After listing to this whole spiel I can tell this guy has never been to Az. Sure all these towns have their problems like all towns but living in Az for 70 years and had being to most of these town their not as bad as he has made them out to be.
I've lived in Arizona for 27 years and honestly I don't agree with a lot on this video. If you ask 100 people living in Arizona which places are the worst to live, you're going to get different answers from everybody. There are so many variables to this. Apache Junction for example is in the Mesa area but to say it has no jobs is deceiving because most people in AJ work in Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix. AJ is an old school area so it stands to reason that the jobs are few and far between. Winslow is a great town, go down into the town and do what the Eagles song says and take pictures, "Standing on the corner of Winslow Arizona...." it's a great little town to visit and if you live there, you probably own a business which people travel through all of the time and visit. Small town yes but it's not that bad at all. The people are really nice and every place we have been to eat has been spot on! What this video fails to mention is many of these towns are on or near the reservations so there isn't going to be a lot there. Come to Arizona and see for yourself, it's not bad. Camp Verde and Guadalupe are really the only 2 that are spot on in my opinion.
@@TS-gf6ou yes they are! Good things coming.. I’m ready just waiting for my back to heal a wee longer. May went for fall. Good places Scottsdale, Peoria, Sedona if your rich 😂... I’m a zonie..
I lived in Apache Junction for six months and never had a problem. I was able to find a job and a nice church, and I had lots of nice friends in my RV park.
Apache Junction has the National Social Movement headquarters. Most of the towns on this video I've been to and enjoy, but every time I'm in AJ I see something that reminds me why I try to avoid it
I was amazed it didn't make the list but i do believe its due tot he crime rate in Gila Bend lets face it you cant do the crime if everyone knows everyone
I was saddened to see the house I lived in until I was four featured in the clip of Winslow (6:43). When I lived there it was a very nice home. It was painted white with green trim and had a large tree in the front yard. At some point it became a motorcycle clubhouse and went down hill from there. Fortunately, it was recently purchased and the new owners are doing an extensive remodel bringing it back to a cute, livable home that most people would be proud of. By the way, when my family left Winslow we moved to Phoenix where I have lived for the last 70 years.
I wouldn’t feel too bad he’s literally plucking images from google earth that in his eyes are lower income housing which is actually pretty disrespectful especially when he has no prior knowledge or anything of the sort
Camp Verde is a geological wonder. No idea how on earth that city happened upon your list. Must've never visited and just looked up poorest towns in arizona. Might be in that category but if you pass this town up in arizona you'll miss out on something ancient and special. This area is astoundingly interesting. Ancient native architecture over a thousand years old. Geological formations that are several billions of years old. This whole area is absolutely incredible if your unit of measure for whats interesting expands past how expansive the nearest outlet mall is.
I agree, I love Camp Verde. Interesting area with charming main street, coffee shops and restaurants. A funky Western Bar, some Antique Stores--and the Fort itself. Surrounded by interesting geographical features and a stone's throw from Sedona. You could do way worse.
Parts of Central Pho is where the money is. But anywhere along I-17 from the Durango Curve to Union Hills is pretty much hell and has been for decades.
@Nafa Toa finally someone who knows history! 👏 ya my mother lives in Guad she knows all the neighbors and never had any big issues. Only thing is the annoying parties.
We have had an interesting thing happen. My husband and I were both born in the 1960's in Northern Indiana. After college we ended up in the Phoenix AZ area. Since Phoenix is so hot and crowded we figured we would retire back to our green, beautiful Indiana now that we aren't stuck in Phoenix because of jobs, having retired last year. So we moved back to Indiana, bought a mini-farm of 5 acres, which we thought would be our dream home. Yeah...fast forward 6 months... Hate it. The sky is always dark, ground is constantly muddy, sun is barely out once you get into fall/winter and the wind/snow/cold are way more depressing than we remembered from growing up here. Ugh...I miss Arizona and really want to go back. Living for 35 plus years in sunny, bright conditions changes a person. I guess we turned into desert rats without realizing it.
16 years in Alaska and I can’t wait to move out, I want to move to AZ, time for some real sunshine, vitamin D pills help but there is more to it. The sun is therapeutic. A LOT of people are moody here 😆
You will never know how to appreciate Arizona until you move away from it. Everything happens for a reason. It took you to go east coast to realize that.
The desert gets in your blood. Lol I did the same thing you did and all I could think about is how much I missed the desert. I'm now back and dreaming of moving North to Pine or Prescott so I can visit the desert any time I want. But I gotta get out of these hot summers. Lol
Now in Az is very hard to buy a house. But, you can get some land in Casa Grande and build a new home.I did it .Got 14 acr. of land just 5 min away from down town CG.And it is not hot, because is out in desert and always is breeze.
Don’t wait to long. I didn’t wait came back in 10 months selling my house and buying one before coming back . So glad I did. Good luck in what ever you choose. Stay happy.
All the places you listed look pretty good to me. I'm retired, on a pension, and my wife (Donell) and I make about 23,000 a year. So all these poor towns full of trailers and old beaters look like home, but with better weather!
Only if you can take 120 farenheit in the summer in the desert areas. My electric bill went up to $480 a month from late June to September and thats with my AC set at 81 degrees. Late nights would cool off to only 90. 🥵🌵🔥 "But its a dry heat".💀 😅
@@themousethatroared3371 I’m originally from the humid southeast and was in Phoenix at 110 and it didn’t feel that bad at all. Now 120 might be a bit much I agree. Cheers
I was born and raised in AZ and since moved to Michigan. I think both states are great! Every town has its issues. It takes an involved citizenry to help any place thrive.
