Glad you enjoyed it. Seeing all these legends is always amazing but seeing those legends give a helping hand and promoting local bands who open the show for them is something we all need to commend them on.
Watching your journey from listening to your first metal song to going to your first show is so fuckin cool. Theres just something awesome about being able to watch someone elses process of falling in love with a genre of music that youve loved for so long. It is super apparent in your reaction videos how much of a genuine love for music you have, and its really cool you gave metal a chance and have gotten into it so much. I hope you keep exploring different bands and going to shows, and I hope you know that youre in the big family of metal now
SHOW LINE UP: Broken Flesh (Christian Death Metal, Really good local band to Oklahoma) Black Anvil (Black metal, MEH at best) Immolation (Death Metal, Stole the show) Dark Funeral (Black Metal, Solid) Cannibal Corpse (pinched fingerz)
I remember seeing cannibal corpse back in the 90s and it was a totally different experience. Back then obviously nobody was holding a smartphone recording the show lol! People were crowd surfing and moshing throughout the entire crowd, totally different experience! Damn I missed the 90s! Lol! The music is still just as awesome however the concert experience has totally changed across the board. Back then if you didn't come home with a few bruises or cuts no one would believe you went to a death metal concert lol!
I remember when I saw Cannibal Corpse back in 2010 and as soon as I got out of the car I saw Alex Webster giving fans autographs and I talked to Him a bit before the show. Super down to earth and intelligent guy! 🤘
They are always brilliant live, I think I saw them for the tenth time or so at the Party-San Open Air (Germany) this year, and this time again left with a big grin afterwards, Corpsegrinder and his men simply have a good punch, this is how death metal should be, yeay
My exact same experience, when I went to see Cannibal Corpse last month (Nov 6th) at Danforth, Toronto. Black Anvil was okay as a opening band, Immolation was second best band, DARK Funeral was decent and Cannibal Corpse was definitely the best of that night. That show was so crazy I ended up coming home with a bunch of bruises on my arms and torso from the mosh pit. Lol P.S George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher was awesome and hilarious when he was talking to the audience.
I met George backstage in NYC in 1996. My friends band played a show with them in lower Manhattan. He was the nicest and most gracious person. I will never forget that.
Immolation are the greatest DM band of all time if you ask me (along with Incantation and Gorguts), happy you guys liked them too. Most of their albums are mandatory listens for every DM fan, but if I had to recommend any single album over the others I'd probably recommend going for Close to a World Below. Also glad to see CC are still in great form!

very cool. we got to see Cattle + Obituary + Carcass + Amon Amarth on Thursday night out here in NorCal, it was def one of the top 5 metal shows I've ever been to. \m/
it's very difficult to dig yourself in the music of the Cannibal Corpse, but once you like it, there's no going back. I remember my delight when I saw them on TV in 1993. The report from Moscow concert lasted no more than 3 minutes. It was love at first sight, for life. I saved up money for a long time, saving on school lunches and public transport, and bought all their albums on tape cassettes. We didn't have CDs for sale then, and CD players were a luxury then in Ukraine, and our parents couldn't afford to buy such expensive musical equipment. I listened to Cannibal Corpse on a cheap chinese tape recorder while my parents were away. They thought that with age my passion would pass, but they were very mistaken. In 2014 Cannibal Corpse were going to give a concert in my city Kharkov, Ukraine. But because of the armed aggression by russian federation against Ukraine, Cannibal Corpse had to cancel the concert.
Happy to see that you are going to shows. I have a suggestion that will have you enjoy the shows even more. Since you want to keep your hearing in tact, I suggest getting “eargasm earplugs”. It will let you hear the music the way it’s supposed to sound only at a lower decibel.
I def recommend checking out Municipal Waste live, they always put on a fun performance with super lively crowds! The last time I saw them there was tons of stage diving, crowd surfing, and trash cans being flung around.
I really recommend getting some high-quality earplugs, that don't have a bias towards cutting the trebles (as foam ones do). I use the ones by Alpine, but I'm sure there are many other alternatives.
I second this. I went to a LOT of death metal shows in a 15 year span, without any hearing protection whatsoever. My ears literally never stop producing the high pitched, continuous ringing. Seriously, wear ear plugs guys, you'll be happier ten years from now.
Definitely! I have Earpeace earplugs which I loveeee but I couldn't find them before the show! Those little clear cases man. I always wear ear protection regardless if I'm performing or seeing a show. I'll look into your earplug brand though!
