I still play both games (sometimes the DS version) for the music, graphics (excellent graphics that exceeded most GBA graphics), storyline, and gameplay... And the characters! I also do speed runs.

Motoi Sakuraba is in my eyes a genius. Two of the most beautiful songs in video games came from him; this, which still gives me massive nostalgia nearly 20 years on, and Silence and Life from Eternal Sonata which is heartbreakingly gorgeous. Would I consider him one of the best names in video game composing? Yes.

Omg how I still stan this game series to this very day. Best music in the game. The first 2 are masterpieces. They took too long for the DS sequel and should have included the original cast more. I’m forever hopefully they will one day come back. Even if they’re just remastered (or even just ported?!) onto the switch. Least Isaac is an Assist Trophy in smash bros. I love it when he pops up. The sheer atmosphere and feeling of importance every area in this game series has is incredible, just an almost tangible feeling of presence, bigger than yourself. Something you can’t just conjure with graphics or motion capture, but with artistry and vision.

Just wondering, in your point of view do you think a Golden Sun 4 is needed? I honestly say yes and no. I say yes because I want the game company responsible to finish the arc they started, and no because I wasn't such a big fan of 3....
I understand your point. I too would like the series draw to a close. It's just too bad there's no word about it, and after this long, it looks like there never will be a 4th game. I played Dark Dawn, I wasn't that into the story like the previous two, but being a GS fan, I would, if there was a 4th, play it to see what happens. Mayhaps someday...but I think if I held my breath on that one, I'd pop. XD
John Hanna In all honesty, i don't think that the 3rd game was all that necessary. If anything there should be two prequels of how and why the lighthouses and elemental stars stopped and how they got sealed away, what changes to the land occurred or what events were taking place that would cause someone, or a small group of people to collect those stars. I think that would be pretty cool. If you're happy with the way thing ended in Lost Age....i would keep it in the plastic wrap. however, if you enjoy the fighting style, the summons, djinni collecting then crack that open and play it. The battles are pretty good, the story is it or miss with people.

i think thaht nintendo should be make a golden sun a 3D reboot with other character more later because the 3 is a story very weird and i don't understand really the story is very difficult to understand the story of the 3 is why golden sun 4 need to be later and with an other generations of character différent and not the descendant .
superNPC! I'm kind of pissed that Camelot was hell-bent on blocking the player from backtracking in Dark Dawn, when in GS and TLA you could literally go anywhere in the respective game worlds. Not so in DD! Once you pass through that first set of ruins, once the Grave Eclipse is triggered, FUCK YOU, half the game world, GONE. I wanted to visit Kolima to see how it was handling being covered in darkness, but NOPE, Belinsk and Port Rago are both blocked off by impassable ice floes.

Nooo, This one was really bad, the story does not agree with the other two and when I finished the game I was so mad because the game was too short . I really didnt like it ^^ only the graphics are good.
I honestly pretend I never played the third one, for those reasons and more. I personally got enough closure with the end of TLA to be satisfied; it's never that great to see a series you love so much end, but it's better for it to end and tie up loose ends, than prolong the series to the point that it just ruins everything, which seems to happen too often.
A fourth one will come out, our dreams will be true. Our dreams will neve deceive us of our childhood game. Let the golden sun unite us in glorious sunlight. Then the game can be sealed in delight for history to come.
I just bought a new charger for my old SP solely so I could dig out Golden Sun and play it again. Wonder if its possible to beat Menardi and Saturos during the first meeting?

Operation Moonfall demonstrated a demand for Majoras mask to be remade.. maybe we should follow suit and propose a campaign for Golden sun. Not for a remake but for a prequel/ sequel

I think a series to show sealing the lighthouses would be pretty awesome. Maybe the heroes were ancestors of the warriors of Vale or people of what would be now, Prox. Just some random ideas, but it's something i'd be interested in playing.

You know the first two Golden Suns are some of the best aged games I have personally experienced.
This in my opinion is the most underrated videogame of all time. Personally my favorite game of all time. And the soundtrack is so epic

This is a 20 year old gba rpg. Why are there commercial breaks??? This is one of the greatest OSTs of all time. Commercial interruptions are a sin.
