A-wing is completely overpowered, also playing the empire is a guaranteed game lost 90% of the times. The shields on the rebels side advantage to big. I know it's hard for dice to balance it and stick to the sw Canon, but perhaps they could give the empire some other advantage, like more ai fighters... the empire had the advantage of the numbers in the movies
+Valter Henriques another possibilty is the anti lock ability(the one that the snowspeeder has and slave1). I thought that such system was actually on TIE fighters thus making it conform to canon.

+ChocolateAsian9000 i am sorry i honesty ran out of time recording this my wife and son just got home and they were being loud and wrecking my audio lol but i also am not sure what u are referring too every time i pick up a cool down power up it cools down systems 100% but i have never paid attention as to how far the cool down already was at when i picked it up so i really can't say for sure. But stacking that's a new one on me are u talking about getting a complete cool down then picking up another cool down power up firing off your missiles and having the second one you already picked up in reserve instantly cool you down? I used to avoid piloting but then wanted to broaden my skillzz lmao so I practiced on fighter squadron so I didn't feel hopeless as I found many others also struggling to fly in the starfighters. As I became more confident in flying I went on to walker assault and it really helps the team to win when you can blast off the enemies without them doing any real damage to your vehicle.
I never noticed that reducing speed increases the weapons power! I never played fighter squadron because I could never take anything down! I'm dumb lol this was really helpful thank you CharminEXSoft Gaming !

I love the Fighter Squadron game mode. So much, it's my game of choice when playing Battlefront (PS4). Every chance I get, especially when I start a game, I go for the "Cool Down" power up.

I love flying in this game. A little bit different to other games I've played(Ace combat 5, AC Assault Horizon and the like), but still a lot of fun for someone who is almost a pure flier rather than a ground pounder.

Good video, I've had so much trouble flying that I've avoided it mostly due to the non-familiarity of the control layout (only played the flying tutorial once and then gave the game a bit of a break), so good to know how to utilise these controls now and know why I couldn't hit a damn thing!

I'm a dangerous pilot, I used this game mode to do a good bulk of my leveling because I can consistently get 1sts. Its funny how many people will take a few shots at you, miss, then fire a missile like you can't evade it.

Couple tips that have helped me, When flying head on against another opponent, barrel roll out at the last second so instead of you both crashing and dying you have a chanceTo survive if you time the barrel roll and missile correctly Also, if you're playing the fighter match keep an eye out for where the A Wings and Interceptors are because they are always user players since the AI only fly Tie Fighters and X Wings. Lastly, A Wings have much better maneuverability than the X Wings if you don't believe me, try a strafing run with the A Wing and X Wing on supremacy and see how many times the X Wing crashes compared to the A Wing
I'm pretty sure the A wings are a lot faster though. When I play on the imperial side, i can never hit the A-wings, but i take about 1-2 seconds to down an X-wing. Also, the boost for the TIE fighters are pretty offensive. I realise if you lower your speed in the energy distribution, while hitting the speed boost, it allows you to travel at maximum speed while having maximum damage with your shots.
+Sheamisen no they are not its i use to think the same this its just all about your perspective in how u are viewing them and i u are traveling at a slower speed and the A-Wing is traveling a full speed it will look faster for sure but it clearly stats that ties are faster then the rebel ships :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)
CharminEXSoft Gaming but it's canon that a wings were faster then tie interceptor and they were fastest ship in the galaxy before the rebels made the a wing so your argument is invalid
I enjoy piloting on walker assault, though I find myself in two situations. Either my side has the pilots and there are always fighters in the sky, or it is me against 4 or 3 enemy fighters. When this happens I try to take one or two out because certain fighters only spawn with the previous checkpoint (i.e. A-wings only spawn on middle checkpoint) So you want to try to take out the ones that have been flying so they can't field more than 3 at a time, but I usually fail at taking on 2-4 fighters by myself. :( I didn't know that the bar was a weapons/engines power meter... I was wondering why I was dying from like 2 hits when I would be sitting there shooting non-stop at them overheating my weapons. I'll be paying attention to that bar more now.
I love flying. The smoother you fly the better you will do. I have had 32 kills to 0 deaths by using full guns low speed settings. Also don't be afraid to fly upside down, loop the loop, and fly low.

So I am going to trying using my controller when playing on PC and flying. Do you know if I have one plugged, am I able to pick it up when flying and back down when I am a soldier on the ground? Would be great for walker assault.
A wings Fire abit slower than the xwings but the a wings are allot smaller and harder too hit. And The tie fighter is allot bigger than the tie interceptor but I think they have the same rpm.
Great video but, I have the feeling that the A-Wing has certain advantage over the Tie Fighter and the Tie interceptor, I get really frustrated when I'm playing AT AT Assault and everytime the A wings are in the air, it gets really REALLY hard to take 'em out, both from the air and from the ground, so maybe you could give me some tips??

