This man had quite a magical pen. Haven't heard of him until I came across your channel. Thanks for lending your own magic to the stories, I can't get enough.
What a wonderful story! Not a run of the mill ghost story at all. Many of the words and descriptions are nothing short of poetic. The beautiful narration does full justice to the riveting tale. Many thanks Sir
Good story, beautifully read. I hadn’t heard this one before. I’m sure you have many stories planned, but I hope you will read M R James’s “Count Magnus” some time. Love that one!
Lovely, picturesque tale. Thought-provoking, as well. Is dying with a smile upon your face worth what it takes to gain that smile? Thanks very much for another story new to me.
I first discovered the works of E.F. Benson on your channel and I’ve become a big fan of you both. Today a video popped up with someone else narrating one of his stories. Naturally the first thing I did was check to see if you had also narrated this story and was disappointed to find that you had not. I tried to listen to the other narrator and found that I could not! It just wasn’t the same at all!! 😩😂
@@GhostsByRC Well I certainly can’t expect you to narrate every story I want to hear, although if I ever win the lottery we can revisit that. 😂 The story was the Dust Cloud.
Perfect narration of The Tool inspired me to subscribe. Wonderful voices are rare and getting rarer. I found them here on You Tube horror, of all unlikely places. I was browsing for throw away trash and struck gold. What a happy surprise!
Unusual level of philosophical inquiry 💚 loved the tale and your reading is superb. Now I must get outdoors before the sun sets else I feel a bit too depressed about missing my bit of garden in a sea of concrete. 🌌
Very well narrated sir! Wasn't acquainted with this tale. Seemed to have more in common with an Algernon Blackwood than the usual E. F. Benson. Would love to hear you narrate May Day Eve.
WOWZERS! I really loved this story mythical, mysterious, moving, & masterly expressed…lovely theme- dark ending. Though…(SPOILER ALERT)… NATURE WILL OVER & OUTLAST MAN. Especially if we take more than we contribute, like in these last few & current era; though, the science & evolutionary BIOMIMICRY, REGENERATIVE FORESTRY, CRADLE TO CRADLE INDUSTRIALIZATION, SUSTAINABLE URBAN DEVELOPMENT, grey & black water reuses; & MULTIPLE ALTERNATIVE ways that end the raping of land for now profits but SINCERELY HORRIBLE DEBTS on future generations ARE EMINENT & APPLICABLE, so one can hope we won’t burn up, freeze, drown, or get trampled by Pan! Hahaha😂😅😮😊❤🎉
Thank you. It is an odd phrase. I’m not sure whether he means clear as in distinct, or that there was still enough light to see by where the shadows fell.

to be one with nature is to live with the pain and joy and ennui - the birth, the living of life, and very hurtfully, sickness and death. 🌷🌱🥀

Great story and narration. But what is a "clear shadow"?
Thank you. It is an odd phrase. I’m not sure whether he means clear as in distinct, or that there was still enough light to see by where the shadows fell.

Creepy.......though not for the reason the author intended.
Boring!!! Great narrating but............just not a good story
