually the best combination for textured skin
This guy's videos seriously make me feel self conscious
I tried this didnt work. Differin gel for night treatment works better and in the day i use vitamin c and a hydrating toner and moisturizer.
Products list plz 🙏🏾
But differin make purge ? Or not? I heard yea but I don’t know is true
A lot of people would love to have skin so clear that texturing were a problem.
i already do this for a long time. i saw no improvement in the texture or pore size
Woah the Somethinc brand is soo gowwdd ❤
Suggest no white cast matte sunscreen for brown skin... Please? No tinted.
Bondi Sands
I like Inness from Sephora very reasonably priced…sunscreen and moisturizer.
@@tinaandrews1597 you mean innisfree? I don't see anything with inness
@@VicToria-sd1dn but it is tinted. Anything without tinted? Transparent, matte finish and no white cast?

Thank you!! 💚
@@makeupnnailmaniac8220 lol
I get more compliments when I use an acid on my face the day after.
Can you please do a video for strawberry legs
Laser peels work wonders!
Sadly, my skin gets irritated when sing leave on face salicylic (toner, serum). But when I wash it off after 5-10mins, it works
I do all of this and have my whole life to no difference. My skin looks clean but I still have texture and open pores. Nothing can be done it’s genetics. Only lazer or phenol face peel will make a real difference
Add retinol as well (once a week)
TYFS, I actually do this ❤❤❤❤
orange skin is also a type skin there is no need to fix it because is perfect !! I am sure that an orange dosen't dream to be a peach
Ear lots of vitamin c guys I guarantee you
And seasonal fruit is game changer beacuse we are also made of 5 elements that's why we have to eat according to climate and fabulous changing happend in skin if you eat seasonal fruit and vegetable 👏👏 god bless you all ❤
Just be careful.
Use a ✨️ silly ✨️ toner 2 times a week
If I'm with a wonderful, kind and beautiful person..I could care less how big their pores are. Pores are how your skin breathes..and we need to love them for our health and well being!
I have this because of rosacea and use those products for about a year now and no difference
This is totally untrue. Salicylic acid is not at all good for dry skin. Also as someone who can tolerate most product, niacinamide is the only product that irritates my skin. Which is weird. In short, know your skin type before spending a fortune on skincare.
I didn't know Somethinc started selling overseas! Omg
even dry skin people have pores, so if they go on applying salicylic, their skin will break out and do more harm than good. please suggest for dry skin people too!!
What is the best niacinamide serum and salicylic acid tonet?
I have sensitive skin, very difficult to manage. The Niacinamide serum that has worked with excellent results is The Inkey List 10%. No terrible side effects. I get it from Amazon UK. I also use a facial steamer at least twice a week. I'm yet to get back on 0.25 Retin A. No prescription from OKDERMO. There, I just plugged you darling ❤😊
The best SA toner is the one in the video
Even if this is on your? When I was younger I always got teased that I look like a freshly plucked chicken and I have pretty big pores on my legs and I'm dark-haired so just yeah made for a wonderful childhood but is there a way that I can get rid of that strawberry skin on my legs?
Amlactin my love. It works.
My dermatologist told me to do a regular exfoliating routine using a body scrub & so far, it has been working pretty good for me. Just don't overdo it by getting too aggressive with the rubbing & use a mild scrub (small to medium size granules, nothing too course).
Cerave bumpy skin soap and lotion do wonders for me
Using a sulphur cleanser, and letting it sit on my face for a minute or 2 after scrubbing it, we'll scrubbing it gently of course since it's your face...
Its important to find a pure aloe gel, no alcohol or other addititives, or make your own
Can add it to shampoo body wash n get great results
NO NO!!! Best way is to go totally natural and use Organic Apple cider vinegar and after apply Raspberry seed oil!! 🌗🌗🙌
No, I have not this problem... My pores are so close that when as young I had a pimple I had to open with warm oil
@@christinas.-b.3820 Whats the percentage and brand of azelaic acid you use? Thanks!
