Hey everyone, Still in the coronavirus quarantine. The only upside to it is were getting lots done, and getting a chance to show you lots of content! If youv'e been around you know that weve been upgrading the braking system and making this car a real driver! One of or favorite upgrades is wheel studs. Heres why- IT MAKES WHEEL AND TIRE CHANGES EASY. Thats the main reason. Yes they are a better mounting solution as well, but making easy wheel changes is the big sell for us.
    - Some racing entities require wheel studs for the added confidence of wheel-to-hub contact.
    - In order to run spacers with wheel bolts, custom lengths are required for different spacer widths. so find the correct stud below!
    - Installing wheels also becomes easier. The wheel studs will act as a wheel hanger, while the nuts secure the wheel in place.
    - Wheel studs stay in the hub, which means you are no longer constantly removing and installing your wheel bolts. The benefit? Less wear on your wheel hubs, meaning less premature wear.
    INSTRUCTION IMPORTANT POINTS
    - So in the video you'll notice that we use blue loctite and not red. We don't plan to remove these however if one does break, we don't want to have to heat up the hub to get it out!
    - Concerning torque specs there is a lot of misinformation out there, i wont say any youtubers names, but you'll be able to spot them now. These misinformed influencers say to torque wheel studs to 100 ft lbs which is just plain IGNORANT and you're risking your wheel studs so don't do that. While others say just finger tight, because the lug nut will be pulling the wheel down tight against it While this is better than overdoing, it's still not perfect. Depending on the manufacturer, you will see recommendations for anywhere between 10- 15 ft lbs torque specs. Our wheel studs are to be torqued to 15nm or approximately 11 ft lbs. Making those 100 ft lber people a little ridiculous. When you go above the recommended, they begin to flex- NOT GOOD.
    WHEEL STUD LENGTH
When choosing wheel studs, make sure to order based on what length you need, this is really only a concern when you use Wheel spacers, in which case you'd need longer studs. We have stud kits for most applications below.
    FLASHY LUG NUTS
After wheel studs you'll need some lug nuts, we went with some flashy mishimotos. Below are kits with mishimoto lug-nuts that work well and look good! Or further down are kits that don't include the mishimoto lug-nuts and are more cost effective. WIth the lug-nuts, pay attention. There are 4 total nuts that are different sized and require the tool in the kit to remove. Check the sizes and install one of those on each wheel.
