I’m going to purchase using your link, hopefully that helps your channel. I need to be really close to the screen - like 4 feet, so hoping I can manage the bounce back with this screen. Thanks for recommendation!
Thank you for supporting the channel! Make sure at that close distance you run the screen loose and have plenty of buffer space. Be careful and start with light swings.
Great video man thank you for sharing. Been about a year now since I setup my sim and have been thinking about a refresh this would be great for putting love the "to the floor" look.
Thank you for that, it is much appreciated! I have been using it a lot since the retrofit and all the new changes are welcomed upgrades. I’m craving a 4k projector now🤤
Thanks for posting. BTW- one of your early videos was recommended to me completely out of the blue. Prior to that I had no idea this was possible for home use. I was immediately inspired to build my own. I have had it for a year and use it every day - sometimes multiple times a day. It has greatly improved my golf game but it’s also a lot of fun to have friends over to play a round at night or in the middle of the winter. My only regret- I didn’t get the premium screen. I went with preferred which is fine but now I may upgrade to premium seeing this new look.
That is exactly why I did this! Makes all the time and effort worth it in the end! Yes, the premium is great and I would definitely recommend the retrofit upgrade when you’re ready. After further testing with other players the last few days, I can 100% confirm the new design has improved the bounce back exceptionally.
Top tier vids. I am converting a garage space to include this and I will take advantage of the links provided. Thk you for that. What is the minimum width required to be able to put hitting mat in the center. I can go up to 11’ with plenty of space on each side. I have 9’ in height at the screen location, 10’ above hitting mat and 18’ of total length.
Thank you for your support! Check my latest video for the BenQ projector. I do a walk through of the new free sim planner 3D tool and have a link for it in the description. You can input your room details and see a 3D rendering with your dimensions with a golfer swinging a club.
Looks good. I just got my C series enclosure and screen. I used bungees to secure the screen along the top bar and zip ties on the sides. But my screen is sagging and has a smiley face appearance. Any helpful hints to get rid of them? Thanks.
Hello, make sure you are doing even tension on the zipties and I would use zipties on the top. You can add more tension on the top middle zip ties to bring that center sag up.
Awesome video! Thanks for taking the time to put this together. One thing I didn't quite catch with the new screen is do you keep the existing lower cross bar that the previous screen was bungeed to and is there any risk of hitting thin shots into the bar now that there is no foam/ramp that you mentioned with the previous screen?
Thank you! That lower bar that the bungees attached to on the old design gets relocated to the new mounting position on the new C-series corner pieces which sets it back about 12” behind the screen now, so it’s out of the way, no power padding is needed with the new design. They basically moved it back and out of the way!
@seef8248 Indeed! Honestly, I was worried when I heard about the new design thinking, “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. But, they did a really good job with the new features and just expanded on an already stellar design!
I already have a screen I purchased from elsewhere. Contacted Carls place and they wont just sell me a enclosure without the screen. Unfortunate they force you to buy the screen if you already have one.
I don’t know, man I’ve the material and the enclosure is cool but they are customer service is piss poor they don’t communicate. Where is my software that I’ve purchased supposed to get the software where is the key? The communication that they are displaying is the worst hands-down, even ordering the simulator on their website is Way difficult than it should be
Hello, I am very sorry to hear that. I know a lot of people who went through Carl's have had nothing but good things to say, but if you are having a bad experience I'm sure they would love to make it right. Please reach out to me to discuss further and I'll see if I can get you in contact with the right person. My number is on our website. I don't work for Carl's Place FYI... I'm just a proud owner of their products and I may be able to help get to the bottom of this.

Will do! You have saved me a ton of work. Greatly appreciated 👍

Great video! Where did you get that Rolex wall clock? I like it a lot nice touch.
Thank you! I actually made it myself.

Sweet, sounds like they thought of every detail from the old rev to the new.

Love your setup! Where'd you get that awesome wall clock?
Thanks, I actually made it myself!
Good looking setup. What size is your Carl’s screen?
It’s a custom diy build through their tool. The actual screen size is 115x86 I believe.
What turf and hitting strip are you using?
It's a DIY hitting strip and turf. Check out the channel for more details on it!
Any possibility of thin shots getting under the screen?
I can confirm after 2 months of use, not one ball has made it under the bottom! The bounce back is also amazing!
What brand is the laptop shelf?
Hello, it is this pipe kit here, amzn.to/3todjlI and then I just went to my local Lowes and bought the wood slats that I thought looked the best.
I already have a screen I purchased from elsewhere. Contacted Carls place and they wont just sell me a enclosure without the screen. Unfortunate they force you to buy the screen if you already have one.
You can just buy the connector pieces and source your own emt pipe.
