I've only recently gotten back into this game with the new CR boosting event. I mostly focus on Celestial and have found your vids to always be incredibly detailed and helpful. I was wondering with how celestial DPS now works, will there be an updated version of this guide in the near future, there just aren't good enough vids out there that really explain the 'why' of a loadout like this series does.
Haven't played this game in years... iconic powers are now viable for loadouts? Something about having a magical powerset or a lantern ring and shooting blue beams out your eyes just doesn't sit right with me :/
The only iconic power people use is Heat vision with the Solar Amplifier artifact that gives you a damage boost when using the blue beams, it’s basically one of the best options for single target damaga if you’re might

i do not understand how this power works. the whole cleansed/corrupted thing has got me lost. do any of your videos explain how these power interactions work, what order to place them in, and weather or not the combo is required? this power is just all out confusing to me. id like to play around with various loadouts, i just cant figure out what causes what in, what order or what the effect is.

@@ObsidianChill Another very good option would be to use Blight combo. It gives a great burst damage to all surrounding targets, about as much as WotP, and also applies dot dmg, which allows more chances for Start to proc. I would also use Blight combo in place of spamming CS on your single target. By spamming CS multiple times, you are losing the dot after the initial burst. the idea of Celestial is to get a big burst dmg from each power and then also apply dot. If you apply CS back to back, you will get 2 burst dmg but only 1 dot. Apply CS and Blight and you get 2 burst dmg and 2 dot.
Long time Celestial player here, really enjoyed the guide. I am curious though. Would you still run the Grimorium if you could only have lvl 120 arts? I know it doesn't fit with the "max potential" theme but personally I think it would be interesting to see if you would make different artifact choices if you could only have them at 120 or even 160. Either way, great vid, keep it up.
well if you are using divine light in the rotation you can still use grim at 120 for the passive pet damage because its the same as its based on CR. But if you aren't using divine light grim at 120 doesn't apply the aoe PI so you would lose damage from that aspect. Scrap would be fine at 120, Tetra etc
Might loadouts still good as of dark knights DLC? And is celestial good heal for Survival mode? I haven’t seen a single celestial healer on Xbox in forever…. Everyone is water or electric
Do you use combo on consume soul? You didn't mention it as you did with plague(yes) divine light(no) and wrath of presence(yes) apologies im new to celestial and just trying to understand.

I took the free cr 255 skip but decided not to play that character because I feel completely unprepared for content that im cr relevant for. So starting new celestial character going to grind my artifacts and skill points before raising cr much. Although I am going to take advantage of the 77 free skill points from cr skip, through replay badges.
The nth metal and seals are unlimited on test so you can level to whichever you’d like to test at 120-200 etc. Each 0-200 art xp and seals wise is prob around $200-250
Would you say that celestial is better spec'ed out for might or precision? I haven't played this since it came out and was told when it came out that it's a precision based power.
@Jiren The Gray i suck as dps. I always just stuck to healing just because it's easier. I just feel like I don't put out enough damage fast enough to anything using any power but I still like to try. I'm trying out might based for now. Might switch back to precision. I've got a bunch of slots with characters from 7 years ago. Whats a better dps power to use these days?
@Jiren The Gray I stuck to doing dps as celestial with all my sp in might and I gotta say, it hits like a fuckin truck. My number started increasing about a week after my last post and I'm out damaging bosses with people with a higher cr than me. But honestly I just focus on single target damage and not trying to go for huge AOE attacks for multiple trash adds. I've finally found a nice balance and rotation with celestial dps that works for me and clips out of animations fast. I'm out of state for work again so I won't be able to hop on the game any time soon. But I was enjoying my time while I could.
the chat tab I had prob still had the damage parsers set to it as well so while that is pointless to a healer it was just leftover from the chat settings

Is it just me or does strat card work terrible with combo powers? I noticed on ur aoe u were getting like 9k crits with strat, but there were no weapon taps so it was going off your might. There were also 17k crits but I think that was from dervish or any non combo move. Same goes for your st. I also noticed this for all other combo powers including jackhammer. Im pretty sure strat card is bugged
9k would be the base dmg of the strat proc where 17k would be the crits, the strat can proc on any crit so it works best for powers with dots giving it more opportunities rather than just burst which is 1 chance so celestial isn’t too bad from that standpoint and why HV can still be viable for ranged aoe because of the aoe burning ticks

Idk it just seems that strat card is glitched if it procs off a combo power. I literally only see this with Hl, cel, earth, atomic, etc. idk it just seems weird
you could, I haven't leveled the amulet yet and I don't suggest the average player to use amulet because you can do more harm than good to yourself with it.