The biggest problem I had with Northern Arizona was its low per capita income and high cost of living. I was like: "Who in the hell wants to live in an expensive part of the U.S. where there is so little to do?!"
@@Thrashman-ye4cf I am from the mountains of AZ (for the most part). I adore the snow and cold. It was pone reason that I moved here. Michigan is amazing😊
@@traveldreamer4616 I’ve had trouble moving from my home a couple different times and came right back. It’s nice that we have all four seasons and lots to do. Just need a change of scenery. I’ve never been farther west than Indiana, I want to see the desert. I feel like I might get sick of it tho and move back😂
Pine, Prescott, Show Low - those are the best places in AZ according to me. You can keep the Valley of the Sun. Too hot, too dry, too crowded. There is more to life than a multiplicity of restaurants or retail shopping centers. Give me Ponderosa pines and old mines any day!
I came to Snowflake from New York 5 years ago, and it's been great to escape the chaos of Covid back east. I'm glad most people want to live in Scottsdale and Chandler, I only go to the valley to stock up at Costco. I can leave my driveway and in 15 seconds be on dirt trails for miles on my dirtbike. I work remotely, so I can live anywhere I can afford.
Snowflake: • wind blows 9-10 months out of the year • no money unless you are a church member. • winter is cold and windy with hardly any snow • marriage? Gene pool is contaminated
Whats funny is, my family moved out here after a huge blizzard in Philadelphia, back when everything closed at 6 PM in Arizona, and my grandfather saved newspaper articles, he was obsessed with Arizona being "The pits of the nation," or the "Source of all his problems," and now it's the second fastest growing state.
I live near Tolleson and haven't left AZ since birth. I can honestly say it's not at all like what's being depicted here. In fact it has one of the better public HS options for gifted kids (University HS). There's a lot of diverse culture packed into Tolleson and it shows! Tolleson is one of the cities that actually has community camaraderie in an age & race diverse area. Not to mention it's close to neighbors that farm/homestead, beautiful mountain views, and the large tres rios wetland area. 🙂
I agree, I've lived in Buckeye from birth to 1987, then off to Phoenix I went and still here today. I spenT a lot of time in the west areas. The only thing I've ever complained about was Tolleson in the 80s and 90s because the Tolleson PD was and is always around like flies sneaking up on you 😁 I'm grown up now so I have nothing to hide (I don't drive without a license anymore). Heck I don't drive LoL
I live in Phoenix. Crime rates are horrible across the whole city. And the rent is NOT cheap. We pay $1200 for a 2 bedroom apartment. And we're in a what the state calls low income complex.
I have lived in the Phoenix Metro area since 1971. It has grown so much but it is a great place live. I raised my family here and they live here also including 9 Grandkids. The summer is hot but Phoenix is in the Sonoran Desert. Everything is air conditioned. Fall, winter and spring are great.
Phoenix is crowded and dirty now and folks are rude. South Tucson is grungy and dangerous but spot on about the food. Winslow has been declining since the 70s.
I'm sorry but I live in Phoenix, Arizona and I can guarantee you that she's not as dirty as you think she is! Just remember that Phoenix is right in the middle of the desert!
I grew up in Phoenix. Been here since the late 50’s. It was a lot nicer before so many people moved here. All the subsequent asphalt and buildings is why it’s a lot hotter than it used to be. Since everyone is leaving California I might move there.
I’m an AZ native of 45 years; born in Mesa, and raised in Flagstaff. I wouldn’t live in any of the cities on this list if you paid me. And that’s no joke. Honorable mentions would have to go to El Mirage, Lake Havasu City, Kingman, Cortes Junction, and Black Canyon City.
Born and raised in Az 3rd generation lived in Tolleson until 2001. Since then it has been subdivided into a huge sea of sameness. Cheap homes compared to other suburbs of Phoenix. Lots of 22 inch rims on cars. There are plenty of jobs, I work in Tolleson but live 25 miles away. Employers are giving $ bonuses to bring in applicants.
22 inch reehuums on cars, called "donks" have taken over the entire country. It started in the ghettos in CA and back east. I don't know why crap like that is legal. Pimps, drug dealers, gang members, and other criminals started putting them on their cars as status symbols. It's weird how otherwise normal people love to copy ghetto trends. Tattoos, piercings, baggy pants, all started in the ghetto, then became mainstream.
I am not sure this guy has ever really been here. You can find bad neighborhoods in every town. He never shows the good side of anything. I have lived in Coolidge for over 10 years and the population keeps growing. He talks about the Eloy dust storms but never mentions that those storms move all the way up to what he calls the good places to live. Don't believe all he says......
Yassss 😍😍😍 keep pushin that Tucson is the worst lolol looooove when I hear that. Because I live here 😏 I’ve lived in Chicago, SoCal and now Tucson. Tucson is my favorite place on earth lol my grandma moved here when I was 8 years old (22 years ago) and I came here every summer. Now I’ve lived here on my own all around the city for four years! Keep new people (especially from Cali) outta Tucson 🥰
Lol, same here. I thought, "wow, how considerate of the kidnapper to text his boss, so he doesn't get in trouble for not showing up, while he's, y'know, being held for ransom"...
Born n raised in Ohio. Visited my father's cousin in Yarnell arizona in 2006. He lived on top of a mountain. Absolutely gorgeous scenery. Fell in love with Arizona and loved the heat. 😍
Lived in Cleveland almost my entire life lol... Moved to Phoenix & have been here 4 years ... Can't wait to head back east or midwest when I graduate in 2023.
@@jgrysiak6566 it's like living in an over expensive oven that's covered in dirt lol. The food in NOTHING in comparison to east coast/ midwest. I miss the variety and all the unique restaurants. I can't wait for 4 seasons again. I don't hate phoenix i just don't love it and don't want to stay 🤣
My in-laws live in Apache Junction. I can say you’re spot on in your assessment.I do have a question, though. Apache Junction is a big destination for snow birds and retired folks looking for cheap real estate. That being said, do you think that skews the employment numbers? Lots of people are jobless because they’re retired. Is that taken into consideration? Thanks!
