I have a tip: put your car on a lift when your doing something else so the bots can’t attack your car.
@@LiterallyStuart at least it would take longer for them to get it so he can see that they are doing it so he can stop them before it is destroyed
Yes, the bots can attack the lift, but if the lift is floating, or on top of a rock, tree, or building, they won’t be able to reach it

I don't think a hitbox is enough, it could still be built like a real engine, avoiding collisions ... maybe they could have an energy requirement, that is they must be connected to an engine, whether it is gas or electric, and maybe the more advanced have various types of pressure generators (pneumatic, steam, hydraulic)
Predur maybe having some sort of electricity system introduced with batteries and generators so that things like pistons need to be hooked up to a battery.
ScrapMan: Make a piston engine car because it never uses fuel. Also, one you have all of the bots, you should move to that island because its near all types of biomes and only the tote bots can swim. Like so ScrapMan can see.

@@LIEFDEenHAAT They rarely give you component kits, he can find those in the chests under water and when he explores and he doesnt need scrap metal anymore when hes mining rocks. Besides he died to haybots so why would he want to have more.

everyone is saying this, but just to make sure you see this:
Piston powered engines don't use any fuel and are very strong. (meaning it can hold a lot of weight)
Also a suspension glitch vehicle
A_Benway_44 they fixed the suspension glitch im pretty sure. But that’s just my experience
@@foxvoid3929 suspension glitch works i always use it however it will still use gas and it will be slower the more weight you have on it thats why piston engines are good for resource collecters

I'd suggest you make something akin to Kan's car, where he had the piston engine. It'd take up a lot of space and would require a weld tool, but it'd remove the need for fuel
And provide mega torque so a mobile refinerie is plausible

In later stages of the game make a piston engine so you can carry heavy items (like a mobile refinery unit) and they don't use fuel.

My understanding is that the robots that have gone a bit... shall we say 'glitchy'... are the "authorized farmers" (hence the caged farmers he has to rescue and the no-bot signs outside the trade area, and the factor that they're 'farmbots'), however he also mentioned 9 and under plots apparently not triggering bot raids (mechanically, probably for early game, and lore/story fluff reason could be that it counts as "gardening" rather than "farming" at that point).
If you have less than 9 plots then you have authorized farming fam.

Hey Scrapman!
I saw you struggling last episode with a few things. So I might as well give some tips to you (no offense). You might know these, but here they are.
1 Use piston powered cars. These are very powerful, and use 0 fuel. I got this idea from Kan. Go check out his video on his channel to get an example.
2. Use a lift to elevate your car when being attacked. This helps theoretically avoid damage.
3. If you can, using toilet seats, climb up the base and make a elevated farm. This way, you can focus on raids instead of protecting the farm.
4. Place a bed in your car. This way, you can spawn in your car, and can find stuff you lose easily after you die.
5. Always carry water. I mean, it's water! It can be used to stun bots.
6. Avoid the big boss. This guy can inflict damage so much, that he takes half health away with one strike. So unless you have a saw blade, don't try killing him. Anyways, he only drops 3 items plus metal.
7. Use caged farmers at the trading Post for stuff at the post.
8. Make a base as stranded, protective and secret as possible. That way, you can kill off more farm bots using spud bomb cannons, or mines

Just like everyone else said, make a piston engine car. Its literally infinite fuel. So if you need a good car with just straight torque and power that's doesn't use fuel make a piston engine. Also I thought of an ingenius way to defend your farm using only a piston engine. Make a single engine in the middle of the farm, the hook up a bunch of saw blades to the outside, all the farmbots that run into them will die. No fuel. And easy defense

He made it from concrete for durability, but fuel efficiency wont matter if he makes piston engines.
The looting vehicle should be light on the base so that the engines only have to worrying about carrying the chest weight

His problem is transport. That is likely why he hasn't done it yet.
Good idea though.
I've found that there's technically 4 vehicle types that are most beneficial with a 5th and 6th optional type included.
1. Resource Grinder (drilling, sawing, or both)
2. Resource Collecting (while you can put on a refining bot onto this I don't due to the sheer amount of weight those things have. New updates will have you add vacuum pumps to suck up pigment flowers, cotton, and corn now.)
3. Exploration/Fast Mover (Gets you from Point A to Point B while zipping through C, D, and E simultaneously.)
4. Heavy Hauler (Something built with more than enough power and is sturdy enough to take your packed crates from the stations to the trader and not get bogged down.)
5. Combat vehicle (be it with saws and drills, a spud gun turret, or simply a lot of mass; but something that you could jump in and feel safe in and feel safe going on the attack while being attacked.)
6. Flyer (If you can make it happen and afford it, it's beautiful. If you can't then it becomes painful. Not the not having it, the trying to make it work.)
Funny enough, I've doubled up my heavy hauler as a combat vehicle and my explorer as another combat vehicle. It's very satisfying to sideswipe a haybot and it either explodes on impact or gets yeeted into the trees.

