Great music. I feel like your style. ❤ I love the way you painted, what’s the easiest way you think to get them ready for paint? I’ve got all the wire brushes-maybe I should buy a bead blaster since I’m doing so much right now. I think we can make our own. I wouldn’t mind like a $35 bead blaster
Thanks you I appreciate it! For cleaning I used a Wire brush and wire wheel and then wiped stuff down with rubbing alcohol and burnt the rest off with a torch (wait for the alcohol to evaporate first before!) Just be careful with the aluminum parts like the front control arms as a grinding wheel will really dig into that soft metal. for painting I should have put a type of primer down first but I was in a time crunch and just did about 2 coats of black and 2-3 coats of glitter clear! I do all this at the end of this episode here-> ua-cam.com/video/nyp2XNSNRFQ/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=610
the bushing u didn’t press out has A LOt of wiggle room but doesn’t move in or out. what do i need to fix this? i don’t think there any where with just that bushing
@@pacny okay, that is a pressed in ball joint. To take that out there is a c-clip and then press out. It can move freely on its joint but if the entire bushing is moving then it should be changed. There is a guy who sells aftermarket ones you can find them on the RX7 FC groups on Facebook
It takes a really long time. If you have an air hammer that's the best way to do it. Some people will light the rubber on fire however I don't suggest doing this because it will melt to the floor and make a big mess and it releases very toxic chemicals you don't want to breathe in.
I suggest getting a drill and making a bunch of holes through the rubber and then trying to pry it out. Some of them have metal insert around the edge that can sometimes rust weld to the subframe and differential housing but be extremely cautious when removing them we do not want to accidentally cut or damage the subframe or especially the differential housing. Very expensive replacement
That's what I thought at first but after touching it with some gloves and stuff it has the property of like a super thick glue. 🤷♂️ I'll just have to do more research on it thank you!
All of the solid bushings for the rear can be bought at ( partsshopmax ) for the rubber bushings they can usually be found on RockAuto or Amazon, I'm not sure but you might be able to find it on Summit Racing but I'm not sure
Man this is perfectly timed!!!
How so LOL?
Keep em coming!

Yeah I'll have to go back and look. I will get back to you on what bushing you need. I'm worried did you take the snap ring out before you pressed it?

Are you referring to the bushing on the bottom of the control arm that connects to the bottom of the knuckle?
@@NorthDakotaCarGuy yes the one that u didn’t press out

How did you remove all of your bushings? I’m doing mine now and having a really difficult time

@@NorthDakotaCarGuy thanks for the link 9:33
that isn't glue, it is silicone grease.

what bushing kits did you use?
The fronts were a polyurethane bushing kit by engineering suspension. Everything in the rear are individual Parts bought from part shop Max
Where can I buy this entire kit?
All of the solid bushings for the rear can be bought at ( partsshopmax ) for the rubber bushings they can usually be found on RockAuto or Amazon, I'm not sure but you might be able to find it on Summit Racing but I'm not sure
What song is this
