Tip: if you don’t want to fight off raids, you can make your farm inside the stone. 1. You can use toilet seats to glitch in and out of the stone. Bots can’t break into the stone and will just run off in the morning. 2. In order to water the soil, you will need to make a wooden(or any other cheap material) pipeline from your water container to the water cannon that is facing downwards. This way it will refill your bucket if you stand beneath it. 3. Enjoy not having to come back to your farm every 24 minutes.
Tip: always leave 3 or 4 fuel canisters in your CHEST in the car, so if you don't keep track of fuel and you run out of it, you can get back home easily with these canisters.
When you die and you have one in your inventory, it automatically goes into your mouth and you can eat it, and it revives you where you’re standing. I don’t know what you are talking about, the baguette only revives you and you can feed it to your friends to revive them. You cannot use it like you would a burger. Trust me, it is very efficient and worth your time.
Another tip for you: When the farmbot raid is done but you dont have enough space in your inventory to pick up your crops in time before another one gets announced, you can hit the crops with your hammer. The not full-grown crops will be destroyed but the full-grown ones will drop the fruit as well as seeds. That way you can pick them up after 5 am without having to do a raid for nothing!
Tip: when moving a lot of material ‘rods’ place them on each other as a loose item (not welded to the ground) and you can use your weld tool to carry them all at once, while sprinting

Day 7 of the scrapman baking show Today we will make brownies Ingredients: For 24 brownies 2 ½ sticks unsalted butter, plus more, softened, for greasing 8 oz good-quality semisweet chocolate, or bittersweet chocolate, 60-70% cacao, roughly chopped ¾ cup unsweetened dutch process cocoa powder, divided 1 tablespoon espresso powder 2 cups nulated sugar ½ cup dark brown sugar, packed 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 teaspoons kosher salt 6 large eggs 1 cup all-purpose flour flaky sea salt, for sprinkling Instructions Grease a 9x13-inch (23x33-cm) dark metal pan with softened butter, then line with parchment paper, leaving overhang on all sides. Grease the parchment with softened butter. Combine the chopped chocolate, ¼ cup (30 g) of cocoa powder, and espresso powder in a heatproof liquid measuring cup or medium bowl and set aside. Add the butter to a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until the butter just comes to a vigorous simmer, about 5 minutes, swirling the pan occasionally. Immediately pour the hot butter over the chocolate mixture and let sit for 2 minutes. Whisk until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted, then set aside. Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and eggs in a large bowl. Beat with an electric hand mixer on high speed until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes. It will be similar to the texture of very thick pancake batter. With the mixer on, pour in the slightly cooled chocolate and butter mixture and blend until smooth. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350°F (180°C). Sift in the flour and remaining cocoa powder and use a rubber spatula to gently fold until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake until lightly puffed on top, about 20 minutes. Remove the baking pan from the oven using oven mitts or kitchen towels, then lightly drop the pan on a flat surface 1-2 times until the brownies deflate slightly. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Return the pan to the oven and bake until a wooden skewer inserted into the center of the brownies comes out fudgy but the edges look cooked through, about 20 minutes more. The center of the brownies will seem under-baked, but the brownies will continue to set as they cool. Set the brownies on a cooling rack and cool completely in the pan. Use the parchment paper to lift the cooled brownies out of the pan. Cut into 24 bars and serve immediately. Have a good day
Tip: if you are going to the warehouse, bring some burgers with you. If you get hit, you can eat the burger and it will instantly replenish all 3 bars (health, hunger and water) to 100%.
