When Lor-Zod starts to bring up the inspiration behind the Legion of Superheroes and knowing how things have played out in this season, also taking into account of what happened on Mars. I couldn’t help but smile when he says "And this Legion. Who do you think inspired it’s very existence?". Knowing full well on Conner’s current predicament right know. I still couldn’t help getting satisfaction from Lor-Zod’s anger towards Superboy, seeing as how he’s also a member of the family El and inspired the Legion.

This season shine's brightest when it focuses on the story like this. Seeing this episode and the plan unfold felt so satisfying cause it felt like a payoff I was waiting for the whole season and gave me the answers I wanted but then left me asking more questions

Different universe. This Zod attempted a coup attempt before anyone knew that Krypton was going to get destroyed (sun exploding). The episode after this, after Zod found out how Krypton was destroyed (which he first presumed to have been by an invasion by other Galactic Powers, like New Genesis and the Green Lantern Corps, interestingly), he even called out the irony that despite Jor El finding out that the sun was going to explode, that he was only able to save his son Kal El because no one on Krypton believed him, which is what basically happened to Zod's coup attempt to 'save' Krypton as well.

But yes, the motives for why he committed the coup are lacking at best. Still, (military) dictators in our world show basically the same line of thinking as Zod. Think of Hitler who thought invading other nations would save Germany as example.
I'm glad they didn't follow that route, I always hated how some media tried to tie Zod into Krpton's destruction, when in reality it should be a cautionary tale about climatic change, exploitation of resources and how nature will destroy everything if the society is not aware of the damage they're doing to the planet, no matter how technologically advanced they are or how much they think of themselves as gods

Say what you will about moments like this, but to me, they're my favorite parts in the series, the action isn't bad, don't get me wrong, however I love world building aspects in series, it builds a deeper connection and bond to said world, look at One Piece for example, most of the fights are really great, however to me, the past of it's world is so intruiging to me, it helps to understand how the world works and how the inhabitants think and why that is, lets pick an example here that has yet to be explained: 900 years ago prior to the events we see started a century that became known as the Void Century, it's a period in history shrouded in mystery as there are no records of what happened in those 100 years... or is there? There are indestructable stones that have information about that period, nobody can read them and yet the World Government has prohibited the research of that period in time, who knows what they're really hiding from the world with that ban on the study of that era, to me it's more interesting than the upcoming fights as we will yet again get a deeper understanding of that world and I'm all for it
So the distraction in Kryptonite is different in Young Justice. It wasn’t the cause of their planet’s core or Braniac. It was the explosion of their red sun. Very different indeed
also like how bart was not erased when he changed the timeline its likely lor zod would not be erased too & those in the phantom zone may also be unaffected by the changes so it would not be particularly helpful

This Lor Zodd is so annoying. Also. In an alternate, possibly original, story arc. He was actually discovered by Superman while in the phantom zone, adopted him, and was raised by Lois and Clark, naming him Christopher Kent. It was discovered until later that he was Lor Zodd, the son of General Dru Zodd. Despite learning of his biological parents he chose to stay and be with Lois and Clark and would eventually go by the name Nightwing, which was the name of a god in the Book of Rao. That's right everyone. Dick's superhero name is based on Superman.

He was actually discovered by Superman while in the phantom zone, adopted him, and was raised by Lois and Clark, naming him Christopher Kent. It was discovered until later that he was Lor Zodd, the son of General Dru Zodd. Despite learning of his biological parents he chose to stay and be with Lois and Clark and would eventually go by the name Nightwing, which was the name of a god in the Book of Rao. That's right everyone. Dick's superhero name is based on Superman.
