Bret Hart his character was that he was a submission specialist who claimed that he was the best wrestler in the business. I know not all wrestling fans care for Bret as a wrestler cause of his serious persona. When he would do what became known as his five moves of doom such as a backbreaker and flying elbow drop he did those four moves before winning with the sharpshooter as his way of indicating that he was going to win. Hogan was the same way with his hulking up and would do his signature finishing antics and moves to win.

The matches should be the icing on the cake. Kayfabe should be kept to some degree as some of the moves they do today break the shit out of it. Daniel Garcia has his dance that go him way over. The Young Bucks have their EVP trigger taunt, Kenny Omega has his throat slash for his one winged angel. Miro has his "game over" taunt signaling his finisher. IDK if you're referring to only WWE (Nakamura has his weird dance & his taunt in the corner signaling the kinshaza), but they're plenty of wrestlers that have antics in AEW.

The very next match I'm watching, waiting to pop for 'Wanna get nuts" and there's nothing. I'm like what the fuck happened? It played so well into his character. It was getting him majorly over, he could have sold millions of TT-Shirts. Like WTF is going on? Turns out I think that WWE told him to stop doing it. Probably Triple Nose, because they didn't want him getting more over thhan Roman. Thhat's what I suspect.