I got one for you: sometimes when using the spudgun you can find yourself walking at speed you get when you aim with it and unable to run. I believe this could happen if you get ragdolled while aiming? When that happens whenever you pick the spudgun in your hands - even without aiming - you'll walk as slow as if you were aiming. To get out of that situation simply aim once with it and you'll be able to run again.
No. with E you have to tap tap tap so it takes way longer than just switching to a sledgehammer and holding right-click and sweeping. It takes me about 1.5 seconds (conservative estimate) to pick up 26 crops. How long does it take tapping E on each one? E is fine for picking up 1 or 2 items, beyond that it's faster to switch and sweep.
30:20 Blasting through the ember, In a sawblade scouting car, O'er the fields we go, Laughing all the way, Totebot heads go flying, Haybots pale at the sight, What fun it is to ride and sing, A grinding song tonight, HAY!
I built my base in one of the mountains , Bots cannot reach it :D I still need to build a bridge like you did to park the car into a platform midway to the top. The ground is in a slope , So I built a monorail powered by a controller and bearings , the monoriel basquet contains the water pumps etc. So I can farm everything , Ended up using less components than in my previous layouts
Another life hack I found: It works with every crops, but better with high tier crops, like pineapple or broccoli. So the thing is you wanna plant like one tomato (low tier crop) before the unauthorized farming detected and after the message plant your higher tier crops, and the raid is going to include like 1 or 2 Greenies or haybots, NOT the boss or tapebot. I tried it and worked!!
Thank you! I just DL'd this game about a week ago and have been trying to learn on my own. But now I'm ready to learn some tips/tricks and you've been very helpful!
Life hacks that I use: when you die you leave a inventory bag with a death beacon, if you have a single non tool item you can die and leave a beacon that you can see from an infinite distance so you will never get lost
i have two tips, the first one is, if you're sneaking up to a haybot, place your lift underneath them and the go flying in ragdoll mode. the second tip is to improve your ember harvesting trick, instead of switching to your hammer and using RMB to pick up items, you can use E to pick up items without having to swith to your hammer.
Here's my tip: When it comes to farming, you can have nine plots of the starter crops (Carrots, Beets or Tomatoes) or six of potatoes without triggering a raid. But, you can have multiple sets of farms as long as they are 256 blocks (a full stack) away from each other. So if you have a plot of nine carrots, you can have another plot of nine beets and then another of nine Tomatoes as long as the they separated by at least 256 blocks without there being a raid. Although you still have to deal with the wondering bots.
Tip: instead of right clicking to harvest crops, use 'E', that way you can't accidentally pickup soil, lamps, etc. This also applies to things like cotton, oil, dropped items, etc. This also allows you to pick up items with a gun in hand.
Lmao u didn’t understand the tip. The goal is to HOLD the right mouse click so u DON’T have to SPAM ‘E’ because spamming it is really annoying sometimes
3:20 And on this point, if you ever have an object you cannot place down, hold F and you’ll be able to place it down, this is also handy if you want to place food on a table
One thing i found helpful if you want to place a item that dosent show you a outline to place like the bucket, hold F and it gives you the outline to place the item. This works for soil if you want to place bags on the grass too.
As an early way to beacon, You can die inside of your base, And your bag will drop. Leave 1 item inside of the bag and the marker will stay there. So you can easily locate your base.
when moving things that you have to hold over your sholder you can sit in the seat of your car then put your mouse over the item you wish to pick p then yo can right click it and itl be on your shoulder as your drive your car

