A first class broadcast - the reading is totally competent, empathic to the story, and without a stumble when it comes to switching voices and descriptive narrative. And that sort of thing! Yes, first class! Thank you for putting in so much effort with such seemingly effortless results!
You’re right, there’s a definite similarity. I imagine this trope has been used by other writers, too. I like the way Benson ramps up the tension in this story.
Benson 's ghost stories really are the most banal , plodding and unoriginal exemplars of their kind. I congratulate you on doing your best to inject some excitement / tension into them. A hopeless task I'm afraid.
That was another awesome story
Another fabulous story by a master of ghost stories! Thrilling plot, beautiful descriptions. And perfectly performed by Mr. Crowest.
Thanks, love these stories. Appreciate all your time and effort. ☺️👵🏻🇦🇺

Brilliant! I just walked into the supermarket, now I'll have some beautiful company! (It's 3:00 p.m. here on Sunday)
Thank you! I hope you enjoy it.
Excellent story, beautifully narrated.
A new E. F. Benson, how enchanting. Mr C, you make it better than it even was - but OMG can you imagine living in "Trench"?
😆 I know what you mean - I’ve no idea where he got the name from.
Chilling! Very well done narration my friend!
Excellent, thank you!
Superb 👻
Excellent story and presentation 👍 I too am v happy to subscribe. The 1st episode I heard, I was in.
Brilliant tale. It would have set well on the Cornish coast.
Decidedly creepy and excellently read!
If I recall correctly, this was made into a movie starring Bela Lugosi. I can't remember the name of the movie.
Interesting, thanks. It’s escaped things like the IMDb.
Beautifully read. Thank you for uploading. Don'tyou find the dénouement a bit reminiscent of M R James' 'A School Story'?
Thank you. I’ll have to remind myself of that one - I’ll let you know!