I've been around Apache Junction for well over 20 years. It's better now than it was 20 years ago. The old part of town was a real freak show 24 hours a day. I'm a construction guy working on a million-dollar house by the mountain right now. It's next to several other million-dollar houses. Those are next to many many $500,000 houses. In comparison, I have in-laws that live in West Phoenix around the area of 62nd Avenue. There I was shocked to see armed guards at all the convenience stores with every alcohol refrigerator locked, armed guards at every supermarket, armed guards at fast food places period and a Walmart that was really nice 20 years ago on 75th Avenue that just gives you the creeps to go in there. We don't have armed guards everywhere in Apache Junction and despite the minor Freakshow you don't have to worry about being mugged at the Walmart. I forget the stats on the City's population. Yes there are many retired people here and the City's population increases by about 60% in the winter. And I believe about 60% of those people are Canadians. But I may be off on those stats lately. And the retired people don't seem to care much about the education system? It's actually obvious almost nobody cares about it. It's really sad
@@LesDeplorables I suppose West Phoenix calls out for retirees wanting a part time job as an armed guard. Lookin' sharp for the missis with a uniform and loaded side-arm. Wow.
I grew up in AJ. It's pretty crummy there. I escaped from there by joining the military. Many of us who managed to graduate high school joined the military for a better life because we were poor. Others were lucky enough to get some community college and escape from there. I stayed in the full 20 years until I retired from the military because I KNEW how much better off I was. Much better than getting stuck in AJ. In boot camp I gained 23 lbs because I was given 3 nutritious meals a day. Let that sink in: 23 lbs in 2 months. The people I know that stayed... Well, many became addicted to meth, others died before the age of 25 (gangs and drug overdoses), and others have been in and out of the correctional facilities. Do snowbirds come to AJ? Yes. Does that skew reality? No.
"My pool isn't cool". I had been driving all day from Oregon through California. I stopped in Needles California at a hotel, planning to cross the border in the morning into Arizona. I got my room and put on my trunks and jumped into the pool. That water must have been a 130 degrees. No wonder no one was in it.
Slight exaggeration but either way best time to swim is 9:00AM till 11:30 AM then back out at 4:00PM till pool closes have that cookout and hydrate I love it after 4:00 till 9:00 works for me. Anyone who swims between 12:00-3:00 is crazy, again some like the heat.
I lived in Phoenix for a while and still try to figure out why I left and moved back to the Midwest. Sure, there are crime issues and some scary critters out there, but the nature and overall quality of life was phenomenal.
I grew up in South Tucson and I gotta say its one of those places where when the sun goes down you lock your doors and listen to the cop sirens and helicopters at night.
So, one issue is that nicer towns resist building affordable housing for low income senior citizens (restrict mobile home parks), low income housing for people with disabilities. Those folks are pushed to outlying towns & become prey for criminals. We need to do better. Start by respecting the elderly, poor & rich alike.
I get both sides of that sort of argument. As someone who grew up in the hood and moved to the suburbs as an adult, I understand the plus/minus arguments.
I bought a home in Kingman and had to move back to California because the house was misrepresented to me by my realtor, the seller and the seller's realtor. The HVAC was claimed to be newer, but was actually non functional. Mold in the house made me sick. I left after 1 week and hired an attorney. That's what I think about Arizona.
Your impression of the entire state is based on one experience with one home in KINGMAN? AZ Realtor here. Those things should have been caught during the inspection. A lot of buyers opted to waive the inspection to give themselves an edge over other offers during the pandemic when inventory was at ts lowest and people were lined up ten-deep to get into a home. NEVER WAIVE THE INSPECTION!!!
@Angel eyes D I was there 32 years ( from age 3-35) I could never get used to it. Been in the mid west for 6 years now. I'm used to the winter and I love it.
I've lived in AZ for 18 years after fleeing MI in my early 20s. On the whole, AZ is a beautiful place. I have traveled extensively within the state and live in Chandler. I agree with this list; however, I was surprised Casa Grande wasn't on it. I lived there for 6 years in the pre-Great Recession "drive to qualify" days and hated every minute of it. Without a doubt, it was the biggest mistake of my life moving there. I find it hilarious the many comments AZ residents have posted here saying they had a lovely time visiting some of these cities. Visiting is a much different thing than living. I hate all the growth that has happened here in recent years. It's really starting to feel like LA with all the sprawl, noise, and traffic. I fell in love at first sight with AZ and it's in my soul. I never thought I'd say this, but I don't want to retire here anymore. I'd rather live somewhere quieter with a slower pace. I used to tell everyone how much I loved living here, but if I had known 18 years ago what was going to happen, I may have rethought my decision.
Personal perspective: I moved here from NYC... The political climate is tense, black men don’t date or look at black women & yes the summers are brutal. I do love the peace and tranquillity of AZ & the scenery. I did love it when I came now I like it and I’m making it work. I wouldn’t go back to NYC, I hate cold/snow yet idk where else I’d live in the US. I do love the Fall/Summer weather here in AZ. I want a place that I can grow old and raise my kids with no snow, a garden & lots of pets. I may leave America all together. Who knows?
@@moneyonfleek1992 I’ve lived in St. Petersburg FL, Charlotte NC, Woodstock GA & all my fam is in FL, TX or GA somewhere... I wouldn’t live in any of these places.
I lived in Kingman and Flagstaff back in the eighties. I can tell you that even then it was tough to make a decent living. My father was a chef in a local restaurant and served in the National Guard. Family income was around 25 thousand a year. Property values were around 25 to 30 thousand dollars on average. Job opportunities were scarce especially in Kingman. This video speaks some truth I'm sure. However Arizona has much beautiful scenery and a taste of the old west. Me and my dad use to prospect in old abandoned ghost towns and target practice shooting. When a bullet ricochets off of a rock it sounds just like one of those western movies. Both good and bad memories in Arizona for sure.