I also believe Each CR break through should give you 1 Skill Point , and to make it fair they should give The old players their SP too for the CR’s they broke through , so they should definitely INCREASE the skill point spec so that the barrier between the real Grinders and New players won’t be crossed and we’ll still remain OP for the work we put in. Because the 255cr Skip was a utter fail , all the players lacked the Augments / Artifacts level they needed and got destroyed in T9 content, I believe this would fix the way we play DC and not only is gaining XP for Augs/Arts good for new players but it’s also good for common players too , it would make stronger Players start running other content just to get XP for the Arts , helping our new players outs, and I highly suggest that they change the Catalyst as well Dionisium- should cost 1 Source mark Quantum - should cost 3 source marks And the Purple one should cost 5 source marks.
It depends on ur play style, i like all of them but i also like to dps every now and then, and personally i feel like i do more dmg with celestial. But for healing they both are good but water is much easier to master
Celestial is like a combination of light and dark magic. Think of sorcery as magic like Constantine or Zatanna and Celestial is similar to Doctor Fate and Raven
loadouts will be used for different situations but ideally Celestial is used at midrange so you'd want to use the might melee rotation each time you can

For the past 2 months, I've been switching through all of the healing powers because I love to heal. Nature is always amazing for its dots. Sorcery heals are l always fun. I don't use the Circle. I use offerin 4 my pet and with purple healing ray, he works overtime
Electric has great burst heals really good for support heals especially. Water was good and really easy in my opinion the double shields are great for the group along with riptide, which cancels cool down of the last power you use. However, my main in celestial, and in my opinion, the best heals. You have to learn your combos and have them down. It takes time but it's so much fun and you can heal from down the street. The best.
@@greatnakaya I have a celestial , I have him focused on DPS and I may switch to healing. Or both roles if I get more armor saves, I’m always switching and I never know who to settle with haha,
I feel like electric got a buff is it me or something because I doing 20m damage before the first boss and lately I been in the top 2 or 1 of damage did electric get a buff or something
If you're talking about in FGS, its riddled with adds, which electric shines on a ton of adds. Past few DLC have been lacking a bunch of adds for DoT heavy powers to shine well minus FBr
The Glorious Chroma and Aura is on my US toon which isn't fully geared yet so I had to make do on the EU side where I just had the new aura which kinda matched :(
if you want the best damage out of Celestial you have to use specific powers that end up repeating themselves through rotations as they are that much better than the other options available to us.

Most celestial healers panic heal so they blow through all powers when you dont have to
Most Celestial Healers don't. Consume Soul and Admonish do pretty good damage, and powering up PHR is a priority. Perhaps that's what you're seeing?

What needs to happen is they need to change animations mechanics and damage of the regular moves of each power set
celestial dps is just really slow to me, but as for healing i think its the best powerset and love it

Yes for CS you always use the full combo CScWoTp for the full damage

trans strat and eog if u getting it to 200 if not run trans strat and scrap but if u are going healer purple ray orb and then the 3rd is your chiife

Why don’t you use Amulet instead of Strat for Single Target ? I think that would be MUCH better because Strat just doesn’t hit the same with might

I love the range of celestial, but I feel that's a power that requires a established league to run celestial heal as your main character.

For healing I have purp heal Ray, orb, and eog
I’m disappointed I didn’t see glorious chroma on with aura and changed color from red 😞
The Glorious Chroma and Aura is on my US toon which isn't fully geared yet so I had to make do on the EU side where I just had the new aura which kinda matched :(

if you are looking at the 2 ST clips I had a leftover Nitro on for recording that rotation. The other rotations are normal stats which was like 79,333

Y use speed drain instead of pheromone bloom
you can use either, if bloom doesn't crit then speed drain does more damage. If bloom crits its some nice extra burst

if you want the best damage out of Celestial you have to use specific powers that end up repeating themselves through rotations as they are that much better than the other options available to us.