+William Yang well i have done videos one each of them already (E-11)ua-cam.com/video/GGfk8QFlt-8/v-deo.html (A280C) ua-cam.com/video/Uye3PItuyZI/v-deo.html and i perfer the E-11 over the A280C but that's just me and when it come to using the EE-3 i find it works better when using it in first person rather then 3rd another guy today was having issues using it and i told him to switch to 1st person and 20 min later he wrote back thanking me because he just went like 15 and 3. Now to be clear there is no difference in stats or bonuses when using either 1st or 3rd person or aiming down sights but 3rd will give u a better field of view its just all up to the player and how they feel when using the weapon the T-21 for example i use it in 3rd i do better with that weapon in 3rd so i use it that way. But to answer your question when it comes to the EE-3 i aim down sights now people will tell u that aiming down sights will slow your character down when moving and shooting with him and they are right but i find its easier to aim for things like head shots when i aim down sights and i find it to be more effective again this is just me and how it works for me and i love it :) I hope i was able to help thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)

Any tactics advise? Sometimes I seriously just can't shake them and keep doing rolls, speed, up/down, move, move move, like crazy and eventually die :( is like the guy is literally glued to my behind. Worst is when I think I've shaken him, can't freaking find him, the radar is useless. thx for the vid!
You should definitely choose A-Wings and TIE Interceptors. The Hero power ups are always in some narrow and hard to reach places so a smaller ship is better for getting them. But of course if someone is already using the heroes then it doesn't matter.
Is the A-Wing hitbox glitched ? because I cant hit them most of the time. They went from annoying flies (tie fighter 95) to terrors of the skies (battlefront). And merry christmas !

+TheGXDivider No the A-Wings are broken as shit right now. Right now the ships between Rebels and Imperials are heavily unbalanced. The speed boost for the Empire is useless, and the shields for the Rebels are way too damn powerful.

Trust me they are really powerful, especially in fighter squadron with the reduced cool down time powerup. You can keep using the shields over and over again. And I've tested the speed boost and it really is only good from going to a slow speed to fast instantly and it barely makes you go faster than a regular fighter going at max speed. The game still has a long way to go with fixes so far :P
You hit the controls on the head, but there are differences regardless if they were intended or not. Awing and interceptor have smaller hitboxes that make them more difficult to hit from the side than their alternatives. also: the awing and tie fighter have a tighter blaster spread which means that more damage will be applied on a direct hit than with the interceptor or xwing. With the newest patch (outer rim) range also seems more a factor for blaster damage than engine speed. For all the above reasons most people fly awings and interceptors but like the vid says, the differences are minimal. One last note is that awing and xwing both fire proton torpedoes, I don't know where the concussion missile thing came from (I know the movie version has it but in battlefront they're just proton)
The A wings have a much smaller hitbox than the X-wings. You have to be right behind them in order to shoot them down, if they turn it's nearly impossible to hit.
Never realised the ships were just reskins, always felt that the TIE fighter was more manoeuvrable than the interceptor, though it might just be me wishing that the ships were different.

There is a huge difference between the fighters, both Imperial and Rebel side. The a wing is much better than the x wing. The A wing is the most powerful out of the 4. When I say powerful I mean as far as its difficulty to target and hit and also its targeting system seems to work much better than the other three. The Tie interceptor in my opinion is much better than the Tie fighter. My only reason for this is it seems the tie interceptors targeting system works better than the TIE fighter. A little TIP for everyone: HERO powerups spawn in at 9:07 in the match. Usually in the middle of the map. Be ready and looking at that time.
+Ken Haavig honestly there is not i am getting the information right out of the guide book they are the same which is another reason they don't have stat bars for the ships because they perform the same its all about perspective honestly you even say its "seems" a lot in your statement proving its all about perspective. I am not talking crap or anything and i am not taking any offence to you statement so please don't think that at all. I love piloting, although the rebel ships are better than the imperial ships, so I usually avoid the tie fighters or intercepters if I'm on the empire.
The standard control setup didnt work for me AT ALL. But you can change around quite a few things. Now i got my left stick to point the craft, inverted. So feels more like any flying game out there(the old ace combats, gta,...). And the Right stick as energy displacement. Makes a world of differance to me, everything comes natural and i can just have at it.
second correction: it is a difference between the TIE Fighter and the TIE Intercepter, but not in the Online Multiplayer Mode. The difference only happens Offline Mode, because than the TIE Intercepter is able to lanch ion torpedos at you while the normal TIE Fighter can't.
Im pretty sure you're wrong about the ships not being different. Im pretty sure xwing and tie fighters have faster turning speeds. And ive heard interceptors/awing have more health, not sure about that though.
Well, actually, the x-wing has a quicker fire rate than the a-wing, due to its four guns, while the a-wings have two stronger but slower guns. Tie interceptors have the same fire rate as Tie fighters, but they do shoot with four guns too.