I live in Florida and the same can be said about Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami and every other area in the country. There’s good and bad areas in all cities and towns and there’s plenty of nice areas in Arizona. When I visited the state last year on my road trip out west, I loved my time in Arizona! When I buy property in Arizona, I’ll make sure it’s in a safe and beautiful scenic area. Not sure why there’s always bad comments about the heat in Arizona. I lived in humid Florida for almost 30 years and I would gladly take the dry desert heat over the humid 90’s of Florida! I felt very comfortable in July last year in the Tucson and Phoenix areas. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada and they can keep their four seasons /snow and the summer humidity and storms in Florida. The winters in Florida are nice though. I’ll gladly take the summer heat in Phoenix and Tucson!

I've lived in Yavapai county for going on 6 years now. Camp Verde isn't too bad. I've seen so much worse. It's spread out enough that you can avoid the less than desirable areas fairly easy. There's plenty to explore if you like being outdoors and/or have a 4 wheeler. There is also some new construction happening.
I gotta agree with you, almost all of Yavapai county is nice merely on account of the climate and scenery. Camp Verde was 10th on the List but I guarantee if this creator took a second to think about it, Colorado City would be up on the list near the top.
AJ isn’t bad at all, lived in AZ for 26 years (Mesa) and it borders AJ. If you want cheep land to buy and build on, access to Canyon Lake, Apache Lake, horse back riding, great MTB trails, easy access points to RT 60 or the 202 AJ is a great place to live.

