Mine came with two that were exactly the same, pretty sure their factory. Haven’t shot it yet, had to get ready for work but I wasn’t leaving without it.
great gun I have 2 learned from my second one if you put the guide rod spring on wrong it will be a bugger to take the slide off the smaller end has to be on the guide at the cap if you put the larger end on first it will bind up a bit trying to take the slide off its slightly wider than the cap just enough to a problem taking the slide off. Took me some time working on the frame before a I realized what it was Ps I think it was given up over the problem and for that a got a great deal
It looks really clean. Was this model ever issued to LE? I had to spend hours taking the gunk out of an LE trade-in S&W. Great find and thank you for sharing it with us.
The P89 is a VERY reliable firearm that is very accurate if one knows how to shoot. Wished Ruger still made them.

The only law enforcement departments that had these was federal bureau of prisons and San Diego PD and Wisconsin state troopers.
I used to clean carpets at the airport and mine came from a cop that worked there at night.