Small tip that saved me a lot of time once I did it. With each vehicle you make, ensure the floor of the vehicle is heavier than the top. I typically build my vehicles from wood with a concrete floor and it helps with stability greatly. Not a super hack, but handy nonetheless
Shotgun harvesting, eh? Almost sounds like a theme from some hillbilly movie :) But yes, seems pretty effective, as long as you have ammo with you. TIP as well - keep some lone useless item in your inventory, then die at or in middle of your base and leave that item in your bag. Boom, now you have a beacon to follow, will always know which way is home.
Scrap man, I have a suggestion for your castle. Add some turrets at the top of the castle. That uses sensors, and only shoots when you turn a switch on.
Regarding the holding right click to pick up crops and other stuff, you can use E too. The advantage is that you won't accidentally pick up soil or break parts of your farm
It is really rare that you would need something that maxes out everything. Mostly you only have low thirst or hunger or so. And one burger costs a bit too much to just eat it for a single health fill. Just my opinion, tho.
Always a good idea to have at least one emergency burger if you don’t have a bed. Saved my scales when I challenged the “big red scythe wielding murder bot with spider legs and a chemical cannon” before I had a spudgun.
Really helpful. Middle mouse click to half stuff is my favorite. When approaching a large ruin, walk all around the building from some distance to lure the haybots out 1 or 2 at a time so you don't need to deal with 3 or 4 at once. Die at your base and leave one item in the bag so it will act as a wayfinder, though the icon will disappear if you venture out too far. And check out the SM Wiki. It has lots of useful info, especially about farming and raids.
The horizontal way of stopping bots is acutally something I've used too in my video. I've actually placed horizontal beams every 3 blocks which saves me even more blocks. Bots can't get in between the 2 beams (2 free bots) and I'm still able to walk on them to shoot them. So as you mentioned they need to break through 5 blocks like that before they even reach the border of my farming area. Kinda like the ember farming technique but I'm not at the Shotgun mid game part yet,. Great job on the tips !
Here is a bunch of tips: 1, when grinding some people might watch yt but then you either forget about the vid and end up watching it again or you just forget about the grind instead put up a new tab and listen to music 2, when harvesting or swinging your gamer constantly press alt+tab to change to a new tab you will understand what I mean then tab back to scrap and your character will continue to harvest without pressing E 3, when carrying a bot or a chest with items left click to drop and put it on the lift because then you run in normal speed without having to do what scrapman did but don’t change what’s in your hot bar because then you’ll have to go back and grab it again 4, build a farm with crushers on each side to kill bots automatic each raid and it is fully afkable for scrap farm 5, when building a new base I use a paint program to paint a plan for the bad and I then design each and every building in creative first 6, if you don’t want raids build your farm on smaller islands located all over the map (I found one close to the wrench) and bots can’t spawn in the water
18:41 You can actually move the chests/craftbots with your lift. use your lift to take it off of the ground and then just move it with your lift like you would with a car.
Hey remember the wall thing in the last two room the one room is the loot room and the other room is blocked off try putting a bomb in the congkrit i mean in your lift you can put your lift in the werehouse look at comodos vid he just put his lift in the werehouse soo ya try that becuse i have no scrapmakanic bucuse i dont have no money to bay it (Srry for wrong spelling scrap man or other poeple)
I haven't tried this because I don't have the game, but I noticed that you carried your car with chests that had stuff in it, and there was no speed penalty. So MAYBE, if you put a block on a chest and pick it up with a lift instead of carrying it on its own, you might be able to carry a chest (with things in it of course) without a speed penalty. Just a guess. If you read this ScrapMan, thank you for all the entertainment you brought to us (Thanks to your friends also).
i had another little trick that i used once or twice. It may be fixed now but when i tried it it still worked. I always carried a chest with me and when i was going to die far away from my bed i would unload everything into the chest and carry it. If you die while carrying it or anything else you carry on your shoulder you will wake up with it in your bed.
Empty out the large loot chests (the big non-breakable ones) in the buildings, else nothing will respawn in them...if you don't need what's in them, just drop it on the ground by simply dragging the item out of your inventory. If you can build a drill but not yet a vehicle, simply put the drill bit on the lift then remove the lift. You can smack it into a rock with the sledgehammer to get metal and stone. In early game plant your crops as close to the water as the game will allow...then water them by taking your bucket all the way into the water, point towards your crops and spam the mouse button (it will re-fill automatically if you're deep enough). Works on bots too :) Also new idea for sensors on your catapult traps: Put the sensor where it can sense the weight on the trap instead. Might have to add suspension for more effectiveness, not sure. You can also make a wall that senses when it's being attacked in a similar manner, then crush the bot or something. I know you're not into modding Survival Mode, ScrapMan (at least not yet) but I have a few mods that don't change the functionality too much that you may approve of, if not now then later. They include removing the non-collidable trees, making corn non-collidable but still harvestable with the hammer, and adding a vacuum T-pipe to make what you talked about at 20:00 easier. You may find them here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2104768903
Depends on crop type. Broccoli and Pineapple will ALWAYS trigger a raid. RedBeet, Tomato, and Carrot have value of 1. Potatoes have value of 1.5. Orange, Banana, and Blueberry have value of 2. Farm with total crop value of 10 or higher triggers raid. For multiple small farms, the gap distance needs to be 256 blocks.
@@roguewolfproduction3819 Yeah, I was just about to say that. There's a chart in the scrap mechanic wiki that shows you exactly how much each of the crops are worth and which bots show up depending on the sum of those values and how many consecutive nights you planted. (For those who try and find this chart is in under survival/farming category)
I think raids have a cooldown, aka if you plant crops at 12AM, you will not get another counter at 5AM, but if you planted at 3AM, you will get a counter at 5AM. Another tip would be understanding raid mechanics: you can get up to 9 extra crops without a penalty. You could also grow small quantities of high level crops without penalty.
Your love for your Cookbot gives me an idea... Make him a kitchen that he can move around on... Pistons to move him back and forth, make him look like he's working at a stove, going to a fridge, etc... Pivots to turn him around... Controller with a long enough program to make it look random.... 👨🏼🍳