I lived in Tolleson for 3 years and I have to say my family loved that city. We lived right at the center at tolsun farms. We went to two of the Christmas festivals and we went walking and never had a problem. It was extremely lively and many knew eachother especially since many schools were nearby. @Thanos-kun - This is hilarious! If you lived in Tolson Farms then you lived in one of the ONLY decent subdivisions in Tolleson besides Villa Ricca subdivision! I mean-your subdivision was beautiful but that's because it was pretty much cut off from the rest of Tolleson by a huge stone wall and non-indigenous trees! Not only that but you lived in a place where as soon as you pulled out and turned right, you would be in Glendale! So you weren't even in the depths of the 10 blocks that made Tolleson! Lastly, if you ever lived in Maryvale for any amount of time then OF COURSE you thought Tolleson was better! Who wouldn't? But that doesn't mean that Tolleson has the type of quality that most people would be expecting. You saying that Tolleson is fine because you used to live in Maryvale is like saying "well I used to be hooked on cocaine (Maryvale) but now I'm an alcoholic (in Tolleson) so I'm dealing with a better situation!"🤷🏽♀ 🤦🏽♀ Reality is, Tolleson is poverty stricken, drug ridden and is known for being a transfer point and hideout for people who were either smuggled or snuck into America from over the border which does NOT live up to what is considered quality place to live!