good vid, like some of the people here i am agreed, the empire have the lowest hand here , the speed boost almost do nothing , and the shield are a super perk ,need some balance

in one of my Matchs in walker assault I was able to get an a wing fighter right at the begging of the match and I survived in the entire game and got 49 kills and zero deaths
If anybody doesn't know why the x wings' lasers are red and the TIE fighters' are green. It is because the the Imperial is very big and they can easily get there hands on high quality blaster bolts, which give off a green light. And the rebels can only afford the lower quality which is red. And of course the blasted rifle bolts are always going to give off a red laser because they are not as powerful as those on a star fighter. Note, this doesn't mean tie fighters do more damage than X wings.

fantana I have only been doing UA-cam for just under a year now i had the channel before that but just used it to show like 5 friends opf mine some random Xbox Clips since they did not have Xbox Ones and could not see what i made on the Upload App on there i was not actually doing anything on UA-cam at the time. +ChocolateAsian9000 i am sorry i honesty ran out of time recording this my wife and son just got home and they were being loud and wrecking my audio lol but i also am not sure what u are referring too every time i pick up a cool down power up it cools down systems 100% but i have never paid attention as to how far the cool down already was at when i picked it up so i really can't say for sure. But stacking that's a new one on me are u talking about getting a complete cool down then picking up another cool down power up firing off your missiles and having the second one you already picked up in reserve instantly cool you down? That would be cool it that happened but i honestly never thought to try that :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)

I used to avoid piloting but then wanted to broaden my skillzz lmao so I practiced on fighter squadron so I didn't feel hopeless as I found many others also struggling to fly in the starfighters. As I became more confident in flying I went on to walker assault and it really helps the team to win when you can blast off the enemies without them doing any real damage to your vehicle.
I never noticed that reducing speed increases the weapons power! I never played fighter squadron because I could never take anything down! I'm dumb lol this was really helpful thank you CharminEXSoft Gaming !

I love the Fighter Squadron game mode. So much, it's my game of choice when playing Battlefront (PS4).
Every chance I get, especially when I start a game, I go for the "Cool Down" power up.

I love flying in this game. A little bit different to other games I've played(Ace combat 5, AC Assault Horizon and the like), but still a lot of fun for someone who is almost a pure flier rather than a ground pounder.

Good video, I've had so much trouble flying that I've avoided it mostly due to the non-familiarity of the control layout (only played the flying tutorial once and then gave the game a bit of a break), so good to know how to utilise these controls now and know why I couldn't hit a damn thing!
I love piloting. I do think there IS a handling difference between the Main fighters and the alternatives though.

I'm a dangerous pilot, I used this game mode to do a good bulk of my leveling because I can consistently get 1sts. Its funny how many people will take a few shots at you, miss, then fire a missile like you can't evade it.

Couple tips that have helped me,
When flying head on against another opponent, barrel roll out at the last second so instead of you both crashing and dying you have a chanceTo survive if you time the barrel roll and missile correctly
Also, if you're playing the fighter match keep an eye out for where the A Wings and Interceptors are because they are always user players since the AI only fly Tie Fighters and X Wings.
Lastly, A Wings have much better maneuverability than the X Wings if you don't believe me, try a strafing run with the A Wing and X Wing on supremacy and see how many times the X Wing crashes compared to the A Wing
I don't really play fighter squadron but if I see a ship in any normal game modes I will go for it
I'm pretty sure the A wings are a lot faster though. When I play on the imperial side, i can never hit the A-wings, but i take about 1-2 seconds to down an X-wing. Also, the boost for the TIE fighters are pretty offensive. I realise if you lower your speed in the energy distribution, while hitting the speed boost, it allows you to travel at maximum speed while having maximum damage with your shots.
+Sheamisen no they are not its i use to think the same this its just all about your perspective in how u are viewing them and i u are traveling at a slower speed and the A-Wing is traveling a full speed it will look faster for sure but it clearly stats that ties are faster then the rebel ships :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)
CharminEXSoft Gaming but it's canon that a wings were faster then tie interceptor and they were fastest ship in the galaxy before the rebels made the a wing so your argument is invalid
I enjoy piloting on walker assault, though I find myself in two situations. Either my side has the pilots and there are always fighters in the sky, or it is me against 4 or 3 enemy fighters. When this happens I try to take one or two out because certain fighters only spawn with the previous checkpoint (i.e. A-wings only spawn on middle checkpoint) So you want to try to take out the ones that have been flying so they can't field more than 3 at a time, but I usually fail at taking on 2-4 fighters by myself. :( I didn't know that the bar was a weapons/engines power meter... I was wondering why I was dying from like 2 hits when I would be sitting there shooting non-stop at them overheating my weapons. I'll be paying attention to that bar more now.