3. Enjoy not having to come back to your farm every 24 minutes.

No. with E you have to tap tap tap so it takes way longer than just switching to a sledgehammer and holding right-click and sweeping. It takes me about 1.5 seconds (conservative estimate) to pick up 26 crops. How long does it take tapping E on each one? E is fine for picking up 1 or 2 items, beyond that it's faster to switch and sweep.

In a sawblade scouting car,
O'er the fields we go,
Laughing all the way,
Totebot heads go flying,
Haybots pale at the sight,
What fun it is to ride and sing,
A grinding song tonight,
HAY!

Scrapman: I'm not going to tell you that to get into a warehouse, you need a key that you get from killing the farmbots.
me: ummm....
Me: you just did…
Scrapman you just thought of the best MP monday game, greenie shooting when they are flying :D
Now you can but when you commented bots were not in creative mode
I built my base in one of the mountains , Bots cannot reach it :D
I still need to build a bridge like you did to park the car into a platform midway to the top.
I forgot he moved his base and I was so confused with the building in front of his farm
When Scrapman doesn't post SMS for 2 days:

Lol
If you enter into a werehouse the beacon in the world can dissapear until you are near again
Yes I would love that
@@Daewid Its because each elevator-floor of the big warehouses is technically a whole different world.
Between you and Kan I bought scrap mechanic and I've loved it
Pick up resource collectors and haybot legs with a lift, you can run while holding it
You can’t put scrap legs on the lift
@@beefjerky3950 I think you can after you put it down with right click
i have two tips, the first one is, if you're sneaking up to a haybot, place your lift underneath them and the go flying in ragdoll mode. the second tip is to improve your ember harvesting trick, instead of switching to your hammer and using RMB to pick up items, you can use E to pick up items without having to swith to your hammer.
I find it great that he can just talk casually while being attacked because he just knows he can handle it.
Everyone:
calls it a boss bot
Scrap mechanic:
WHY ARE THEY CALLING IT BOSS BOT ITS CALLED RED BIG BOI
Nesrin Varghese except scrap mechanic actually calls it "farmbot"
Red boi
@@Lumiobyte I believe that's the term for all of the bots?
Nesrin Varghesi get your joke but it honestly isn’t that funny /:
Red big boi isn’t so Hilarious Xd
I’m giving a like anyway
Tip: instead of right clicking to harvest crops, use 'E', that way you can't accidentally pickup soil, lamps, etc. This also applies to things like cotton, oil, dropped items, etc. This also allows you to pick up items with a gun in hand.
Lmao u didn’t understand the tip. The goal is to HOLD the right mouse click so u DON’T have to SPAM ‘E’ because spamming it is really annoying sometimes
I finally cracked your upload schedule!
How tho?
What is it
Isn’t it the same time every day?

- Scrapman 2020
One thing i found helpful if you want to place a item that dosent show you a outline to place like the bucket, hold F and it gives you the outline to place the item. This works for soil if you want to place bags on the grass too.
Yea i found it early in today
Scrapman: doesn’t have anything to do
Also Scrapman: make a tips and tricks vid for one of his SMS Episode
Edit: Me: kinda smart actually...
As an early way to beacon, You can die inside of your base, And your bag will drop. Leave 1 item inside of the bag and the marker will stay there. So you can easily locate your base.
Tip: Watch Scrap man and others like him when you don't know crap....lol

Tip: watch scrap mechanic youtubers even though you don’t have the game
The video: Best tips ant tricks for scrap mechanic!
Scrap man: get the cook bot because it is cute
Tip: Use "E" to pick up loot when you have a spud gun pulled out so you don't have to switch to another item slot.
when moving things that you have to hold over your sholder you can sit in the seat of your car then put your mouse over the item you wish to pick p then yo can right click it and itl be on your shoulder as your drive your car

Small tip that saved me a lot of time once I did it.
With each vehicle you make, ensure the floor of the vehicle is heavier than the top. I typically build my vehicles from wood with a concrete floor and it helps with stability greatly.
Not a super hack, but handy nonetheless
I feel like that Scrapman is the person that haves a unpainted block and a raid is coming he just have to paint it
Shotgun harvesting, eh? Almost sounds like a theme from some hillbilly movie :) But yes, seems pretty effective, as long as you have ammo with you. TIP as well - keep some lone useless item in your inventory, then die at or in middle of your base and leave that item in your bag. Boom, now you have a beacon to follow, will always know which way is home.
So dead simple (pun indeed), yet no one use it

probably already said by someone, but Life hack: use controllers to power bearings instead of engins so you dont need any fuel.
10 seconds in, a quick look at your base and You earned a sub. The crenellations, the machicolations!!! ❤️
Scrap man, I have a suggestion for your castle. Add some turrets at the top of the castle. That uses sensors, and only shoots when you turn a switch on.
Wont work. Haybots tend to avoid sensors but works on greenies
@@Tohkaaa Not always, try checking out dieseldesign's video. His turrets fire at them even they are scared of it
But I'm not sure 😂😁