Keep in mind large investor groups like Black Rock are buying up real estate all over the country, including Arizona. They're often paying way over asking price for homes and may be the biggest factor in driving up this insane real estate market here. They're then turning those homes into rentals. It's not just Californians cashing out and paying big money for properties here.

Have fun.... lived here for 13 years and bought my home for $30K in 2008 and ready to move out of this HOT HOLE and live someplace NORMAL. Can you imagine going into a store & ONLY seeing signs in SPANISH? duh......
Moved to Winslow from La Mirada, CA. It really is not that bad here. Community is extremely diverse, Hopi, Navajo, Chicanos, Whites and 1st gen Mexican-Americans, and everyone is very friendly. There is a job issue here but I have been here for 3 years and have watched so much progress. The photos that were used to show Winslow in this video are outdated, as almost all those homes have been remodeled and renovated. Winslow is on too of one of the largest aquifers in the US. We don't rely on the Colorado River. Summers are mild, Winters can be cold but not harsh. The Spring winds are terrible though! 🤭🤣, And many home-property owners do not understand what curb appeal means.
My fiance grew up in Snowflake and hated it. It has gotten worse and poverty has gone up because the paper mill was shut down which was the main source of jobs.
I lived and worked in Pasadena Ca for over 20 years. I know many wealthy people there who drive old cars and own their homes and they are not pretentious or haughty like people in Scottsdale. Truly wealthy people don’t need to flash their status.
I lived in Phoenix for 4 years and I'll tell you this. The food in these areas is the BEST!!! I love the farmer's markets in AJ (Apache Junction) and Mining Camp restaurant. But yea, Maricopa. It broke my heart to drive through on the way to work.
I love Az.But then I grew up in Ny and Nj.Commie states.I lived in Ks and Mo when I got out of the Army.I hated Mo and loved the Ks side of Kansas City.
I’m surprised he didn’t mention maryvale once, and thank god lmao 😂 I know people pass by maryvale and just look down upon it but I love it, no matter how ghetto it is
Yes, I grew up in Maryvale in the 70s, back then it was pretty safe. We played outside til late in the night, never saw drugs, guns etc. never heard gun fire. Went to Maryvale High. Now I wouldn't go there without protection. It's crazy how different it is, don't even know my own hometown.
Best towns to live probably would be 1. Sedona 2. Prescott 3. Flagstaff 4. Page 5. Williams 6. Showlow, Pinetop, Springerville, St John's 7. Clarkdale cotton wood or maybe Jerome 8. Meadview 9. Payson 10. Lake Havasu city, bullhead city and Parker these are a little hotter than Phoenix even but you probably won't notice
Eeeeegeeeees! I want an Eegee cherry slushie right now. I like your song at the end. Some of those places, like Snowflake, used to be pretty decent to visit in the past, but have gone downhill in the last couple of decades.
Strange mix of people in Arizona and the amount of aggressive drivers/ road ragers mostly by pick-ups is scary...plus it’s just too damn hot in most places.
Those damm driver are not native of Tucson, those crazy aggressive drives come from elsewhere bringing there crazy driving to Tucson. We to slow for y’all folks. We slow drivers we in no rush, all them other folks from other states take residence here and drive like there back home. Tucson is not fast paced we chill and we ain’t got all them highways. Folks driving there still in LA, Chicago, Ohio, Detroit, Philadelphia etc you know what I mean. I know I’m not in no rush to where I’m going, I leave my house a little early to reach my destination. All them aggressive, impatient drivers who reside in Tucson who come from elsewhere chill with your driving. Maybe there wouldn’t be so many fender benders.

LOVE ARIZONA ....BAD TEACHERS...THEY ARE NOT PAID ENOUGH....NO ONE IS....BUT IT WILL GET BETTER.....THE HOUSEING COST IS WAY UP THERE!
Looks great to me ! Everywhere has a dump area with lazy peeps , rest of county looks nice , amazing roads to drive !

Give me the snooty white areas lol ,, go figure !!!
I'm sure it's still a great house for the people living in it now!
Full of meth heads lol same with rim rock and cornville
I agree, I love Camp Verde. Interesting area with charming main street, coffee shops and restaurants. A funky Western Bar, some Antique Stores--and the Fort itself. Surrounded by interesting geographical features and a stone's throw from Sedona. You could do way worse.
Many of these cities might be a great place to visit, but not to live, which is what the video is about.
I cannot avoid thinking about Take It Easy by the Eagles whenever Winslow is mentioned.