I love flying. The smoother you fly the better you will do. I have had 32 kills to 0 deaths by using full guns low speed settings. Also don't be afraid to fly upside down, loop the loop, and fly low.

I was so used to Star Wars Battlefront II piloting, I had to swap the left and right sticks!
I am pretty disappointed that you couldn't manually roll over by turning the, in your case, left stick to the sides, like in Battlefront II.

A wings Fire abit slower than the xwings but the a wings are allot smaller and harder too hit. And The tie fighter is allot bigger than the tie interceptor but I think they have the same rpm.

Great video but, I have the feeling that the A-Wing has certain advantage over the Tie Fighter and the Tie interceptor, I get really frustrated when I'm playing AT AT Assault and everytime the A wings are in the air, it gets really REALLY hard to take 'em out, both from the air and from the ground, so maybe you could give me some tips??

+William Yang well i have done videos one each of them already (E-11)ua-cam.com/video/GGfk8QFlt-8/v-deo.html (A280C) ua-cam.com/video/Uye3PItuyZI/v-deo.html and i perfer the E-11 over the A280C but that's just me and when it come to using the EE-3 i find it works better when using it in first person rather then 3rd another guy today was having issues using it and i told him to switch to 1st person and 20 min later he wrote back thanking me because he just went like 15 and 3. Now to be clear there is no difference in stats or bonuses when using either 1st or 3rd person or aiming down sights but 3rd will give u a better field of view its just all up to the player and how they feel when using the weapon the T-21 for example i use it in 3rd i do better with that weapon in 3rd so i use it that way. But to answer your question when it comes to the EE-3 i aim down sights now people will tell u that aiming down sights will slow your character down when moving and shooting with him and they are right but i find its easier to aim for things like head shots when i aim down sights and i find it to be more effective again this is just me and how it works for me and i love it :) I hope i was able to help thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)

You should definitely choose A-Wings and TIE Interceptors. The Hero power ups are always in some narrow and hard to reach places so a smaller ship is better for getting them. But of course if someone is already using the heroes then it doesn't matter.
the a-wing is considered op because pf the size. ingame, the ship is smaller and therefore has a smaller hitbox making it harder to hit.
Is the A-Wing hitbox glitched ? because I cant hit them most of the time. They went from annoying flies (tie fighter 95) to terrors of the skies (battlefront). And merry christmas !
Also can't wait for the Tie Defender DLC to turn the tide on the rebel scums :)

+TheGXDivider No the A-Wings are broken as shit right now. Right now the ships between Rebels and Imperials are heavily unbalanced. The speed boost for the Empire is useless, and the shields for the Rebels are way too damn powerful.
Matthew Nevarez that's funny honestly i think they both a bit more on the useless side even when i put up my shield i fell like i still get shot down just the same as if i never activated it and same with the speed boost i am sure they both help in there own ways but not enough to make a huge difference but that's just my opinion :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)
Trust me they are really powerful, especially in fighter squadron with the reduced cool down time powerup. You can keep using the shields over and over again. And I've tested the speed boost and it really is only good from going to a slow speed to fast instantly and it barely makes you go faster than a regular fighter going at max speed. The game still has a long way to go with fixes so far :P
You hit the controls on the head, but there are differences regardless if they were intended or not. Awing and interceptor have smaller hitboxes that make them more difficult to hit from the side than their alternatives. also: the awing and tie fighter have a tighter blaster spread which means that more damage will be applied on a direct hit than with the interceptor or xwing. With the newest patch (outer rim) range also seems more a factor for blaster damage than engine speed. For all the above reasons most people fly awings and interceptors but like the vid says, the differences are minimal. One last note is that awing and xwing both fire proton torpedoes, I don't know where the concussion missile thing came from (I know the movie version has it but in battlefront they're just proton)