None of these tips were useful to me since i don't have the game, i just love watching your videos
the tier 3 metal, concrete and wood are blast proof (anything that has more than 5 durability; 5 durability is not blast proof)
Thanks
Regarding the holding right click to pick up crops and other stuff, you can use E too. The advantage is that you won't accidentally pick up soil or break parts of your farm
Unfortunately, you can't hold E so you have to keep mashing it which kinda negates the point of it being don't quickly by holding the button.
15:46 - Food that fills hunger, thirst, and health to 100% is "pretty decent".
Also looping the chests into the craft bot is a big time saver. Good one to mention for sure
i think everyone is forgeting the main part of the game. *fixing the ship.*

Literally descovered the game 3 days ago, so I found every tip super useful 😅👍
I like how you referred to the bots as **people**
Bots have lives too you know
They are robot and have robot stuff so not sure about people
Really helpful.
Life lesson with scrapman.
Here is a bunch of tips:
1, when grinding some people might watch yt but then you either forget about the vid and end up watching it again or you just forget about the grind instead put up a new tab and listen to music
2, when harvesting or swinging your gamer constantly press alt+tab to change to a new tab you will understand what I mean then tab back to scrap and your character will continue to harvest without pressing E
3, when carrying a bot or a chest with items left click to drop and put it on the lift because then you run in normal speed without having to do what scrapman did but don’t change what’s in your hot bar because then you’ll have to go back and grab it again
4, build a farm with crushers on each side to kill bots automatic each raid and it is fully afkable for scrap farm
5, when building a new base I use a paint program to paint a plan for the bad and I then design each and every building in creative first
6, if you don’t want raids build your farm on smaller islands located all over the map (I found one close to the wrench) and bots can’t spawn in the water
18:41 You can actually move the chests/craftbots with your lift. use your lift to take it off of the ground and then just move it with your lift like you would with a car.
I have a "macro" for refining on my keyboard. It just holds down the buton
omg i have been spamming the toiled to the ground all this time. So smart ScrapMan. Put it on a lift. Genius
Hey remember the wall thing in the last two room the one room is the loot room and the other room is blocked off try putting a bomb in the congkrit i mean in your lift you can put your lift in the werehouse look at comodos vid he just put his lift in the werehouse soo ya try that becuse i have no scrapmakanic bucuse i dont have no money to bay it
(Srry for wrong spelling scrap man or other poeple)
Do you mean the incryter?
?
Its okay
@@crusadingdoomguy649 Encrypter, but he means the concrete wall
I haven't tried this because I don't have the game, but I noticed that you carried your car with chests that had stuff in it, and there was no speed penalty. So MAYBE, if you put a block on a chest and pick it up with a lift instead of carrying it on its own, you might be able to carry a chest (with things in it of course) without a speed penalty. Just a guess. If you read this ScrapMan, thank you for all the entertainment you brought to us (Thanks to your friends also).
But why a toilet...couldn't it also be a regular seat?
i had another little trick that i used once or twice. It may be fixed now but when i tried it it still worked. I always carried a chest with me and when i was going to die far away from my bed i would unload everything into the chest and carry it. If you die while carrying it or anything else you carry on your shoulder you will wake up with it in your bed.
why haven't you gon into the rusty tower yet?
Daniel Gradinariu rusty tower? In front his base? He has, they all same, bots loot that’s it...

Fun fact: 9 crops won’t get raided, but 10 crops or more will get a raid
?
Depends on crop type.
Broccoli and Pineapple will ALWAYS trigger a raid.
RedBeet, Tomato, and Carrot have value of 1.
Potatoes have value of 1.5.
Orange, Banana, and Blueberry have value of 2.
Farm with total crop value of 10 or higher triggers raid.
For multiple small farms, the gap distance needs to be 256 blocks.
Ew
only 9 basic crops won't trigger a raid, but if you plant either broccoli or pineapple , they trigger a raid if you have 5 or more of them
@@roguewolfproduction3819 Yeah, I was just about to say that. There's a chart in the scrap mechanic wiki that shows you exactly how much each of the crops are worth and which bots show up depending on the sum of those values and how many consecutive nights you planted. (For those who try and find this chart is in under survival/farming category)
To fix the catapults, try to cover sensors more. Haybots avoid sensors they have direct line of sight to.
Who else thought its a new episode of sms progress of scrapman
I think raids have a cooldown, aka if you plant crops at 12AM, you will not get another counter at 5AM, but if you planted at 3AM, you will get a counter at 5AM.
Another tip would be understanding raid mechanics: you can get up to 9 extra crops without a penalty. You could also grow small quantities of high level crops without penalty.