Ofcourse you would say that 😂 prescott is the "retirement place" of Arizona but now we are a 50/50 of retirees and Californians😂
Arizona is perfectly fine for retirement folks but not good for raising families
Only if you can take 120 farenheit in the summer in the desert areas. My electric bill went up to $480 a month from late June to September and thats with my AC set at 81 degrees. Late nights would cool off to only 90. 🥵🌵🔥

I'll take gilbert anyway of the week, but I like it hot.

Actually Snowflake is at nearly 6000ft elevation and is pretty cold in the winter including a bit of snow. It rarely gets above 95F in the summer.
And if he ever visited Navajo County he would see Snowflake gets snow almost all winter and it can and does drop to zero at times .
Sounds like I would be right @ home with our eastern winters!
Snowflake:
• wind blows 9-10 months out of the year
• no money unless you are a church member.
• winter is cold and windy with hardly any snow
• marriage? Gene pool is contaminated
Whats funny is, my family moved out here after a huge blizzard in Philadelphia, back when everything closed at 6 PM in Arizona, and my grandfather saved newspaper articles, he was obsessed with Arizona being "The pits of the nation," or the "Source of all his problems," and now it's the second fastest growing state.
I lived in Philadelphia in the late '60's!!! Couldn't breathe!!!
Personal perspective:
I moved here from NYC...
Who knows?

Been to Arizona - too hot!!
🥵
Hello Marilyn how are you doing today.
I have lived in Arizona all my life, it’s a nice place to be......respect
We might be moving to Kingman. We live in northern CA. Would you say it’s worth moving to?

You are absolutely correct. Wonderful, beautiful state.

Hello Julian how are you doing today.

C’mon… my sister has lived on a ranch in Snowflake for over 20 years…it has snowed each winter. You don’t know what you are talking about! This year so far it has come down to 10F. It is not a big town, there are rag tag areas, but Californians are moving and buying up tons of land. Been trying to buy land here to be close to family and it is getting scooped up left and right. Snowflake is 30 mins from Showlow and the beautiful towns of Lakeside and Pinetop - White Mountain areas. I have lived in Florida and Missouri. I lived in Tolleson for 3 years and I have to say my family loved that city. We lived right at the center at tolsun farms. We went to two of the Christmas festivals and we went walking and never had a problem. It was extremely lively and many knew eachother especially since many schools were nearby. Yea it may have its downs to it but tolleson is definitely not the worst place in Arizona. I also had a fair share of living in Maryvale and that place 😐

Exactly! They have the modt calm projects I’ve been too!
You saying that Tolleson is fine because you used to live in Maryvale is like saying "well I used to be hooked on cocaine (Maryvale) but now I'm an alcoholic (in Tolleson) so I'm dealing with a better situation!"🤷🏽♀ 🤦🏽♀
Reality is, Tolleson is poverty stricken, drug ridden and is known for being a transfer point and hideout for people who were either smuggled or snuck into America from over the border which does NOT live up to what is considered quality place to live!

I have been in Az many years. The real estate is laughing all the way to the bank to you people coming from Calif for a "good deal".
They’re fucking us locals over who trying to buy a home
Compared to California’s housing market they are getting good deals
Keep in mind large investor groups like Black Rock are buying up real estate all over the country, including Arizona. They're often paying way over asking price for homes and may be the biggest factor in driving up this insane real estate market here. They're then turning those homes into rentals. It's not just Californians cashing out and paying big money for properties here.
Well, when they sell their 3/2 in ca for 1.2 million, anything in AZ is a good deal. Just drop cash for twice the house in Chandler.
It’s a good deal to someone who sells a house for 3x more than they get here. So they buy a decent house, fix it up me bank the rest. Now that’s a good life. So who is really laughing.

In 1925, Pres. Calvin Coolidge hosted a memorial to Leif Erickson, saying he was the true discoverer of America. (Not Columbus).
As Mayor of Northampton, MA, Coolidge encountered a young singer named Mack Sennett, who was not very good. Rather than demean Sennett, CC instead encouraged him to try acting. Sennett went to Hollywood and started the Charlie Chaplin comedies. So, CC was all right.
