  • It seemed like a simple install. Unplug the old light bar and drop in the new one right? Nope The Heretic Studios Light bar produces so much light that the demand for power is almost double my previous light bar! Im looking forward to re wiring the truck for some proper lights made in the USA! Check Out www.hereticstudio.com/ for moe details on the lights.

These heretic studio lights are great, they actually use the power they say they do, output stated lumens, and don’t have any of the weird issues crappy lights have. Uniform color temperature and insane throw, no water ingress. I left one running for three hours straight while stationary, and it was able to thermoregulate in 90* ambient without an issue.

I actually turned down a sponsorship from Baja designs for Heretic because I believe so strongly in what they are doing and the product they are offering. Both are fantastic lights and both offer outstanding innovative designs but I personally want to see Heretic Studio make it big rather than support another massive corporation that doesnt really need help. I genuinely feel they are going to upset the market and create demand for higher quality products made in the USA once their name gets out. ...Those little pods aren't 100w. And I'm sure the big light bar is way more than 100w because the 20" Heretic lightbar I'm putting on my ATV is 120w, and you'res is much larger.... The little pods (BA-2) use two 6W LEDs each, and are 12w powered to 100%... If those little pods were 100W, even if each led was only 50w to make 100w for the pair of LEDs in each pod, you would probably only be able to leave them turned on for 15 seconds. That would be a ridiculous amount of power in such a small little package, I don't even think it's possible. I know they do make super high watt LEDs, but they are the COB style leds, where it's a series of smaller diodes within a single LED, and the LED itself is 1"-2" wide.... They are beefy, BRIGHT ass LEDs and require a really good heat sink... I think someone fashioned himself up an LED lightbar out of those ultra high wattage LEDs, like 6-10 of them if I recall correctly and it was freaking insane.. He was basically able to illuminate the entire side of a mountain like it was daylight, lol.... Anyways, those Heretic lights seem to be really quality stuff. I can't wait to get my ATV outfitted with some. I could definitely use better lighting at night.... Best of luck!