There is a huge difference between the fighters, both Imperial and Rebel side. The a wing is much better than the x wing. The A wing is the most powerful out of the 4.
When I say powerful I mean as far as its difficulty to target and hit and also its targeting system seems to work much better than the other three.
The Tie interceptor in my opinion is much better than the Tie fighter. My only reason for this is it seems the tie interceptors targeting system works better than the TIE fighter.
A little TIP for everyone:
HERO powerups spawn in at 9:07 in the match. Usually in the middle of the map. Be ready and looking at that time.
+Ken Haavig honestly there is not i am getting the information right out of the guide book they are the same which is another reason they don't have stat bars for the ships because they perform the same its all about perspective honestly you even say its "seems" a lot in your statement proving its all about perspective. I am not talking crap or anything and i am not taking any offence to you statement so please don't think that at all. I love piloting, although the rebel ships are better than the imperial ships, so I usually avoid the tie fighters or intercepters if I'm on the empire.
The standard control setup didnt work for me AT ALL. But you can change around quite a few things. Now i got my left stick to point the craft, inverted. So feels more like any flying game out there(the old ace combats, gta,...). And the Right stick as energy displacement. Makes a world of differance to me, everything comes natural and i can just have at it.

second correction: it is a difference between the TIE Fighter and the TIE Intercepter, but not in the Online Multiplayer Mode. The difference only happens Offline Mode, because than the TIE Intercepter is able to lanch ion torpedos at you while the normal TIE Fighter can't.
Im pretty sure you're wrong about the ships not being different. Im pretty sure xwing and tie fighters have faster turning speeds. And ive heard interceptors/awing have more health, not sure about that though.

The only reason i like the Tie Interceptor over all fighters is the fact that it looks intimidating. You could also say it looks "fly"
so that's why I always confuse witch tie to take

i love to pilot. When i am playing walker assalult, i love to strafe run.
Well, actually, the x-wing has a quicker fire rate than the a-wing, due to its four guns, while the a-wings have two stronger but slower guns. Tie interceptors have the same fire rate as Tie fighters, but they do shoot with four guns too.

good vid, like some of the people here i am agreed, the empire have the lowest hand here , the speed boost almost do nothing , and the shield are a super perk ,need some balance

the a-wing and interceptor have a stronger firepower. why do you think they are nerfing them

+Sebastian Gutierrez i have the game on PS4 yes but i mostly play on Xbox One because most of my friends are on Xbox but i do play on PS4 from time to time :)
in one of my Matchs in walker assault I was able to get an a wing fighter right at the begging of the match and I survived in the entire game and got 49 kills and zero deaths
If anybody doesn't know why the x wings' lasers are red and the TIE fighters' are green. It is because the the Imperial is very big and they can easily get there hands on high quality blaster bolts, which give off a green light. And the rebels can only afford the lower quality which is red. And of course the blasted rifle bolts are always going to give off a red laser because they are not as powerful as those on a star fighter. Note, this doesn't mean tie fighters do more damage than X wings.
A wing is significantly faster than the x-wing... pretty sure the same thing holds true for interceptor and fighters. I personally love this game mode and piloting ships in other game modes.
+Kyle Matlock i use to think the same way but it honestly all about perspective really all the information i was giving was straight from the guide book they are the same which is another reason why the ships don't have stat bars because they are the same so there is no need for them :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)

fantana I have only been doing UA-cam for just under a year now i had the channel before that but just used it to show like 5 friends opf mine some random Xbox Clips since they did not have Xbox Ones and could not see what i made on the Upload App on there i was not actually doing anything on UA-cam at the time. Next month will officially be 1 year from when i actually started making UA-cam videos and with almost hitting 4K already its just blown me away :) i am happy you are enjoying the channel i will be bringing plenty more battlefront coverage as well including coverage on all the DLC's as they release :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)

To the people saying rebels are op. this game is about the movie experiance. on the ground the imperials have shit like atats and such. where as in the air in the movies the rebelsalways destroy.

+Michael Buist yea i can see that but honestly i don't feel a difference in either on this game i think its all about peoples perspective and they ways they play the game if u switch up your tactics and star cards depending on which side you play on you can have a lot better results example if u are rebels u should carry an Ion to deal with walkers if u are Imperial then there is no real major reason to carry Ion and its a waist if u are carrying it so u are hurting yourself but that is just my opinion :) thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)

Michael Buist i hope it will be i did do a video on what i think the DLC might be a few days ago and i am releasing a new one on the same topic with some more information later tonight but they say there will be 16 new maps in total between all 4 DLC's so there will have to be more then 1 map for each and it says 4 more heroes AND villains for u to fight as or against so i expect 1 new hero and 1 new villain for each DLC drop 8 characters in total :) as always thanks for watching and taking the time to comment :)
