my first time playing total warhammer (or rather first full playthrough) actually had something similar happen for my gor-rok long campaign victory. i conquered all of lustria, killed all other lizards except mazdamundi, and tictaqto, who i confederated. this was important, because altherion confederated ALL of the high elves, and as i sailed up the east coast of the americas, learned he too had decided the dark elves had it too good for too long. i joined him (unofficially) in scouring those lands, only to find out the game was not done yet- all remaining nagarond forces rendeavoused in *east africa* and then started to use clan moulder as a proxy as i slowly clawed all the way accross the map, alongside the dwarves, elves, and humans, to finally complete what had essentially turned into ww3. also the most contested front of this campaign ended up becoming the middle east, took 15 turns for me to actually start the reckoning

Norsca is genuinely difficult to hold if you don't have stuff like the underway. It just has these long paths between the locations so if the enemy goes somewhere else, good luck catching them. Whenever you go one direction and new threat comes fromanother. It's just a nightmare to walk around and keep control of.
I think that Reggie made a mistake, he should have kept Troll Fjord, sell the rest of Norsca to Malakai and focus on conquering the coastal norse provinces near the Empire and Kislev, north and middle Norsca are a hell to defend with all the Chaos boys living right above you

There's a buncha cubes with 6 sides, 1 of the cubes has a ? and your job is to figure out what belongs on that side of that square. 20:12 You're presented with 4 choices, only 1 is correct obviously, and the answer is the triangle symbol. You can see all the other squares have an arrow pointing at something, 1 of the arrows is pointing at the triangle, all squares must be identical, that's how you solve it. You won't get giga-geared by doing these puzzles, but they can help you fill in some empty slots with potions or w/e.
There's the opposite variant of the puzzle too. Instead of only 1 square giving you the answer to ?, all squares will give you the answer. The goal is this: "-the Old Ones despised repetition...", so your job is to make all the squares unique. You'll have a symbol like the triangle or arrow pointing at different symbols, those symbols are all in the place of the ? on the square you need to complete. If you see 3 different symbols, your answer must be a symbol that is not used yet.

The only factions I feel you shouldn't post up against the wall with are low leadership factions because if they rout, they can usually come back and keep going over and over again. I had an army of Skavenslaves, and every unit rallied the three times before a guaranteed rout. They won because they bought enough time for Queek to come in with a 19 chieftain stack and murder-kill everyone.

Uff I feel you on this campaign. Tried also to unite the north as Kislev and once all of Norsca, the Chaos Factions and Dark Elves unite against you it's pretty much impossible. Campaign ended when 10 stacks of Dwarf Army were pushing from the south due to an endgame crysis event. Was very sad all in all.
I don't think you played game 2. Every faction could explore the ruins and get a puzzle that would give them an item if you got it right. To some degree I miss it because there's not a lot to do with the ruins now besides settle them. I think heros could do it too, but now they only check for skaven.

The only factions I feel you shouldn't post up against the wall with are low leadership factions because if they rout, they can usually come back and keep going over and over again. I had an army of Skavenslaves, and every unit rallied the three times before a guaranteed rout. They won because they bought enough time for Queek to come in with a 19 chieftain stack and murder-kill everyone.

Uff I feel you on this campaign. Tried also to unite the north as Kislev and once all of Norsca, the Chaos Factions and Dark Elves unite against you it's pretty much impossible. Campaign ended when 10 stacks of Dwarf Army were pushing from the south due to an endgame crysis event. Was very sad all in all.
I don't think you played game 2. Every faction could explore the ruins and get a puzzle that would give them an item if you got it right. To some degree I miss it because there's not a lot to do with the ruins now besides settle them. I think heros could do it too, but now they only check for skaven.