I use Somethinc as well, it's kinda worked though
Damn and niacinamide made my skin worse 😭😭 I’m sensitive to it and just used a sunscreen with niacinamide and now my skin is breaking out but in a weird way… I seem to have more texture now 😭😭😭
Please tell me the solution for pigmentation on face
Try Dr. Vanita rattens Cera Pep brightening moisturizer
That’s my problem now… I actually have an appt tomorrow to see what I can do… I tried everything. Even Musely which did work but came back bc I stopped right away instead of tapering off but didn’t wanna keep using since you should only use a couple months at a time. But I’m thinking about IPL treatment than doing microneedling. Like I said I tried EVERYTHING!!!! Tretinoin, retinol, vit c, that’s expensive like Perricone, dr Dennis gross, drunk elephant, Sunday Riley, Strivectin, Murad, Shani Darden, Kate Somerville (I do swear by her Exfolikate) & more to the less expensive stuff like Korres, neutrogena, cera ve, derma E, juice beauty & more. I just stopped with buying everything & now just using Korean face products which in my opinion so much better. My mom always says less is more & she has almost no wrinkles & mid 60s (Korean). I’m only 75% so the 25% of me is struggling baddddddd!!! Sorry I went on a tangent but I’m so passionate about skincare these days. Btw I just commented on someone who wanted to know a good spf for melanin skin with no white cast & these days everyone says to wear spf esp if you don’t want any more hyperpigmentation… I would look into skin 1004 Hyalu-cica water fit sun serum… it’s spf 50+ PA ++++ it’s Korean on amazon a deal right now for $12+ usually $17. I promise you it feels like a light lotion. I never wore sunscreen til this bc of how it felt & the white cast but this stuff is chefs kiss. Try it, if you don’t like it return to amazon. I let everyone know about spf now and what I love since I hated spf for the longest
For me 10% niacinamide is too strong and irritates my skin if I use it everyday. Now I use 5% niacinamide every other day, and my skin texture looks better.
niacinamide is the ONLY face product i will swear on. its the only product that has actually made visible improvements to my face. it actually does reduce the sebum in your pores and makes your pores look smoother and smaller. i use the ordinary which is super cheap and works AMAZING.
my eczema that’s been on my face for 5 months now with absolutely no break and there is literally nothing i can wash with or put on my face except for water🥰🥰
All the things that are tending like drunk elephant bubble and glow recipe dont work but all the cheaper stuff does
Unfortunately I already tried to do this, along with using trying retinol, patches, glycolic acid, and anything else you could think of. I still struggle with the strawberry skin 😞
Strawberry skin is not large pores. Strawberry skin is caused by keratosis pilaris and is usually prominent on legs and arms and sometimes butt. I recommend cerave bumpy skin soap and lotion, it makes a world of difference for me!
Started using a doctor's suggestion "to moisturize" cream for 2 weeks and this happened. Stopped using this cream left my skin on its own and It went back to normal. Some doctors are just sellers with a degree
What product was the doctor’s suggestion?
Muka saya tak boleh tahan dengan niacinimide ... Pori makin besar
My skin will ONLY look like that if I do not wash an exfoliate on a daily basis
You only truly need to wash at night and exfoliate twice a week
Sit with the face over a boiling water pan, get a black pores exfoliating mask to pull out all the dirt from pores, wash it with cold water after you take it off, moisture it with lemon juice and calm the itch with a cube of ice. No fondation, no scrubbing it every dang day, let it breath, let your face live. No make up, no cosmetic creams. All I'm using is hilauronic acid after I wash my face in the mornings just with water. This is gonna be enough. Stop bothering, scrubbing, make-up-ing, washing it with detergents for face and put all kinds of chemical creams on it 24/7...its common sense. When your face breaks down, you have no skin left, u wish your butt skin to match it on your face...I'm 35 and don't have yet wrinkles and I'm beautiful as natural.
My pores reduced, i was using adaplen (differein gel) for Acne and black dots treatment and it actuallg worked, so yes this is possible to reduce the size of pores
I just smack my face with retinol and it's now been a week and my face is better now, visible to the naked eyes. Easier and cheap too. Just use one thing. I don't even use cleanser 🎉🎉🎉
Can't use them. Too painful.
This is natural
Pores are beautiful
I’m using both for a month and half
Honestly nothing has changed
Everything irritates my skin and makes my skin red even sensitive skin products, even just aloe vera 😢
Retinol too😊
You can use retinol instead
A brand called almond clear is good pricey but good only thing is you can only order it online but when I say I’m a person that buys a lot of skincare and never really impress almond clear does what it says the face wash is the best hope maybe this helps someone
