I get that you might not understand but it really does help with cutting weight. Lunch gives you the energy to move during your weight cut… if you don’t have food, you don’t have energy to metabolize into heat, thus you can’t cut a lot of water weight. I wish I knew this during high school, it would have made weight cuts a lot easier. So please eat something during the day before you do your sweat cutting, a little food weighs less than a pound
I'm my junior too but I've been wrestling for five years. One tip I can give is do t worry about the losses or wins focus on what you can do better every match
Love your content bro miss these days. Wrestling takes a lot of dedication I have a lot of respect for you, will be cheering for you all year, you got this bro. Best wishes!!
Stick with it I’ve been wrestling for 8 years and only went to state last year but I know someone who accidentally walked into the wrestling room and went to state with me lol
@Kai_adin no it's not. You jave a chance to give up in jiu-jitsu in wrestling no matter what you can't unless your on your back amd that's not willingly.
hey cayden, three days ago I won my conference with first place in my weight class. I was the only one on my team who actually got first place. But watching your videos and mindset when you wrestle has taught me a lot. Thanks for everything.
The worst is the highscool round robins. And you have to stand there ready go in headgear and a singlet just standing around for 5 minutes while they call a name. Then right at 4:58 seconds they show up in a full fucking sweat.
I remember stepping on the mat at a tournament, nervous and anxious af, and the other guy hasn't shown up yet. My coach comes up to me and pep talks me for a good 30 seconds. The ref comes up and says we can stop talking strategy. The other wrestler was DQ'ed when they found out he had ringworm.
What was you actual fastest match though? I remember wrestling in high school and a forfeit never felt like a W but a 13 second pin was electric! Love the vids man!
I’m starting wrestling now. I’m in six grade 12 years old 100 to 105 pounds. What should I look out for and what are some tips? I’ve never done it before and I hope to be really good at it.
Dude my coach had me stressed tf out tournament before last I weighed 140 wrestling 144 then he told me I'm wrestling 138 so I had to drop less then 24 hours before weighs ins when I got there I weighed 137.5 then I found out I'm wrestling 144 then I was getting ready to wrestle waited hour and a half first round was a bye man it sucked
Hi It’s my 5th year wrestling but didn’t start cutting weight till last year it was easy last year because I just didn’t eat 1-3 days before weigh ins but this year that doesn’t work I have tried running the treadmill every day with a sweat suit on and wrestle 4 hours a day, 4 days a week plus meets and have a good diet. Any ideas to help me cut weight? Also, I have been watching you since I started and it’s made me a lot better. Thanks
I have been doing the ice baths for the past year for recovery, but have been hearing a lot lately that it doesnt help much. Ive even seen videos now that say it hurts muscle growth, whats everyone opinions on this?
Ok I have a question for ya, so I’m a sophomore in high school and I’m on the girls wrestling team, tomorrow I have a two day dual, and I’m noticing whenever I have really big nerves I never perform as well, how do I calm my nerves down before a match?
Dislocated my shoulder 2nd week of practice, was it the right choice to quit for the year because I couldn’t come back for a minimum of 2 months even if nothing was torn?
Most kids lose because they werent able to defeat themselves first! Reminds me of several occasions when seniors would forfiet in regional tournaments and that was their season since they didnt make weigh ins . This was back when hydration was considered to be a weakness 😅 until weigh ins. Then bump up a ton . Those were the good days 🤔 Those kids never fully recovered from such events. It becomes a twitch 😖 “Woulda coulda shoulda”moments Dang. Im glad I dominated that ish! 😅
"I was still 5 pounds over"
"We stopped to get lunch at good ol' subway"
The next day after they weighed in
Good ol subway, then they’ll stop at Mickey D’s on the way back lol

I just started wrestling this year. I swear I hate and love every second.
90% mental 10% physical but keep it up it's a extremely rewarding sport

Fr bro, It’s so fun yet it’s so hard 😆😆
Same brooo BIGG love hate relationship ship
Nothin more real then that
He said some “i wasted my time now i waste yours”
Very disappointing not having someone to wrestle against. But a win is a win.

So happy for min about this win one of the toughest matches I’ve ever seen ☺️
Min fastest match was in 17 seconds, my “famous” headlock.😂
Those match’s are hardest, wrestling the air. lol
Inspirational. Bro is international. Oooooh yeah! Good shit. 💯💯💯

Count it as a win.
Next….
For those of you who don’t understand, it was a forfeit match. So they didn’t have anyone at his weight class so he automatically won the match.
I have my first wrestling practice on Monday and you are one of the main reasons I am going to start wrestling so thanks for the inspiration
Midway through I say in my head “he’s taking a forfeit isn’t he”😭
Gotta love all the work to cut and make weight for a forfeit. I don't miss cutting but I always loved stepping on the scale to see I achieved my goal.
Cayden you're a great role model! Keep up the good work 💪
I feel like i get the most applause anytime i win my forefit than an actual match
Reminds me of my time on the mats in the 80s . Great team awesome great friends .. I still miss it. Sometimes
Does anyone else like right When they step on the line and shake their hand they always get the sensation, and the whistle blows and your all out
I do wrestling myself and the hardest part is maintaining your weight.

its a joke
Augustana has a pretty good sized room! That's at least as big as the room at Oklahoma State was when I was at OSU, maybe even bigger.
huge hunk fr❤
I had wrestling practice in that wrestling room for a club
Have you tried pushing your first workout to later in the afternoon. It makes the weight cut much easier.
Great match. Best match I’ve ever seen
That much preperation for no contest is very disappointing (relatable)😂
I have to give Congrats to this guy because wrestling is the most hardest sport
you know they're real wrestlers when they play spike ball
Bro all that suspense for a forgot🤣🤣💀
I've always been scared of tripping when that happens 😅

My first meet I ever had was a forfeit and it was kind of a letdown since I really wanted to wrestle

Don’t do it after a lift for muscle growth but there’s a reason body builders still do it and wrestlers don’t need that much muscle
Hey Caden I know you’re probably not gonna see this but do you have any tips on how to control the stress before going out on the mat?
Hold on, did I just see you eat before weigh ins?? I could never, not even water💀
No, he weighed in the day after the drive, he was just cutting weight the day before so he doesn't have to be in calorie deficit day of match.
is it best to cut the day before like that or stay under and eat well the day before? would I have more energy?
Ok I have a question for ya, so I’m a sophomore in high school and I’m on the girls wrestling team, tomorrow I have a two day dual, and I’m noticing whenever I have really big nerves I never perform as well, how do I calm my nerves down before a match?

Where was the other guy? Isn't there usually a backup that you could wrestle?
What's your advise for wrestling up I'm a middle schooler trying to get better

Ive been wrestling for 6 years and its the best sport out there it’s exciting fun scary and nervracking if its a big match and you need to win
Remember going there for a turnament!
man it ain’t easy winning forfeits, so much effort on that 5 seconds of mat time😊
This why being a heavyweight is nice, no weight cutting
Wasn’t expecting that😂
Had a lot of forfeits in my wrestling years. I was usually the lightest weight class on the team.
I always was disappointed to get the win via no show now I compete in BJJ and I am grateful that I rarely have a "walkover"