Tip: To get water efficiently use a tube suction, place a tube on the top and place a water container and make sure its on the surface of the water and don't forget to hook it up to a switch.
HYPE SURVIVAL UPDATE DROPS TOMORROW FOR EVERYONE
i can't wait for release tommorow, i am so excited to get my friends together and start building a mega raft kind of base wich is mobile. It's gonna be unique, i also thought about having walls with like every 5 block appart a saw blade in between activated with sensors so when farmbots come near they get shreded instantly, that could be our land base for farming as you need lots of defence against those damn anoying bots. I also wonder if when you farm every night for a very long time if those big scythe boss type bots also attack you farm because that would be terrifying.

If you make a mobile base then i recommend building it on top of a building ScrapMan’s home is the best place to build on top of it it’s unbreakable and very high you will be completely safe against any kind of bots
The one friend I have that can play doesn’t like scrap mechanic and this might get them to play hopefully

Scrapman, you should really invest your money in a spud gun, the hammer just isn’t cutting it, and it’s not that hard to get one.
But you can’t craft a spud gun. You have to trade stuff to the farmer guy in his keep out base and I don’t think scrap man has the right trades the farmer wants.

The small whip bots are repelled by their heads, thats why it ran away!
ScrapMan you can use the vacuum pump to put water into water containers, both found in the craft bot. Each water container has 5 slots for water, so you can connect them to a chest. It gives about a water every second.
You should use piston engines, I'm guessing they use no fuel.
When u r about to fight the farmbots put ur vehicle on a lift and raise it to the top so ur vehicle won't get damaged by the farmbots.
And u can make a piston engine instead. So no fuel needed to travel.

Edit: Also, whole ragdol thing depends on level of seat, so this is that.
He made it with concrete to make sure it is strong cuz the vehicle is already really small and engine power required is also less so i think it was a the right thing to do

@@Alan-lo7gd If he wanted to make it beter handle, he would use concreat, it is true, but just for lower part of wehicle to lower it center of mass. It is to heavy so it will likely to burn gas like crazy.

Also if he wanted something more strong in armor department he would rather use metal( it actualy is harder then concreat on each tier and easier to get hold on).
Main reason for using concreat is mass managment, and base building, as it is cheap as base material and looks nice if used that way.

Use a hammer to break down the smaller/level 3, 2, and 1 rocks. Level 1 is the beams, level 2 is the casing for the beams, and level 3 is the two beam casings together.

The ragdoll problem is because the collision of the seat is a box and when something falls on you you become a ragdoll so when you jump out of the vehicle AND you drive fast you hit the collision box off the seat and then you become a ragdoll. I know it because it was a problem in one of my games.

Make a vacuum pipe and put it in the water then connect a water container and/or hook up a big chest to make infinite water. And it automatically creates water canister without needing to feed it anything
Scrapman, try removing the extra blocks in front of the seat so that its levelled.
Edit: Diesel got the large chest in front of his seat and it doesn't happen to him. I'm confused now. Still worth a try?

Tomorrow is the day, the day we have been waiting for, 4 years.
Ok so here’s one help, A really easy way to get water is by connecting a vacuum pump to the water, so it’s touching it, and connecting the other side to a container. What will happen is water gets transported to that pump and it comes in loads. It’s a way better method than filling buckets up with water. It’s way faster and more efficient than getting buckets of water. Also you can connect a pipe to your farm and if you have a water cannon it waters your crops.

You can scavenge just the entrance of the warehouses for controllers, they may be useful

From what I understand, crops can only be done on the ground, they cannot be put on buildings ...
I also noticed that there are rock formations isolated and rather steep, enough not to be able to be climbed by robots, but with sufficient space to plant at least 10/15 (or even more) crops and to be able to build on a sort of base on stilts, finding one close to a source of water and checking if it can be grown above it would be good to evaluate the idea of placing a base on it, if everything works it would be practically unassailable!
You can make a piston powered veicle... no gas consuming by now, maybe the put some fixes in later version

i love these survival episodes
If you're going for a mobile refinery, you gotta make it a piston powered vehicle to avoid that high fuel usage and to have basically endless torque for such a heavy machine. kAN did it with his mining rig, and it works well if you ignore the gear slip at higher masses. Though as a mobile refinery you can afford to use larger cogs with power input from above to the differential to get that nice ground clearance.
Waves increase in difficulty as the nights go. Save up seeds and stuff and farm a lot of crops all at once instead of consecutive nights
Add arms with drills on the side of the resource vehicle so you can drill stone easier and quicker.
I think my boy scrapman is the only person playing this game who doesn't ever pay attention to the night time raids lol. Also you can hit the hay piles in the buildings you find BTW. For more loot.
You can pump water with a vacuum pump and pipe it gives you free water!!!! Btw you also need a water tank.
